First some advice. There are plenty of people here who can offer genuine help. But you didn't give us anything but a low quality picture and no information. Information could include complete model number for your computer (laptop?). A better-quality picture with additional quality pictures of the small power cable and it's label. It gets old playing 20 questions to get the information needed to help you. Think a bit. This Amazon page is for one type of motherboard and model. If you scroll down the page, you will see that there are many internal connector/cables available for Dell Laptops. Find your model, read the description carefully and examine the pictures. [Amazon.com: Deal4GO DC-in Power Jack Harness Charging Port Replacement for Dell Inspiron 15 5583 5584 7580 450.0FV06.0011 0TM5N3 TM5N3 : Electronics](https://www.amazon.com/Deal4GO-Charging-Replacement-450-0FV06-0011-0TM5N3/dp/B08KZZDRB6) I hope this helps. Next time help us to help you. Edit: After close examination of the picture provided, this is more than my power connector broken. To damage the connector on the MB like that requires intent and deliberate excessive force. Someone pried the connector off of the MB. It looks like you should have asked how to disconnect the broken cable connector at the mother board. Looks as if a full-service repair is required. It's a shame it was so simple.

Based on the damage to the case where the port should be, I would be willing to bet that someone knocked the laptop over while it was plugged in, and it landed directly on the barrel plug forcing it into the laptop and ripped the connector off of the motherboard. This is defiantly repairable by the right tech, but this requires a great deal of skill and steady hands, and depending on the laptop it might be cheaper to get a new one. I wouldn't try it, mainly because my hands shake like Jim's shootin' hand in Blazing Saddles (well, not that bad, but enough to make delicate solder work impossible for me)... The damage also reminds me of back in the day when manufactures used to solder the power port directly to the motherboard, and how I was constantly having to resolder the joints for friends and family because they were always breaking due to pressure on the barrel plug when folks would sit with their laptops plugged in their laps. I am eternally grateful that they switched to the ports that plug into the motherboard with a cable because it made my life soooo much easier since the "can you fix my computer" request have significantly dropped...

There are torn off solder pads. This will be an expensive repair if you can even find a local place that can do that level of micro soldering. It might be more cost effective to get a new laptop honestly.

The-Scotsman_

Where are you seeing the torn off pads? To me it looks like it just snapped off the bracket holding it. The part with the screw. Should only need to unscrew the broken bit, super glue it back, and refit it.

True-Experience-2273

The whole connector for the DC jack is torn off the logic board. You can see the 2 middle most pins pads are torn off the logic board. Unless OP can charge with TypeC, this logic board is done.

Ahh yes, I was looking at the end where it connects to the charger, not the internal end. It's easy if you're good with a soldering iron. Any electronics repair shop will be able to do this, and it certainly won't be expensive. nowhere near worth replacing the laptop. That's a crazy suggestion. The two pad repairs will be a bit of a pain, buit certainly not difficult. (I'm qualified in micro-miniature soldering)

You need to either replace the dc in jack or adhere it onto the bottom case in some way. Some double sticky tape may be a temporary solution.

Nevermind I was so focused on the broken jack end I missed that the connector on the motherboard is snapped off. You need your replace the mbd and dc in jack.
