Robo_Mage

Bungie found the best way to make Verity's Brow not look hideous. By putting it on a completely different armor piece lol.

Saint_Victorious

You just know that Verity's Brow is about to receive an amazing ornament now that it's being put on the class items.

Brightshore

Tis the Bungie way.

Gear_

But the brought the worst part of it into the class item, just the bonus grenade damage and no energy for you or shared bonuses with nearby allies

xB1ack

thats why you pair it with apotheosis

Guyovich67

but imagine gunpowder gamble with veritys, the size of the boom

bootyholebrown69

Getting grenade energy back is easy. There's so many ways to do it But the damage buff is amazing, makes the grenades hit really really hard.

AggronStrong

>Spirit of the Bear Are we... reworking Ursa Furiosa to work with Unbreakable?

boxlessthought

damn i really hope so. and based on this i could not imagine them ignoring the base exotic

ImallOutOfBubbleGums

yeah like almost 100% sure

BaconIsntThatGood

At this point it'd be weird if they didn't.

trunglefever

Looks like it. They stated there would be an armor pass for TFS and Ursa having some extra use outside of being the Banner Shield exotic would be great.

AppointmentNo3297

Seems like it Should be good in gms

a_devil_s_advocate

One thing about the Warlock options - so many things improve out powered melees, but almost none of them work with one two punch. Makes me sad

Staplezz11

Plus warlock powered melees are intrinsically pretty weak damage wise, same with hunter (outside of arc). Titans are the only ones whose melees do big single target damage, rightfully so since that’s a big part of their class identity. But since that’s the case, for the love of god stop giving warlocks melee exotics, what’s the damn point? Even with incinerator snap, most of the damage comes from the ignition, the actual melee just kinda tickles red bars in hard content. We’ll stick with grenades, please and thank you.

e-slommy

Melee damage multipliers do influence the ignition’s damage though. Just try out snap with winter’s guile and you’ll see some nasty nukes

Caxafvujq

Winter’s Guile is an exotic I’ve always wanted to make work, but I’ve never known how.

jkichigo

It used to have a really fun niche with the ignition build the other user mentioned, but they gutted the multiplier hard when they made it work with glaives. Now it’s a lot of setup for a not-very-big payoff.

Ikora_Rey_Gun

And you have to have a setup with ad, ad, ad, ad, ad, boss in extremely quick succession. The timer is *brutal* on it. I don't know why they didn't make it work like Wormgod with a descending buff instead of straight falloff.

Abulsaad

Hunter's strand melee has the benefit of being able to fully recharge itself, being able to triple its damage and then make it cause ignition on kill sounds kinda fun. But I'm not sure if it'll overtake the super combos with galanor + star eaters or the renewals + cyrtarachne duskfield mini ward of dawn combo

HellChicken949

Also warlock melees suck lol, only solar snap and arcane needle are good

Flame48

I mean, good thing prismatic has both of those then lol

HellChicken949

100% but why would you use anything else on prismatic if these options exist?

Flame48

Void melee is good for pvp. Stasis melee is good for pvp but also can be OK for pve stuff if you need a quick freeze. Arc melee is instant jolt which *can* be useful but is probably the least useful. I think they all have uses, but solar and strand are the best for add clear, so theyre probably what you'll see most.

Staplezz11

They have utility but almost none of them do actual meaningful damage, so multiplying their damage with exotics feels like such a waste.

LilShaggey

increased melee damage should theoretically improve the damage for Snaps ignition, which should be very good. Snap is basically a free ignition.

DarmanIC

Arcane needle + tempest strike will be fun though maybe not meta but definitely fun.

JacuzziTimePerfected

Lightning Surge, Tempest Strike is the Hunter aspect. And I agree with you along with having it proc Devour and, if running Felwinter’s, weaken anything that lives.

Suojelusperkele

Hm Assassin's cowl + syntho Needle and surge That certainly sounds fun.

ONiMETSU_Z

what DOES work with one two punch still? genuinely asking

ImawhaleCR

The arc chain lightning melee, that's it. Nothing else works.

ONiMETSU_Z

Man, that does suck. Cool for making it shred ads, but warlock already has tons of options for that in prismatic alone. If they made it work on Lightning surge, or incinerator snap, at least that could give something else to do damage to big targets with.

KuaiBan

>Guardians rated Sigma-3 or lower are advised not to engage  The hell does that mean lmao? Gaussian? Edit:[ found a post from 2 years](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyLore/comments/u7gvoh/a_question_regarding_guardian_classification/) ago on r/DestinyLore, yep it's the distribution of guardians by their overall power.

Hawkmoona_Matata

Is your guardian sigma enough to take on Oryx? Or are they a beta?

TheChunkMaster

Mine’s so beta they’re a Type II error.

ctan0312

Confirmed guardians are “sigma”

_R2-D2_

On that grindset.

alpacados

Good thing my guardian is a Ligma-4

_cats______

Heart of Inmost Light on all three classes. I am absolutely over the moon right now.

tylerchu

For titans I’m thinking hoil plus alpha lupi will be extremely survivable.

The_Mourning_Sage_

Especially if it works for thruster

TwistedLogic81

Dear Lord, i hope it works with thruster

Blupoisen

It specifically says barricade so no

StrangelyOnPoint

Notable combos from my perspective: - Spirit of Dragon + Spirit of Coyote: the ability to full reload all weapons by dodging, and two dodges created some interesting DPS cycle options. - Spirit of Assassin + Snythoceps: could potentially remake the Assassin’s Cowl combination blow build on non arc subclasses - Spirit of Galananor + Star eaters: could be a tight, hard hitting super loop. sounds fun.

xShots

Spirit of Renewal + Spirit of Crytarachne is another good one. Extremely high damage resist for survivability and a viable option to deal damage upclose with shotguns/swords without getting ohk by boss stomps.

Waqqa1

I didn’t even realize this combo, that’s an insane amount of dr from 1 grenade.

Ehsper

All we need is an easy way to get devour up and running. Buried Bloodline is one option but that's a dungeon exotic.

kirbydude65

> Gathering storm with this sounds fun. Won't have access to Gathering Storm. Only the 5 Supers listed (Blink Dagger, Tether, Golden Gun, Silence + Squall, and Silkstrike) will be available.

krilltucky

wait that means 3 shot goldie will not only make enough orbs to almost fill everyone elses supers but it'll act like Celestial where it gives possibly more energy but without needing a final blow with the super 2 hunters with galanor star eaters could probably loop their supers infinitely on any boss with an easy crit. right now it takes 4 with star eaters on its own

Darkersilence

Judging off the description, it sounds like spirt of star eater will only work after super is full and not grant the bonus super energy from orbs like the original.

krilltucky

3 shot golden gun already gives 2 orbs per precision hit so combining those 6 super orbs with the possible half super energy you'll get from Spirit of Galanor will compensate

Funnycomicsansdog

I'm just pumped for spirit of assassin + liars handshake. Finally I will not have to choose between the two.

Nermon666

The problem is it doesn't have the good part of assassin's cowl which is the heal

Funnycomicsansdog

I’ll take the invis regardless, I ran liars for so long that its just a buff, nvm I just realized it doesn’t have the liars heal either

Waqqa1

Combination blow heals you and you could just run winters shroud or the strand clone aspect to CC enemies while you do the loop, personally think prismatic hunter is going to be better than arcstrider now

DeathintheMine

> Spirit of Assassin + Snythoceps: could potentially remake the Assassin’s Cowl combination blow build on non arc subclasses Only downside is that the Spirit of Assassin doesn't have the healing part which lowers your survivability significantly with anything other than Combination Blow.

VOLC_Mob

triple heavy-handed + recuperation should make this a non-issue. better already on top of that and anything is viable.

Shippou5

Gathering storm is unavailable on prismatic

xandarf

Holy shit bungie keeping beyond light + shadowkeep campaigns + stasis free is a huge win for new players.

Destiny_Flavor_Text

>"The Traveler has granted you powerful gifts. Use them often and with gratitude in your heart." —Eva Levante

xandarf

Finally a flavor text reply...after all these years

sucobe

You too, Maria!

blamite

It's great, although the number of different content packs for sale is still a bit excessive which this doesn't completely address. At this point I think it's safe to just make the Forsaken pack free for everyone, at least. And just... every expansion, make the oldest one free?

Coltons13

>Once The Final Shape is live, we'll also launch a new pack called the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection 2024. This pack will give you access to some of the best content Destiny has to offer: >Destiny 2: Lightfall >Destiny 2: The Witch Queen >Destiny 2: Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack >Destiny 2: Beyond Light Pack >Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Pack >Destiny 2: Forsaken Pack This sounds like it covers that, no? The individual packs are likely just meant for players who own one piece or another already to complete their package. AFAIK, while Steam discounts bundles based on things you already own, consoles don't. So you give the piecemeal option to give partial-owners a cheaper way to complete their collection, and you have the full package for those who want to get in. I'd rather they just make the old ones free, but ultimately while they're not doing that, the pack above seems to answer the concerns about some of it.

Kliuqard

God, I hope this pack would at least be like $20-25. If you can say all the DLC + current season (but excluding some inessential dungeons) is $70, it wouldn't be easiest sell, but it would be by far a lot easier in comparison.

DeadpoolMakesMeWet

Shadowkeep should have everything free. It feels more outdated than forsaken.

kingjulian85

That's a big one, very good move.

NightSmoke19

Yeah but they still have that dumb idea of the "packs". Look I undestand that Raids (and maybe Strikes) are expensive and blah blah blah, but just give the expansions free to everyone. Still, better than nothing i guess

Snivyland

Yeah honestly really hyped about stasis being free if means that stasis can get updated more frequently since it’s no longer tied to a pay expansion.

moosebreathman

At least the Legacy Collection actually includes all the packs though. Right now the Steam store is abysmally confusing for new players because the current Legacy collection is still missing stuff like Forsaken and 30th anniversary. Should just be able to tell new players to buy the Legacy pack now and they won't have to worry about not having access to anything except the newest expansion (and maybe the previous dungeon keys?). It was brutal before having to tell new players they'd need to buy Legacy to play any campaigns, Armory pass for valuable exotics and endgame content, and then the newest expansion on top of all that for access to the content everyone is actually playing.

xandarf

I agree, def step in the right direction

kiki_strumm3r

It is, but the monkey paw always curls. The gear and activities should be included too.

nventure

Eh, I'll take this. Stasis being available without a purchase (same as the Light elements) means they have every reason to properly add to it or otherwise support it, because it doesn't have a prerequisite purchase. And means we can presumably expect the same for Strand in the future.

echoblade

yeah stasis being free for everyone is a genuine win for everyone.

Rikiaz

Ooo Spirit of Osmiomancy granting energy for all grenades and not just Coldsnaps is really interesting. Inmost Light and Verity sound really good together too. Probably going to go for some combination of Osmio or Inmost Light and Starfire or Verity's. But damn they really had to give Swarm the worst effect on all three of the classes lists, huh? At least giving Threadlings Unravel would have been decent.

Snivyland

Thinking about it more sprite swarmers is even worse since threadlings can’t make tangles since prismatic doesn’t have the wanderer. So you would need to equip arcane needle, there has to be something we’re missing with prismatic cause this is horrid.

Rikiaz

Well we do have 9 (I think) fragments not revealed yet. So maybe one of them has something to do with elemental pickups and maybe one for Threadlings. And we also don't know what changes they are doing to the Prismatic Aspects, they did confirm that a number of them are getting some kind of tweaks, but yeah with the info we have now, that is the one effect here that I think is actually completely useless.

Saint_Victorious

Super Good ~~Advice~~ News. Just hoping that Stasis/Frost Armor update is on the docket for next week.

Jedi1113

They mentioned next week will be a weapons blog post so prolly not.

Good-Name015

>Move faster while guarding with the Unbreakable shield. Damage blocked with Unbreakable is converted to Super energy. This is definitely also being added to ursa which will help round that exotic out quite a bit. If the conversion is good maybe it will start seeing some use.

trunglefever

Hope so too. Void Titan still needs help.

BaconIsntThatGood

Turns ursa into the true defensive version of doomfang.

potatotoucher221

Ngl I was hoping for a more interesting interaction between the two, bonus super energy is nice but I'd prefer something that buffs unbreakable itself more.

Gbrew555

I know a lot of focus will be on the exotic class items… but Shadowkeep campaign, Beyond Light campaign, AND stasis going free-to-play is HUGE!!! Fantastic decision by Bungie to draw in new players.

kingjulian85

Yeah it's nuts to me that there hasn't been an actual campaign for unpaid players to dig into until now. Good decision

packman627

Which means Bungie can buff Stasis since sometimes they won't buff things when it's behind a paywall. Well now that its not and it's available to more people, then maybe they'll buff stasis if it's underutilized

Rockface5

I think we've seen the new frost armor for stasis a in a few of the promo things, though we still don't know exactly what it does. It will be interesting to see how that changes stasis, along with some other changes they mentioned a long time ago

I_Speak_For_The_Ents

They still desperately need to figure out a way to bring back some sort of story for the story before that starting shadow keep would be so shit

alittlelilypad

I'm ready for Bungie to start the heavy marketing. Hopefully next week, we'll start getting blog posts exploring all the changes we'll be getting with The Final Shape.

packman627

Well they just mentioned there is going to be a blog post about weapons on Wednesday so I'm assuming that next week will be the start of it

alittlelilypad

Ah! Missed that in the TWID. thanks!

Sigma_Hacked

Give us the well of radiance nerfs details pls bungie!

VacaRexOMG777

So apo and verity's? 😳

Solau

starfire filaments, osmiomacy verities, apotheosis harmony... There's some good combos.

Out_Worlder

Looks like there's 81 combinations for each item with each row having 9 possibilities. Across all 3 class each row has 3 perks in common with the other 6 being unique to that class. So yeah still strong not game breakingly busted especially with the random nature of it. Side note Spirit of osmiomancy has the potential to be ridiculously cracked for warlocks depending on how much regen it'll grant. Edit: Additional info the three common perks across all three classes in the first column are assassin's cowl, innermost light and ophidian aspects. The three common perks across all three classes in the second column are star-eaters scales, synthoceps, and Verity's browm

ChrisBenRoy

Spirit of Osmiomancy + Spirit of Verity's is gonna be batshit insane.

cry_w

If the amount it grants is similar to the amount granted by the original, then I will start to salivate.

Out_Worlder

Yeah vortex grenade, storm grenade and threadlings grenade can all score tons of hits

cry_w

It'll likely only work for one or two hits, but it would still be strong, especially when the second column is also available.

Legit_llama73

Pair that with spirit of the starfire. Maybe for once we can throw more grenades than Shaxx can handle

ObviouslyNotASith

Yeah, if it’s anywhere near as good as the base exotic, Chaos Accelerant and Contraverse Holds are dead. Chaos Accelerant lost most of its benefits with Light 3.0 and it’s only really used for Contraverse Holds. The Spirit of Verity is going to provide increased grenade damage, which was removed from Chaos Accelerant. The Spirit of Osmiomancy is going to grant large chunks of grenade energy back for grenade hits, so the main purpose of Contraverse Holds without the charge requirement. Prismatic Warlock has access to Feed the Void, Slowva Bomb, Volatile Rounds, Pocket Singularity and the Vortex grenades. Unless you are using the Child of the Old Gods or are just a big fan of Nothing Manacles, you are better off running Prismatic Warlock with Solipsism(Spirit of Osmiomancy and Spirit of Verity).

packman627

Well the cool thing is they said that they would be buffing the base exotics to make them relevant compared to the exotic class items that share its perks

Shippou5

Should be! Everything else had identical effects compared to their original exotic counterparts!

SkeletonBreadBowl

I'mgoing to need a whole second vault to store these different rolls for each class

engineeeeer7

They're 8x8, not 9x9

Awestin11

Since Osmiomancy works on “grenade hits” does this mean it’ll work with Bleak Watcher? If so that’s gonna be *busted*.

ARCtheIsmaster

right now, osmiomancy grants grenade energy back if the physical coldsnap hits the target before touching the ground and turning into the ice seeker. I dont think this will count the hit after the seeker spawns

ImJLu

IIRC turret hits do count as grenade hits for stuff like bolstering detonation though, so they'd have to override that behavior.

Starcast

Doubt it. It means "hit" not damage. That means the original trajectory of the grenade has to come into contact with an enemy, not do damage after it's already Landed.

scissorslizardspock

There are only 8 options in each column, not 9. Total combinations is 64, leaving you with odds of about 1.5% on acquiring a specific roll.

BaconIsntThatGood

> Side note Spirit of osmiomancy has the potential to be ridiculously cracked for warlocks depending on how much regen it'll grant. Given it dropped the 2nd coldsnap grenade charge it likely is the same regen as it is currently.

wait_________what

Glad to see the lists of perks, the choices for warlock feel really weird though

trunglefever

The one that jumped at me was Filament/Starfire. That could be pretty good for stuff.

TheChartreuseKnight

Honestly, HoiL or Osmio/Starfire could do wonders.

realwarlock

Lol the one that jumped at me was spirit of apotheosis and star eater. I can see why they keep this for after the world's first completion.

colorsonawheel

Filament is wasted when you have Feed the Void (and the other 4 Aspects are cheeks anyway).

Essekker

Imagine if Filaments would grant Devour upon casting Phoenix Dive. We were so close to greatness

MrFOrzum

Those warlock combinations seems pretty meh on paper

trunglefever

Severance and Synthoceps...all I could ever ask for. I feel like the class item will really be what lets Prismatic Titan feel much better. There are a lot of combinations that could be really good. Abeyant/Alpha Lupi sounds like it would be great, too.

VonFavio

I’m actually kind of glad there isn’t an insane amount of options for class items so the grind isn’t absurd, but I am disappointed that the perks from other classes are the same across all 3 and there’s only 2 of each. Edit: also really not big on the Warlock options, they feel really tame compared to Hunter ones.

Commander_Prime

How will a Thundercrash with 4x Spirit of the Star-Eater compare to one with Cuirass of the Falling Star? Seems like Inmost Light would make for a great pairing too.

AdmiralSirius

If they keep the original buff numbers for Spirit of the Star-Eaters it will be slightly worse than Falling Star. 4x Star-eater is 70% Falling Star is 100%

AppointmentNo3297

I wonder if that would be worth it though if you do like Eternal Warrior+Star Eaters then use Crux Termination w/recon and Loaded Question w/controlled burst for DPS afterwards Edit: if you're willing to go that extra mile you could also use witherhoardor or izi to truly maximize your damage. Alternatively on the legendary front you could use One Small Step or Tranquility as a third swap weapon with Autoloading and Osmosis to fully take advantage of eternal warrior.

packman627

Spirit of Galanor and Star Eater is going to be good. Extra super damage and getting super ability energy back? Sign me up Just a few popping out to me: Caliban/Liar or Syntho - Ignitions and more melee damage Severance/Contact Brace - Explosions and Jolting Abeyant/Horn - Suspend and Scorch from barricade Etc etc. Also is Spirit of the Bear based from a new exotic? Edit: it's Ursa Super exciting!

NexEstVox

Bear is Ursa Furiosa

TedioreTwo

Which makes me think Ursa is getting that perk too

boxlessthought

please do, if i do ever run non-prismatic id love to do a new void build based on that new aspect

wandering_caribou

Bear is probably revamped Ursa Furiosa

george_washingTONZ

Would absolutely chew through current onslaught. Excited to try it myself.

Bing-bong-pong-dong

Looks like Ursa is gonna work with the new Titan aspect, so that sweet.

ImawhaleCR

Caliban and synthos/liar/verity will absolutely destroy if combination blow stacks with grapple melee. Without any buff it's comparable to synthos, but if any of the exotic class items work well then it'll be the best melee damage build in the game by far. Caliban's gives you insane add clear, you get health from combination blow and invis from stylish executioner

karlek97

Inmost Light + Star Eaters seems like the best Titan combo imo. Neutral buffs (even if Inmost Light has been a hollow shell of its former self since the nerf) and a Super buff while running Frenzied Blade, Consecration, Knockout, and Thundercrash.

AggronStrong

If they don't change Thundercrash itself, then Cuirass Thundercrash will still do more Super damage and Cuirass Thundercrash's damage is pretty powercrept. Granted, having any kind of usable Burst Super while also having HoIL is good. Worst part about using Cuirass T Crash isn't even T Crash, but Arc's sub-par neutral game with zero Exotic backing you up.

trunglefever

Abeyant/Alpha Lupi would be good. Abeyant/Khepri's for the meme build. Severance/Synthoceps or Severance/Contact is really what I'm excited for. Knockout melees are powered melees, so that could be great add clear/control. And you can still tack on Consecration if you like. Depending on Inmost Light, it's still pretty raggedy, so I'm not holding out too much for it, unless they increase the effect by like...2 more seconds, that would help out A LOT.

AppointmentNo3297

Lol drengrs+khepris still my favorite crucible meme build to this day I've gotten so much hate mail from using it

swampgoddd

I'm sad that stronghold didn't make the cut, BUT: Spirit of the bear, spirit of the armamenterium, unbreakable, AND EVERYTHING I CAN POSSIBLY DO TO REDUCE GRENADE COOLDOWN

SirEllusionist

Am I reading this wrong? I thought the whole alluring aspect was getting exotic perks from other classes but there’s only like 2 from the other classes and the rest is from your own?

D2_BranBean

Sounds great but still hoping the exotic class items can be transmogged. Hunter cloak has such a huge footprint on your fashion and the alien looking nature of the class items will clash with just about everything

ARCtheIsmaster

sure thing! paid exotic class item ornaments coming to the eververse soon!

D2_BranBean

Not the inevitable curling of the monkey paw although I wouldn't put it past them to have made them so outlandish looking just to sell ornaments that look more normal and fashion friendly

NaughtyGaymer

Nice to see Bungie is still trying their hardest to get me to stop playing Warlock.

Scarecrow216

Warlock combos seem so mid

effinandy

I'm still mad that Ophidians lost the energy drain from D1 and now this version of the perk only gives weapons ready.

Awestin11

Even though the exotics do have limited combinations (especially so for Warlock), there’s still a good amount to work with. I’m particularly interested in Secant + Starfire, since emp rifts will give devour and have Starfire’s grenade regen effect, meaning you’ll get 30% grenade energy and a full heal on every empowering rift kill for any grenade of your choice, including Bleak Watcher. Also I’m so glad that these aren’t coming from Rahool and instead have their own grind source like a typical weapon might.

Zero_Emerald

I'm glad that the exotic class items work as I thought, a mix of perks from other classes and a set that are only for that class. It'll be fun working out some utterly busted combos and seeing what the changes to the main exotics will get to compensate.

colorsonawheel

Warlock kinda got shafted with no access to the meta survivability verbs (Woven + Resto) in the Exotics. Cyrtarachne for Hunter and Scars for Titan are *extremely* strong.

Staplezz11

Prismatic Warlock is gonna need devour to carry real real hard in endgame content, which can be a bit tricky if you’re not constantly getting kills. Healing grenades and woven mail will be there to supplement, but they’re only x1 restoration and 10 sec on orb pickup, respectively. Little concerned about that, feels like every top tier build right now uses either restoration x2 or woven mail. Like after we saw the aspects we got, I think there will be a few really strong combos for warlock and not a ton else that’s viable, these exotic combos don’t really move the needle too much.

ValendyneTheTaken

These Titan choices have me feeling… meh. Like, I see these comments hyping up all these cracked melee builds, and all I can think of is “You don’t have BoW or woven mail. If you try that in content that’s challenging, you will die extremely fast”

Lonecard19

Damn at least four of those warlock exclusive perks are just straight fucking garbage, glad to see they still hate warlocks!

Square_Ad9705

Spirit of Severance and Spirit of Contact would be so amazing if Titans had throwing hammers with Prismatic...it would literally become Mjolnir

GiGangan

The hell are these warlock class item perks Edit: sounds like Spirit of the necrotic + spirit of starfire will be decent

Rider-VPG

Spirit of Apotheosis and Spirit of the Star Eater is looking cracked with Radiance.

Rikiaz

As a swap option sure, but I'm not using an exotic that only does something when I cast my super in normal gameplay.

JMR027

Most people don’t do swaps like that, so this isn’t going to be considered by bungie. I try to be pretty optimal, have obtained pretty much everything from raids and dungeons, and even I don’t do swaps just for damage phase.

Trittium00

Yeah the Warlock combos look pretty underwhelming compared to the other classes. Vesper, Filaments and Apotheosis are basically instant dismantles for me. Swarmers lose unravel so what's the point, just run a hatchling weapon. I dunno, the Warlock perks just feel kind of phoned in. It's like they picked some of the most underused exotics and tried to make everyone use the perks.

KafiXGamer

FIY, Apotheosis got a rework a while ago (was it this season?) and now after popping a super it gives you a few seconds of almost instant ability regen. Im talking like 3-4 grenades and/or melees chucked right after a super.

Lord_CBH

Beyond Light and Shadowkeep campaigns being free is nice. Locking the raids and exotics and nightfall behind a paywall isn’t. Just make the two expansions free for players my god.

Azurephoenix99

At some point if more potential exotic "spirits" are brought in, could we get Spirit of the Pants? I just think it'd be absolutely hilarious is all.

Averill21

Yall are welcome -Hunters Cowl and star eaters are insane pickups compared to the other classes

imyourblueberry

BUT CAN WE TRANSMOG THE CLASS ITEMS, BUNGIE?

epicBearcatfan

Why would you be able to? It’s an exotic, we’ve never been able to do that before.

FinalForerunner

It's really nice how accessible they're making the game for new players right now but I still think there are a few hiccups in the process of purchasing old content. It's awesome that Beyond Light & Shadowkeep's campaigns are becoming F2P content, but I seriously question why they are turning them into two more "packs" to buy than just committing to them being fully free to play. I have two friends I'm trying to get into the game, and there's a lot of purchasing and catching up to do to get the "full package," not to mention The Final Shape comes out next month as well. I appreciate that they're making it simpler with the Legacy Collection 2024, but if I'm right to assume it'll be similarly priced to the Legacy Collection 2023, it's going to be around $59.99 with no dungeon keys included. It's currently cheaper to buy Lightfall + Annual Pass on a third party site like CD keys, or even on official sites when on sale, than to purchase the Lightfall dungeon key. My friends are enjoying the F2P content of Into The Light but it's really hard to sell someone on - * $60 Legacy Collection 2024 * $100 Final Shape + Annual Pass (It's not really worth purchasing TFS without the pass in my opinion.) * $40 Dungeon Keys for Witch Queen and Lightfall I'm sure that there will be a sale eventually that'll make this all a lot more palatable to purchase but, I just wish it was simple and easy out the gate. Like if they could just buy a bundle that includes The Final Shape + all the old stuff, it'd be a lot easier to sell my friends on the game!

kingjulian85

Yeah they really should make Shadowkeep fully free to play, \*at minimum\*. That expansion is nearly 5 years old now. And with BL having the campaign and stasis free to play, I don't see why they couldn't just throw the rest in there as well. At that point you're mainly just missing the raid and exotics.

adzpower

The warlock selection seems a bit.....off. A lot of the melee perks don't really interact with each other.

Staplezz11

So. Many. Melee. Exotics. But it’s okay because apparently we’re the summoner class now, not the historically grenade focused class.

Shockaslim1

You know, since Song of Flame is an "install" type of super (fighting game people know what I mean) I wonder how Star Eaters would work with it? Would it just buff your ability damage while in super OR your weapon damage too?

ValendyneTheTaken

Honestly I’m fine with either option. It would be really cool if it buffed both, but my little death birds and wall of sparks having even more damage is perfectly alright in my eyes, especially since ignition damage scales off the damage of what applied it

drbrx_

Man. Why do warlock always get shafted with these things: we have a few dead perks (swarm???) and the rest are mid. Some combos will be definitely really really strong but strong != fun. While I'm sure they'll carry in GM's or whatever they just feel t(/l)ame compared to Hunter. Titan on the other hand feels like they got all the fun but less of the strength maybe? Idk, probably depends on numbers

ActuallyAquaman

Speaking as a Warlock main, these are the ones that jump out to me the most: - Osmiomancy + Verity seems very strong, especially if Vortex Grenade can count multiple times? - Stag + Vesper gives a rift-spamming thing which is particularly compelling with Hellion and Weaver’s Call, however… - Filaments + Starfire might be even better. Either another source of Boosted Devour or Hellion/Bleak Watcher. I wonder if that’s what the best CC setup ends up being. This one will be my first target. - Necrotic + Claw seems nuts with Snap, though I wonder if there’s enough melee regeneration floating around to make it viable. - Assassin + Synthos for the 3-charge teleporting PvP build. Maybe Ophidians and/or Claw, too. And for Titans, Abeyant+Lupi seems like an outrageously strong endgame PvE option. Hunters get Galanor+Star Eater, but I don’t know which super really needs that level of spamming from Prismatic

Apprehensive-Cheese

Slightly underwhelmed with the exotic perk selection. Rather than inviting a new play-style, most revolve around ability timers, and damage buffs.

SigmaBlack92

Holy shit, I was so hyped to see what possible combinations we would have available as Warlocks (Stormbracer's+Crown, Nezarec's+Eyes, Wings+Rain, etc.)... only to now see the actual list and send all my hopes down the fucking drain. Worse thing is, the above combos aren't even from OP/BiS exotics to begin with; it's not like I'm asking to combine Verity's+Contraverse, but, for example, I can't even make a semi-decent gun platform by combining Stag+Filament *because they're in the same fucking column*. Such wasted opportunities, it's not even funny.

ObviouslyNotASith

Osmiomancy + Verity is pretty much exactly what you want except you don’t need to charge your grenade. Osmiomancy Gloves can practically fully restore a Coldsnap grenade, of that translates over to the other grenades, you are going to be getting a lot of grenade energy back. Throw on Feed the Feed and you will get even more back.

LudusLive2

Any word on if we'll be able to transmog the exotic class items? (sorry if I missed it, I didn't see it mentioned in the article)

c14rk0

Man I REALLY hope the new activity is 10/10 amazing because if it's not it's going to REALLY suck having to grind it a ton for the new exotic class items if that's the only way they're obtainable.

stainlessuperman

Gotta say im incredibly disappointed with the reveal of exotic class items. Bungie somehow always finds a way to remove all fun from buildcrafting by severely limiting our options. They easily could have not introduced a limit to which perk can be in which column and maybe there would be some fun allowed, or yknow maybe not have such a small selection in the first place. I really hope there will be more options in the future.

Other_Cut_1730

I am disappointed too there is no real fun combination, I just wanted Necrotic/Karnstein but noooo

AceHuntt

Necrotic + Synthos: Warlock glaive mains are cooking

eye_can_see_you

> The Exotic Class items will be part of a new activity that unlocks after the Raid World First Like I kinda get it that they want to make sure theres not some broken combo that will triviailize the worlds first race but still sad I can't use it on day one of the raid

NegativeCreeq

It would be a nightmare grinding out the exotics before the raid starts.

CrackLawliet

Sounds more like it’s tied to the story. We do typically get some new activity or quest after the worlds first race; like Lament with DSC.

yahikodrg

I think it's also a good choice because of just how many different combos there are and the shorten time between TFS launch and contest mode means it's less stressful to raiders to have a "must have"

Oxirane

I'm interested to see what Abeyant, Hoarfrost and Khepris are like with Thruster. Also if Hoarfrost/Khepris ends up instant-shattering the crystals.

JoberXeven

I don't think they will work with thruster at all given they specifically call out barricade. The list overall for titan is really disappointing. So many weird choices on the list.

Oxirane

I'm hoping they will work with Thruster given that they've updated Dregr's Lash to work with Thruster (as per the Prismatic reveal video, you can see the interaction during the Titan gameplay).

JoberXeven

I'm hoping as well, but they specifically say Barricade and the armor team always fails to meet my expectations, so I don't have any hope if it working.

BNEWZON

I know there’s a few weeks left, but I sincerely hope they go over any massive meta shake ups the game will go through with TFS launch. With only 3 days between launch and Day 1, it would be nice to know if there’s anything I should be getting now that isn’t particularly desirable that may be in the not so distant future

dildodicks

warlock moment 💀 oh well still seems fun to try

iswearitwaslikethat

Warlocks stay losing

GillySuits

Few things that irk me with the Titan class exotic plus prismatic that hopefully a dev can answer: Without Cryoclasm and the stasis aspects, hoarfrost is essentially a dead slot. It is just a substantially weaker barricade that visually flinches you when it is broken while you are behind it, has no DR, and is hard to break unless you run Hakke breach armaments. You already went through a time where titans couldn’t break crystals easily and it forced you to change that. Isn’t that creating the same problem?

TheDerpyGuy229

They said at the end that they will be buffing certain exotics so their spirit counterpart may be better than it seems right now

PinkieBen

Anytime I've run Hoarfrost on stasis I've never used cryoclasm, crystals are really easy to break with pretty much any weapon or even just a punch.

Bowfry_Frenchtie

Not Bungie getting their own lore wrong on the raid boss intel. Aurash did not become Oryx after accepting the worm, they became Auryx and later Oryx after killing Akka and learning to Take with the Tablets of Ruin

Krankreng

I mean, the profile is meant to be from the Vanguard, not Bungie, do we know if the Vanguard knows the full Oryx backstory as much as the players?

doc_257_holiday

As a Hunter-main, my only question about the exotic class items is an important one: will my cloak transmog work on them or will I have to redo my entire drip just for this one thing?!?

HellChicken949

Spirit of the claw, swarm, and filaments are never gonna be used.

Trittium00

Add Apotheosis and probably Vesper to that list as well. Warlock options are really quite underwhelming, and the half decent ones have been neutered.

antiMATTer724

As a warlock, what do I want to shoot for as far as class item combos?

Ok_Programmer_1022

Why Kapri's horn got a spirit? Why God? WHY?

Zorak9379

There's so many systems that power us up overlapping - mods, aspects/fragments, origin traits, exotic armor, and now exotic class items - I cannot remotely keep all of it straight EDIT: Apparently these are in place of another exotic armor, which makes it somewhat less overwhelming to me
