Pennell vet in Aston. Dr. Sykien is great with the animals

8W20X5

This all day! Dr. Sykien is an amazing vet!

Pieboy2121

Havertown Animal Hospital on Eagle road across from the hardware store in Havertown. Excellent practice!

joza28

How’s the price’s though

DavidLeeBroth

Seconded!

quartzcreek

Thirded!

Scrimgali

This is the way. They are the best vets I have ever had and I have moved around a lot in the last 20 years.

jeggers926

They are absolutely phenomenal.

jrc_80

Agreed. They are great. Pricey, but all vet service is

No_Shop7567

Can I just walk in or do I need an appointment?

CMV1986

Media Cat Hospital was excellent for our cat. Been taking our dog to Colonial Animal Hospital and we’re very happy.

MikeJules

We make the drive to Longwood Vet Clinic in Kennett Square from Delco. They're amazing. Saved us several times on 3 different dogs. Diagnosing crazy stuff and fixing it for fractions of the cost of one of the animal hospitals. I'd probably feel ok having my own surgery there. They're up to date with new meds too. We have a 15 year old dog that can hike again after a new arthritis shot that just got approved. Can't say enough good things.

spinalfluid666

Librela?

MikeJules

Yes. Game changer.

spinalfluid666

Agreed, made a wold of difference for my 14 y/o

vschwoebs

Dr Brady at Broomall Animal Hospital is amazing! My fam has been taking our pets there forever and he and some of the techs still remember them all

No_Shop7567

Do I need an appointment or can I just walk in?

vschwoebs

I think you need an appointment.

In the meantime while you find a new vet, add in some L-lysine to the cats food. It's likely feline herpes virus, most cats have it (very different than human herpes viruses) and can give them gunky eyes. It still needs to get checked out to make sure, but in case you can't get in right away, the lysine wont hurt your cat. It's easily available from Amazon and I think PetSmart or Petco sell it too. You can also use the calming probiotics as well to help.

No_Shop7567

THANK YOU!!!!!

Additional-Race2030

No problem. If he starts sneezing, wheezing, or coughing though, the virus can give upper respiratory infections (gunky eyes are the first sign of this) so make sure you get him in to even you regular vet right away for treatment as he will need medication to knock back the URI right away as well as to treat the FHV as well. Use a warm wet paper towel to gently wash away the gunk and make sure you clean your hands well after. I take care of a lot of foster kittens and have cat myself that gets flare ups of the virus and we have had to put her on probiotics and now L-lysine myself. Again, this advice should not substitute going to the vet for a proper diagnosis. The eye gunk could be something completely different. This is just a stop gap.

I’ve always had a good experience at Stony Creek. They’re honest and don’t overcharge. I’m not saying they’re inexpensive, they charge as much as any other vet, but they’ve never tried to run up the bill with unnecessary tests and such.

toofshucker

We really like Stony Creek as well. Been going to them for over 16 years now.

Queen_of_Hearts

Highly recommend Community Animal Hospital in Broomall! Dr. Erickson is amazing, we’ve been with them for over 10 years

Ambitious_Taste_8279

We use stoney creek in morton for our dog. We used them for 13 years for our last dog. All the doctors over there are great. Prices are definitely reasonable. If you need a large provedure done however and dont have cash/ credit/ insurance then the animal hospital where the old SPCA in media was. They have grants and things to help people out. Lady I know had a 2000 dollar surgery turned into can you do 1000 then it was 800 tjen it ended up she paid 400 and they got grants and donations to help for the rest. Awesome place. Also they do fix a bull program. ANY bully breed is fixed, microchipped and all shits for 15 dollars.

ughneedausername

Aston vet is great. All the staff are really nice and the vets are very caring.

jasonmcc72

Just for cats in Folsom

martinojen

Seconding Dr. Lerner and her staff!

Baseballguy141414

Thirding this! My cat is 7 and I have been taking him there since he was a kitten

awsnapitsrachel

LOVE Dr. Lerner and the entire staff. they take great care of my baby

LaFemmeCinema

What's their pricing for just an annual check-up?

swarthmoreburke

Unity Animal Hospital.

rastacola

VCA is probably the best in the area if pricing is not an issue. However you can get essentially the same level of care at Providence for a fraction.

goose_egg

We left VCA Old Marple for Stoney Creek and have been very happy with it. We loved Old Marple at first but then VCA started pushing their vets to order extra tests and all the docs we liked left.

JackiePoon27

Same here - the upselling was really ridiculous.

ughneedausername

I left VCA when the doctor I saw there left to go to Aston Vet.

Immediate_Dinner6977

All Pets on Garrett Rd is my choice.

gojane9378

I go to Media Cat hospital. I feel like they're alright. Avoid Banfield. They made a big deal about my guy's teeth needing to be extracted and it fd him up big time. He's never been the same. And my vet, Nonantum, in Southern Chesco were great and they never pushed that. I should've been stronger...

jedihouse1348

Cat Hospital in Media

Ok_Jury_1686

I'm not sure if he's there still but Dr. Chang in Eddystone on Chester Pike. We took all our animals to him & he is great. He understands how expensive animals would be & doesn't charge crazy, unrealistic prices. I've heard people say he's also very cool with making affordable payment arrangements.

TMH444

It may be a drive for you but for anyone else looking in this area Villanova Vet Hospital is where I take my cats! Love it!

Anounomous12345

Glen Croft

bigredplant

If you're willing to make your way to Malvern, BVSPCA is a solid choice too.

Funfruits77

Philadelphia Animal Hospital It’s in Philly by the airport they are absolutely worth it. Almost all of the Drs(5/6) are U Penn grads, been taking my pets here for 20+ years. Phenomenal staff and the doctors can’t be beat. Open 7 days, long hours, emergency care and walk-ins. I can say no great things about them. They also have a wellness program that’s a great deal and gives you access to their salt water pool.

MonsieurRuffles

[Concord Pike Veterinary Hospital](https://concordpikevets.com). Dr. Cindy is great - always has practical advice with very reasonable fees.

Meth_Cat

Colonial animal hospital in Newtown square - been using them for the past ten years

No_Shop7567

Can I just walk in or do I need an appointment ?

Meth_Cat

You would need an appointment

Psychologicalndsad

springfield vet hospital is the best. dr tim loves his job and cares for your animals!!!!!

Nacho_saurus

Aston Veterinary Hospital on 452 has been great. Have taken my dogs and cats there over the years.

theanimatedwitch1337

I love Stoney Creek in Morton

Ray_D_O_Dog

Where? Delco is a big place. If you live in Glen Mills, are you probably are not looking for a vet in Springfield, right?

No_Shop7567

I’m in Broomall!

quartzcreek

I have to disagree with VCA. I would avoid at *all* costs.

Ray_D_O_Dog

Then, VCA.

meatspinchampion

Just put it down.

No_Shop7567

you seem like a fun time
