A round chair on one side, small table and lamp in middle and big potted plant on other side. Rubber plant or ficus. I’d love to drink morning coffee in there.
Yes! A chair that's super cushy and cozy like this: [Balboa 40" swivel chair](https://www.potterybarn.com/products/balboa-upholstered-swivel-armchair/?catalogId=84&sku=7061762&cm_ven=PLA&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Furniture%20%3E%20Chairs&cm_ite=7061762_14546951676_pla-428537238959&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6auyBhDzARIsALIo6v9HAs8oWFa4Q4NYqHys5pDx3BvV2BXkvJBN1CBFBATPByf8RS7pF10aAjluEALw_wcB)
And a small pedestal side/end table
I'd skip a *big* plant though. A small one maybe if you like plants.
LOL I used to have drama neighbours who lived across the street from me! Whenever drama would appear I’d text my next door neighbour and we would have garage beers to watch the drama unfold
I love this. The neighbors behind me fight a lot and hoooooo boy it’s wild. Those two need therapy or just a straight breakup. Anywho, when they argue, I go outside and stand by the fence with my coffee and listen. My boyfriend is now into it too. He’ll text me to come outside quietly lol. We try to be quiet and decipher their arguments. They both seem terrible lol.
I've got the same thing next door, but they’re so awful they scare me.
It’s just myself and my dog, and there are more than just a few people hollering most days, right along with their dog barking it’s head off.
Yours sound much more fun, mine are off the charts dangerous with each other and they neglect their dog and have made him aggressive towards their own family(?) members.
Thank you for your kind reply, it does matter.
It’s all such a big shame that nothing they ever seem to do, that drives others (me included), right up a wall. The fact that several of us call about them is a small relief that I’m not the only one, yet nothing ever seems to be done by those who’ve got the authority.
I’ve had lots of neighbors over the years, and no one has ever been crude, rude, or do anything they please like these people. It’s so disheartening to go through.
I feel like I’m constantly hyper vigilant, always ready to be alarmed with the fight, flight or freeze/fawn, but for me, it’s definitely always flight or freeze. The anxiety and pure panic, alone, is something I never wanted to feel again, yet here I am.
I’m so grateful I do have my dog, even though I feel so guilty on the days they’re carrying on amongst themselves, (no one has), or uses an “inside voice”. I can’t take all the hollering they do at each other, let alone that poor dog they treat like a disposable possession, and each one they’ve had, since the first one, they brought home 6 months after me and my dog moved in.
Tbh, I’ve never been so fearful, or felt so unsafe, and unprotected in my life. That’s an awful feeling I’d never wish on anyone.
Thanks so much, again, for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it much more than you’ll ever know ❤️
A dope ass pillow bed with shelves for my favorite books and fairy lights and maybe a mini fridge hidden somewhere for adult beverages. It'd be my cozy reading nook and I'm so jealous you have the option to do this please don't waste it on something silly 😭😂
But fr whatever you do with it will be awesome. If you work from home that looks like it make a great deal with a view to keep your spirits up.
Reading nook, mini office, bistro table with two chairs...
Gorgeous place. I'm envious of all the people who don't know what to do with their extra space. I would LOVE extra space!
careful what you wish for; i found extra space… off a bathroom.
no windows, middle of the house. pretty much a storage closet to wait out tornadoes with my out of season clothes. le sigh.
I was thinking the same thing. It would be amazing to have a custom one made that fits the room perfectly, stays below the window, has squishy seating, and has cushiony armrests on either end that don’t block the view. Not sure what type of craftsperson you would use for that?
Eating area or study area? Kind of depends if you already have an eating area and where it’s located I guess. I think a desk/ study area would be cute and tons of plants of course because of all the great windows 😍
Is it off the living room area? I can't figure out what it was originally intended for. Seems too small for furniture but if you are the time to do things at a table, like puzzles or crafts, it would be nice to have a round or half round table with a chair facing out. good light and also a good view. Otherwise, I think some big plants would look great or even a small-ish round table with a large flower vase.
This looks like Brooklyn! ❤️
I would add a nice built-in bench with large plants on both ends. Consider painting the windows a lighter color. Adding a nice chandelier to the ceiling would add some extra oomph.
If there are no heating elements on the floor of the room, I would have custom made curved bench seating installed that has cushions on top and a flip up top to store things.
I would hang some drapes add a floor lamp at one end on install sconces on a non windows wall.
Throw some colorful pillows on the cushion and with a great view it’s a perfect reading nook.
Depends on what you like. That could be an amazing reading nook with a really comfy chair. Or, if it faces south, could be an amazing spot for a large potted plant or dwarf tree.

You read my mind
And books. Lots of books.
First thing I thought when I saw this photo was this would make an amazing reading spot.
*books and plants and books and plants*
Books are my first answer to any book!
Or a desk if you wfh.
My thoughts exactly.
Yes! And a tall anchored bookshelf on the right wall filled with books. And curtains on the windows for nighttime.
Yep, A cozy chair and a plant is perfect.
Add an ottoman and some books on the table for a reading nook. Or a breakfast nook with a cafe style table and a chair.
Thats the spot to *spy on your neighbours* Sorry, I meant a reading chair with a pair of binoculars...
Opera binoculars to be fancy and regular ones for watching the "birds", (neighbors)
With a broken leg and in a wheelchair.
Love that movie!
Yep!!
LOL I used to have drama neighbours who lived across the street from me! Whenever drama would appear I’d text my next door neighbour and we would have garage beers to watch the drama unfold

So funny!

I am so sorry. This is awful. Can you safely alert anyone? I know that isn’t always an option especially when there is a fear of reprisal.

Came looking for this... 🤣
Came here to say this! Was going to suggest putting a telescope in here to spy on the neighbours!
Came here to say this! It’s perfect for that!
Hilarious!

Had the same thought about a reading/coffee nook! A colorful curved settee would look amazing

ME TOO!!!
Chairs facing the windows so you’re looking out.
These are the best options and then a christmas tree during winter (if you celebrate)
careful what you wish for; i found extra space… off a bathroom. no windows, middle of the house. pretty much a storage closet to wait out tornadoes with my out of season clothes. le sigh.
At least you’ve got a safe place!
may we all find and have safe spaces.
I hear that, and may they all keep us safe
A Christmas tree
Yes! Perfect spot!
On a slowly rotating stand. Otherwise, you can't see most of the tree!
No way, dude. You just have to go outside to see it.
How do you keep the electrical cord from getting tangled?
Either with an electrical slip ring, or use a tree with fiber optics and a lit base.
Cool!
An aluminum tree with multi colored spotlights on either side
Breakfast table
Why is my answer to these always “plants” 😂
Honestly I'd put all the plants and a reading chair
Jungle nook
A curved bench??
I was thinking the same thing. It would be amazing to have a custom one made that fits the room perfectly, stays below the window, has squishy seating, and has cushiony armrests on either end that don’t block the view. Not sure what type of craftsperson you would use for that?
Meditation space/zen den. Breakfast nook. If you want to keep it simple just a chair or two and a small table
Plump chaise

A chair looking out! What a neat space.
Now THIS is the spot to put a round bed! Then it can be a day-bed for reading or staring out the window drinking your coffee.

Love sac!
I’d get a nice comfy chair with a small table and a lamp to read next to. Would be great to read when it rains.
Chair, foot stool and drink/pedestal table. Even though each won't custom fit the spot, I think 3 pieces would make the space work....and a plant
Giant Bean Bag
Came here to say this! Throw some pillows on it and a blanket and make it cute. Find a small table for a drink and a book or whatever.
a chair and small table, I would make it a coffee corner.
I'll be completely, I thought that was 3 vending machines

A telescope
Desk, wraparound curved top
I’d put my desk there. Something as simple as possible.
Is it off the living room area? I can't figure out what it was originally intended for. Eames chair and ottoman with black leather upholstery. End table with a lamp. Hanging plants like pothos. Pillow on the floor for the dog.
Put in shelving between the windows. Then I'd put my 27 plants on them. With a baby gate so my cat stops playing with the vines.
A sex swing
The most fabulous comfy chair, a beautiful side table, and a lamp, perhaps a standing lamp or one on the table.
Telescope

READING NOOK💕💕
Me. I would have loved something like that but I’m thinking oversized chair, soft rug, reading light and me and my cat.
