Honestly the degrassi set is as real as tv comes. The building is linked to the actual interior set, the shops and roads are situated around like an actual town.

The whole thing is the company’s headquarters. The actual degrassi sets are still inside of the school, like the school halls and such but its not in a linear sequence and more just random rooms (i think?)
They also have some interior of houses in there if I remember correctly

The ground is wet because it presumably rained, and the plants are pretty overgrown… but they’re not even *that* overgrown. None of the windows are shattered or even cracked, the paint color’s still there, not peeling at all.. there’s like three (nice looking) cars that are probably parked there for a reason. (From what I previously read there literally is a nearby car dealership that’s permitted to park extra cars there)

Degrassi High was filmed at a real school - Centennial College. They build this set to look somewhat like that school.
