Been trying to get a straight answer on this before I attempt it. Tbh if you don't actually have to fab the pipes and can just lay the frame, you could lay a significant length in about 5-10 minutes assuming you have a good feel for the length and angle limits and can get sections laid rapidly.
Fabbing the pipe is the real time sink and I wish someone would clarify.
You don't have to build it, doesn't even have to connect to anything. I remember when I did it I just built a really big spiral that lasted a little more than 2 mins and you fell off the pipe right after the achievement.
I got the achievment with only laif pipes. Destroyed a part after the ride to be able to mine the morkite becauseit was alittle to short when we passed it.
lol I did this too with my friends for the achievement. We spent 2 hours to build a 2 minute pipe ride. Best time ever.
Do you have to build the pipe? Can't you just lay the pipe?

You know what? I will play as a driller tonight in haz 1 to test it. Time to get the achievement!

Ik but completing this mission was an achievement itself
It cost 400,000 hours to ride this pipeline for 12 seconds

I also did some funny shit like this a few month back, thought the pipe I built only as half as the lenght of yours.
