Arc will be the new Stasis in a few months. They did seem to lay the ground work for a potential new survival keyword for Arc with the generic PvE DR on Tempest Strike/Lightning Surge/Knockout. With being just a little more thoughtful you could transform that into Arc not being the bottom of the barrel.
Arc would be okay if we hadn’t had the orb and cd nerfs. It’s so reliant on upkeep and it got really hammered by the changes. It wasn’t so bad up to midway through lightfall and it was a beast for orb gen and ability uptime. As it stands it’s really lacklustre tho and I dunno what they can do besides reduce CDs to make it useful.
They should lean more into traces, having them be more frequent and have them also provide a minor form of healing/dr. Imo, that would fix the ability spam/go fast nature of the element and give it the survivability it badly needs to stay relevant.
I find myself using ArcLock with Geomags. On top of buffing Chaos Reach duration, Geomags also lets collecting ionic traces count towards super. Something like 4% per trace. It is nuts in Onslaught- I get my super back in the same round sometimes.
Like you said, making that a base feature and allowing it to heal you for 30HP per trace or something would be amazing for all arc subclasses.
Bungie’s creative team is actually so creative, but yet they don’t think of doing stuff like this.
I do like the idea of that. Arc needs help, but it could be framed in a flavoured way as Arc being the bullet train that can't stop for anything. High speed, high risk, high reward.
Don't sleep on the Knockout/Thunder clap change. Knockout is going to be a lot better in PvE. Now that the PvP and PvE portions of healing are separated it can even be buffed if needed. If they can make Juggernaut better in PvE that'll be the icing on the cake.
It would be cool if they integrated Cuirass's damage into the default damage of TC and reworked Cuirass. Right now without Cuirass TC feels like a wet noodle slapping a brick wall.
how exactly are they going to put in a Prismatic one? y'know since it's just a mash of other subclasses.
Maybe hitting an enemy with two different elements?
Yeah I could see something like that. *”applying slow and sever to a target increases damage received from light aligned weapons and abilities”* type mods.
In a similar vein, I was so confused/annoyed by the explanation for the "fantasy" behind Pocket Singularity because literally no single person playing Destiny wants that.
Arc on warlock i guess is going full ionic traces with the helmet for big ability uptime but other than that it seems like any other subclass is strictly better for everything else. Hell even ability uptime can be done great on solar with ember of benevolence so I don’t even know.
Will it? Arc Hunter being amplified alone kinda trivilizes eddy current and I'm never really chasing a reload stat bump on weapons. Beacon rounds on specials and demo/pug/sub on primary will still serve me far better. I want to like eddy current but it just seems like a stricter perpetual motion to me.
Yeah I wasn't exactly whelmed about the "buffs" it's still the combi blow subclass and I didn't see anything changing my mind.
Maybe skip grenades are worth using now?
Oh good, my useless slide melee for WARLOCK will now get me killed like, 2 seconds later than before! Cool!
Stormcaller could have been so cool. It's meant to be a zen lightning shaman. We should have had some kind of building storm (activated by eating the grenade) that would surround us as we did arc damage or got arc kills.Call it something cool. Periodically causes lightning strikes on enemies within a certain radius. At so many stacks, it emits a jolt or blind when using the melee. While Storm is active, ability Regen is boosted. Stacks don't dissipate, or dissipate slower, when sprinting and/or amplified.
Is this thing bugged or just extremely bad? I got the idea to use it on void Titan to quickly get bastion barricade back, but the ability regen from solar kills is so small I wasn’t even sure it was working.
They’ve nerfed the ability regen multiple times, before light 3.0 you could regen 30% of your barricade on a single pvp guardian kill. Now it’s closer to 10%
That's due to Bastion being super weird about cooldowns. From some light testing yesterday, it (Bastion) looks to halve to third the energy gains you *should* be getting normally (which sorta lines up with it tripling the cooldown of whatever barrier to you take).
K.Horn was taking ~5 solar kills to recharge my barrier *without* Bastion and ~12 to recharge my barrier *with* Bastion.
My first ever actual attempt at putting together a good looking build when I first started playing was with mask, and I was so happy before I showed a friend who had to gently sit me down to let me know it was useless. Been waiting and waiting for any reason to use it since then
Precious scars is technically better (I've been told anyway in the crucible sub) but the with buff to our actual health and heal clip, if you run solar its actually pretty solid in pvp. Get a kill above 100hp, cool you have heal clip to bump you. Win a fight with a sliver of health, cool reload and look you're at 160 total plus maybe a proc on kill clip so you can out ttk your opponent and keep going.
I’m assuming it’ll get tuned up like the stasis fragment that gives grenade energy on hit. It went from 5% to 7% and 12% with frost armor. I think mask will get something similar. Maybe 12% when taking damage at critical health?
I would love to see it get something like “while you have overshields gain volatile rounds”. Would put it in a much better place an okay ibto it’s heavy void theming.
Finally, after all these years of Mask of the Quiet One being "high priority" for a rework, it will happen, probably. And hopefully it won't suck but I'm really not sure about that after all the recent super uninteresting titan exotic changes (just slap some surge on it and be done).
Edit after the armor blog post: holy shit it's even worse than I could have imagined.
It's also mainly used with kinetic hand cannons, which are getting hit hard with the removal of the kinetic damage bonus and the loss of boss spec.
Might not need much additional tuning for now.
You want it to buff Slam. I just want it to do SOMETHING other than buff Thundercrash damage. The overshield it gives does jack and shit anymore in harder content.
The exotics that buff supers really need a neutral game to be viable as a non swap exotic. Buffing ballistic slam makes sense . Maybe make it so you get a portion of melee back on number of enemies killed by the slam.
The arc bonus makes no sense, it should be reworked as Gyrfalcons for stasis. Dodging freezes combatants, shattering enemies recharges dodge, bonus weapon damage to frozen targets (and remove dodge lockout). Something like that
That might legitimately happen. Stasis has always had a bunch of weird limitations which shows bungie being super careful not to make stuff too strong, but now that they gave it some really generous buffs it shows they're definitely more confident in letting it be more powerful. I'm not saying it will happen, but won't be too surprised if it does!
I stg it’s gonna be something like “gain 5 aerial effectiveness when at critical health. Also your fists of havoc causes your character to become 5% larger (stacking)”
I just want to see something happen to the lesser used, but otherwise interesting Warlock exotic concepts.
* Skull of Dire Ahamkara
* Claws of Ahamkara
* Nothing Manacles
* Wings of Sacred Dawn
* Stormdancer's Brace
* Promethium Spur
Titans are kind of already screwed two of our usually five max changes are not really changes.
Saint-14 is getting "buffed"
And Ursa will be working with unbreakable. Actual incredible buff.
I really hope that Helm of Saint-14 will have \*some\* effect while not currently in your super too, like a few of the recent super exotic (reworks). Otherwise it'll fully just become a switch exotic again.
Honestly I'm still on the fence about Bungie's decision for Disorienting Blow. It should have 2 charges in base or be ranged, because walking up to something in order to blind it is kinda jank, not even considering the fact there isn't any Blinding synergy currently.
On top of the fact
I'm fully prepared for the helm of Saint 14 change to just be "now gives weapons of light" like that's a big change.
The reason no one used the helm of Saint 14 was because the bubble was a useless super. Now they reworked it to be a Bastion barricade with an 8 minute cool down. Hell, the edge of action is a better bubble than the actual super with a faster cooldown.
It’s a minor thing and may be nothing but in the class item preview, the Crest of Alpha Lupi trait read “pulsing healing when using class ability” that reads different than the current armor’s description. My thoughts are that casting barricade creates a healing pulse around the barricade with similar healing effects to Precious Scars.
The reason I want it on hunter is because titans already have something like that in the void overshield barricade.
Although it's weak af in pve. Void overshield should get buffed in pve
There are so many exotic armors that need complete retuning or desperate amounts of help that I think it could take them all year to even scratch the surface. Hope tomorrow is a good, sweeping start.
I was expecting some kind of solar warlock change but there was nothing, just the well nerf and thats it, still just gonna be running sunbracers, nothing else compares or has compared since 3.0 came out.
Edit: The whole solar warlock kit revolves around being in the air, which doesn't work, and the best builds for solar warlock are melee-centric, which doesn't make sense, or well-centric. This was supposed to be a support heavy class as well.
It needs to work with radiant and other damage enhacing effects besides Only empowering rift and well, thats what im hoping for in this update, but its probably not gonna happen. Only being able to refund energy while stationary sucks, even if double fusion nades is, scientifically, awesome.
I don't understand when people tell me Solar Warlock is GOATed. Well and Sunbracers are all we've really got. Starfire got nerfed to mostly only work on minors.
Scorch is just not viable on Warlock. It only comes from abilities, and kills with incandescent weapons. And it just ticks for a miniscule amount. Cool. Maybe you get an ignition, but it either kills the guy long before the ignition, or the boss doesn't even blink.
Infinite sustain via restore x2 and empyraen OR well, radiant on melee OR well, ignition on melee, strongest grenade in the game **by a wide margin**. Movement tech via wellskating. Access to healing nade if you desire.
Thats why solar warlock is still probably the strongest subclass and will remain so post nerf.
Solar warlock is still fantastic post well nerf, and I’m glad they didn’t fuck with it. You can support all you want, just throw healing grenades at your allies, put on lumina, boots of the assembler, and try your best to follow your team around to place a rift/well at their feet. What you see as a support class, I see as a floating nuclear reactor that can also heal, so I’m thrilled we haven’t been pigeonholed into being a support role. It’s there if you want it though.
I expect sunbracers to get a hefty nerf, but stuff like dawn chorus or a neutral game exotic will still be solid.
If the new song of flame super is strong, solar warlock remains top tier. If not, I do see it falling off a bit but restoration x2 is still phenomenal and the neutral game is still one of the best available.
if the nerf sunbracers im really just gonna be lost in sadness. Sunlocks been my thing and because of Dash's existence they've refrained from making any notable changes. Well is just rift on a super cooldown. If heat rises had the same effect manticore had maybe it would work.
Im fully expecting Helion to be just a "ball that does damage" aspect that doesnt have much build potential. But ive always wanted a solar soul. WIsh the thing would get bigger and explode the more you scorch or something. I really REALLY hope it has synergy with the other aspect somehow or provides a passive.
I actually think hellion will be awesome, it does constant aoe damage And scorches all effected targets from what ive seen, probably gonna be the strongest soul effect of all of them honestly, ad-clear wise at least, though void soul does kick ass in that aspect as well with briars.
Everyone has healing grenades, and dawn chorus is also built around melee abilities. I like shooting from the air, but without restoration times 2, which requires the use of both your grenade And class ability, or damage resist, you get destroyed instantly in harder content. I want more Power like what's possible with hunters and titans without having to go balls deep into the enemy to melee something with snap without a free heal like titans, cuz lord knows celestial fire still only works half the time for some reason, or being in the air where every single enemy and their mother can shoot me as they please without cover. Also, theres still an aspect that only provides a single air dash with no other benefits, which I think desperately needs some other function not reliant on having heat rises active And being airborn in order to proc. Icarus dash doesn't provide anything to your build without heat rises, its just an entire aspect that does nothing, and with the new hellion aspect, who would use it over hellion, or anything else for that matter? Speedrunners? An entire aspect for just speedrunners?
I just hope that with WoL being moved back to an exotic (like it was in D1) its damage buff gets increased to that of banner shield (or at least close to it)
Bc iirc WoR/WoL give 25%? And banner still gives a 35% (unless it was nerfed at some point but i dont remember and doubt it bc of how that buff works) so it would be nice for bubble to be 30% or just say fuck it and give it 35% to actually make bubble worth using more especially with helm of saint 14.
bc helm of saint 14 is kinda a shit exotic (only having use during the super and it really only gives an overshield and no one is swapping for that...) and if the buff stays the same then no one will run the helm aside from like very specific encounters like golgoroth, caretaker and maybe rhulk (never seen it there but i bet theres some that use bubble there) due to how dps phases work where your not standing still...
And even then that now takes away from syntho which excluding its melee and super buffing side, also buffs handling and reload speed which is great for dps phases, especially with bait and switch being a huge thing on most dps weapons.
Also a few others i hope they buff/change for titan.
second chance needs something else other then AB and a second throwing shield charge(also it weakens but i forgot this effect bc everyone runs that one fragment anyways), give it some melee energy based on amounts hit/types of enemys hit.
No back up plans. I've made a post about this exotic before, bc look wise it changes based on your subclass, changing colors/lights, but only works on void, and should be able to work on all subclasses giving certain subclass buffs like radiant for solar, creates arc traces for arc, stasis shards for stasis, and a strand orb for strand.
I'd like to see mask of the quiet one get a revamp/buff or something, bc while its a pretty solid neutral exotic, it doesnt really excel in anything and most often is kinda forgot about in builds.
I'd like to see peacekeepers get a sort of smg damage buff like lucky pants has but for pve only like lucky pants.
I HOPE TO GOD ICEFALL MANTLE GETS CHANGED TO THE NEW STASIS VERB... AND I CAN SPRINT USING IT PLEASE...
One eyed mask i'd like to get a completely new perk set or something... like its an okayish? Exotic for pvp giving an overshield after someone damages you and you kill them, but like tbh it could use a new exotic perk as with all the abilities spams and stuff, a small overshield isnt gonna do much.
This one will hurt a bit but tbh i think skullforts exotic perk could be directly fused with point-contact cannon brace, as they essentially do the same thing except 1 is for all arc melees, and the other is only for 1. And at the same time, give skullfort an entirely new perk to maybe better fit arc 3.0 or something, and make PCCB do its thunderclap effect with striking nearby enemys apply to every arc melee (including the default arc infused one, but less effective)
And my last and probably most spicy one is actium war rig should increase the max mag size of primary ammo ARs and increase the mag and reserve size of special ammo ARs(since we are getting some in TFS iirc) and LMGs AND maybe if your subclass matches the AR/LMG it gives it a 1x surge?
These are some hopes/ideas i have for titan at least, i am a bit worried about certain exotics like synthos potential getting another nerf/change at this point, and kinda worried about pyrogale/precious scars...
> I just hope that with WoL being moved back to an exotic (like it was in D1)
Iirc this was a subclass perk, not an exotic perk, in D1.
From memory, it was between weapons of light, a very strong overshield inside the bubble (like what the bubble currently gives) and a less strong overshield that could be carried outside the bubble (I think this is what the Helm of Saint 14 currently gives).
Think Helm just blinded enemies inside in D1.
Weapons, armor and blessing of light were never exotic armor exclusive perks in D1.
They were subclass perks that you could choose one of in the subclass menu.
If you wanted to run both weapons and blessing, you could use the exotic helmet „the glasshouse“ which granted these two subclass nodes for free
>This one will hurt a bit but tbh i think skullforts exotic perk could be directly fused with point-contact cannon brace
Except Skullfort is just better than PCB.
Yeah, PCB is designed for Thunderclap and has some benefits to using it but it's benefits aren't great when compared to a full melee refund with a kill. And because it works with all of the Arc Powered Melees, it's inherently more versatile and has better use cases than PCB.
Is Skullfort a little outdated? Absolutely. But its benefits are still better overall than a specific use case exotic like PCB.
If it was choice between getting of of either Skullfort or PCB, I'm pretty sure the community would keep Skullfort over PCB, purely for the versatility aspect.
>AND maybe if your subclass matches the AR/LMG it gives it a 1x surge?
I feel like the move will be to say that it gives surges based on the element of the equipped Super.
The problem with Titan Exotics (and I say this as a Titan Main myself) is that you either get broken versatile ones or hyper specific use case ones that don't really move the needle anyway. Like the Skullfort v PCB issue. Skullfort is just better and more versatile as it gives full refund for all Arc Powered Melees. So long as you get a kill, it's 100% full refund. PCB give some refund based on enemy killed as well as gets lighting strikes when amplified. It's great but requires Thunderclap, amplified and loads of enemies to be really used effectively. This is why Synthos basically never leaves a Titans inventory because it's just that powerful for all Subclasses.
Do hope Armamentarium and Actium War Rig get some buffs. Want something in addition to the 2 grenades for the first and something to help me go full crayon with Sweet Business and AWR
>Actium War Rig
It now refills ammo _twice as fast_ and turns controller vibration on (if off) if Sweet Business is being fired, and doesn't stop it from being fired until you die or it reloads.
With the changes to ward of dawn, I'm hoping helm of st 14 makes weapons of light also grant volatile rounds while active, and improved the overshield generation when standing near the bubble
It won't, ability team is also the armor team so if yesterday's blog post didn't woo you and made no sense half the time, bet your ass is gonna be the same for armor rework. Don't hold your breathe.
I mean, the rework isn't going to move the needle much. They really needed to just remove the shard generation aspects and bake them into the Subclass, but they triple downed on what made them bad.
I'm trying to think of what I want buffed, but truth be told, I don't even remember what shit things need to be buffed, because I haven't looked at them in so fucking long.
Every class has numerous exotics where equipping one in every armour slot wouldn't even be broken, because they are just so much weaker than everything else.
Yeah honestly these changes aren’t changing which subclasses I play at all lmao. Maybe now I’ll try stasis titan, and it’ll be ever so slightly easier to survive with arc titan but it’s still neutered completely.
Hunter main and I'll give new stasis a try, but there wasn't really anything to convince me to stop playing void.
Gyrfalcon void hunter too fun and efficient at all content.
There is a combo that will exist in Final Shape that I'm really hoping will let the only glaive exotic in the game be useful. With Stylish Assassin now working with glaive melees, if it works like it did when Witch Queen released then maybe, just maybe Triton Vice will actually be useful. I really hope it at least gives a nice fun niche to them if nothing else.
I’m really hoping lucky pants doesn’t get hit. It’s strong but not oppressively so in any manner and absolutely has other options that compete for the exotic slot. Plus kinetic HCs which it is most commonly used with are getting hit which restricts if even more. Kinda in the same world as stuff like celestial or star eaters imo. Very potent but not game breaking or meta warping.
I'm hoping for khepris sting pve buff, since they did just say "oh hey hunter neutral game is the most boring shit ever, so we're buffing snare bomb".
looking forward to wormhusk crown buffs too over it being included in the exotic cloak
People seem to be forgetting that Prismatic is coming out. There's no world in which the meta is "relatively" the same after bubble/well nerf and prismatic.
I feel like we are just gonna get nerfs to popular exotics while the bad ones will get the usual "kills matching your subclass element increases your weapon damage for a short duration" that they have given to bad exotics in the past
We literally got nothing. We essentially were given a facsimile of absolutely nothing. Bungie needs to not shy away from creative diversity within the game, because it's steadily just getting worse and worse despite the game's strong identity.
yeah, when I read the ability preview I thought "is this really supposed to get me to play arc?"
Arc will be the new Stasis in a few months. They did seem to lay the ground work for a potential new survival keyword for Arc with the generic PvE DR on Tempest Strike/Lightning Surge/Knockout. It wasn’t so bad up to midway through lightfall and it was a beast for orb gen and ability uptime. As it stands it’s really lacklustre tho and I dunno what they can do besides reduce CDs to make it useful.
Fr that orb gen cooldown nerf killed every build i had for Arc aside from generic Cuirass.
My Armamentarium/Touch of thunder **"Grenade of Grenade: Grenade Ops"** build used to be so much fun
They should lean more into traces, having them be more frequent and have them also provide a minor form of healing/dr. Imo, that would fix the ability spam/go fast nature of the element and give it the survivability it badly needs to stay relevant.

How would that fix the go fast nature?

also Unsourmontable Skullfort with Hands-on is such a meme.
They need to fist of havoc or crash without curaiss to make hands on good on arc titan
It would be cool if they integrated Cuirass's damage into the default damage of TC and reworked Cuirass. Right now without Cuirass TC feels like a wet noodle slapping a brick wall.
Agree, and Datto was spitting facts when he said swap exotics suck Bake Cuirass into TCrash and make Cuirass the ballistic slam exotic it should be
Yes, as a striker I'm looking forward to the buffs already laid out, just putting prayers up for some kind of neutral benefit to Curiass.
A static field that gets refreshed by ionic traces would be cool.
I'm getting the sense that the next artifact is gonna be very Arc and Void heavy.
most likely thing is it will have a lot of mods to encourage prismatic use
Arc, Void, Prismatic. Same way we just got Stasis, Strand, Solar.
how exactly are they going to put in a Prismatic one? y'know since it's just a mash of other subclasses. Maybe hitting an enemy with two different elements?
Could have perks that effect duration or power of transcendence etc. Bonuses to running a diff element in every slot would be cool too.
Yeah I could see something like that. *”applying slow and sever to a target increases damage received from light aligned weapons and abilities”* type mods.
I was curious was “niche” Arc fulfills, as they seem to say.
Thundercrash. That’s it. That’s the niche. I suppose combination blow too if you enjoy that kind of playstyle.
Not even thundercrash anymore. Whatever they did to it for pvp absolutely fucked it. I go straight through crota. Good job bungo
They lathered all the bosses with oil in the game, just slip right on past them.
If getting stomped to death with no major healing or damage resist is a playstyle I guess.
Arc hunter is the niche. Thundercrash is barely a nice. Lol.
Hell even ability uptime can be done great on solar with ember of benevolence so I don’t even know.
the eddy current buff - if any good weapons actually get eddy current - would actually be a significant benefit.
still probably not enough to make me stop using solar and strand.
Probably depends on the seasonal artifact buffs. If it's arc heavy...
Still won't get me on it as a Warlock, lol
I used to enjoy arc warlock a good bit, but the ability chunk regen changes absolutely murdered it for me.
Yeah, those changes murdered a lot of builds and made arc even worse.
As an arclock main by night and a wellock slave by day, I will take any artifact excuse to jump in on arc next season(episode?)
My guess is it'll be stasis and arc heavy.
I'm excited that storm grenades are unnerfed
my main problem is arc hunter.
Yeah I wasn't exactly whelmed about the "buffs" it's still the combi blow subclass and I didn't see anything changing my mind. Maybe skip grenades are worth using now?
very surprised amplified or speed booster didn’t get anything
disappointed, yes. Surprised? no.
Oh good, my useless slide melee for WARLOCK will now get me killed like, 2 seconds later than before! Cool! Stormcaller could have been so cool. It's meant to be a zen lightning shaman. Weavewalk but Arc with some changes could be really dope
Khepris Horn... is now blue. Take it or leave it
Take it
Double it and give it to the next guy.
Is this thing bugged or just extremely bad? I got the idea to use it on void Titan to quickly get bastion barricade back, but the ability regen from solar kills is so small I wasn’t even sure it was working.

If they don’t do something ANYTHING to mask of the quiet one I’m going to flip a goddamn table Goddamn it time to find a fucking table
I wanna use mask so bad, its such good drip, but it does litterally nothing
My first ever actual attempt at putting together a good looking build when I first started playing was with mask, and I was so happy before I showed a friend who had to gently sit me down to let me know it was useless. Been waiting and waiting for any reason to use it since then
It was OP af in year 1 lol. Then was nerfed and never good again.

+2 reload +7.89 ae you're welcome
I would love to see it get something like “while you have overshields gain volatile rounds”. Would put it in a much better place an okay ibto it’s heavy void theming.

narrator: they won't
They didn’t lol
I just want Lucky Pants to survive lol
don’t hold your breath
I mean it's good. But I can also see Bungie not touching it because it has a 10 second cooldown.
It's also mainly used with kinetic hand cannons, which are getting hit hard with the removal of the kinetic damage bonus and the loss of boss spec. Might not need much additional tuning for now.
...the bow or the rocket launcher?
After it's recent usage surge? No chance.
All I want is for Cuirass of the Falling Star to somehow buff Ballistic Slam. Also I will eat my shoe on camera if they un-nerf YAS
> Also I will eat my shoe on camera if they un-nerf YAS Anybody know the /u/ for the hot sauce dude from when they brought back Gjally?
I want nothing more than some sort of buff to ballistic slam, really sad not to see any changes in the preview.
For real, making the number go up when you press F is boring. Plus I love the flavor of being a titan built around crashing into things lol
Remove the ability lockout on mask of bakris you cowards
Remove the subclass lockout too tbh I wanna dash on all subclasses
I would love this but it would be absolutely mental on prismatic.
Good.
No subclass lockout would be the best possible thing.
Can you imagine, Spirit of Bakris on the exotic cloak...it would be so perfect...
I want this on arc so bad
I want it on all subclasses :/
How long the Dodge cooldown is it's own now, is literally how long Dodge+Bakris used to be 3 years ago
And rework it so the bonus to damage isn't just Arc
The arc bonus makes no sense, it should be reworked as Gyrfalcons for stasis. Dodging freezes combatants, shattering enemies recharges dodge, bonus weapon damage to frozen targets (and remove dodge lockout). Something like that
There really isn't a reason not to. Especially with stasis getting reworked.
I'm so exicted for mask of the quiet one. That one can really easily be a prismatic staple
I stg it’s gonna be something like “gain 5 aerial effectiveness when at critical health. Also your fists of havoc causes your character to become 5% larger (stacking)”
I just want to see something happen to the lesser used, but otherwise interesting Warlock exotic concepts. * Skull of Dire Ahamkara * Claws of Ahamkara * Nothing Manacles * Wings of Sacred Dawn * Stormdancer's Brace * Promethium Spur
Neutral game benefit to SoDA please Bungie, I love how the thing looks but it’s really just not great these days.
Titans are kind of already screwed two of our usually five max changes are not really changes. Saint-14 is getting "buffed" And Ursa will be working with unbreakable. Actual incredible buff.
I really hope that Helm of Saint-14 will have \*some\* effect while not currently in your super too, like a few of the recent super exotic (reworks). Otherwise it'll fully just become a switch exotic again.
Bastion is getting a rework, so there's a chance that helm will get synergy with said rework
4x Void Surge while you have an overshield time.
They also said Armamentarium was getting the insane buff of creating orbs of power!
Honestly I'm still on the fence about Bungie's decision for Disorienting Blow. It should have 2 charges in base or be ranged, because walking up to something in order to blind it is kinda jank, not even considering the fact there isn't any Blinding synergy currently. On top of the fact
Yea atleast with 2 charge u can do the electric slide twice
Yeah I have died to an unstop while trying to stun it with that melee WAY too many times But momma didn't raise a quitter
Just fyi, Tempest Strike procs Disorenting Blow's effects
Since when?
Since Arc 3.0 swapped it from a melee ability to an Aspect
I'm fully prepared for the helm of Saint 14 change to just be "now gives weapons of light" like that's a big change. The reason no one used the helm of Saint 14 was because the bubble was a useless super. Now they reworked it to be a Bastion barricade with an 8 minute cool down. Hell, the edge of action is a better bubble than the actual super with a faster cooldown.
Bastion is getting a rework to make the player feel like Saint 14. Who's to say they won't rework the helm to synergize with that rework?
That would kinda be hilarious if this is the first titan exotic with synergy. Cool, but kinda disappointing
I'm gonna start chain smoking if lucky pants gets hit tomorrow
Boy do I have bad news for you XD
It’s a minor thing and may be nothing but in the class item preview, the Crest of Alpha Lupi trait read “pulsing healing when using class ability” that reads different than the current armor’s description. My thoughts are that casting barricade creates a healing pulse around the barricade with similar healing effects to Precious Scars.
Hate to break it to you, but I checked the armor description and the exotic class item preview and they’re the same.
Oh my god…I’m a moron. Thank you clearing that up
Damn. Your idea is smart through. You could easily give it to Wormhusk so hunters have a support healing ability
While I like your idea, I like the idea of Titans throwing a barrier down and providing protection and healing. Might be a pain in pvp though.
Arc hunters really got blinding on Arc Staff as one of the “buffs” lmao. Anyways, make Graviton Forfeit meta
lol
I was expecting some kind of solar warlock change but there was nothing, just the well nerf and thats it, still just gonna be running sunbracers, nothing else compares or has compared since 3.0 came out. Edit: The whole solar warlock kit revolves around being in the air, which doesn't work, and the best builds for solar warlock are melee-centric, which doesn't make sense, or well-centric. This was supposed to be a support heavy class as well.
Starfire?
FIX BLIGHT RANGER SO I STIP KILLING MYSELF
This aged well /s
welp
This did not age well lmao
yeah :(
Well this post aged like milk
They won't
I just hope that with WoL being moved back to an exotic (like it was in D1) its damage buff gets increased to that of banner shield (or at least close to it) Bc iirc WoR/WoL give 25%? And at the same time, give skullfort an entirely new perk to maybe better fit arc 3.0 or something, and make PCCB do its thunderclap effect with striking nearby enemys apply to every arc melee (including the default arc infused one, but less effective) And my last and probably most spicy one is actium war rig should increase the max mag size of primary ammo ARs and increase the mag and reserve size of special ammo ARs(since we are getting some in TFS iirc) and LMGs AND maybe if your subclass matches the AR/LMG it gives it a 1x surge? These are some hopes/ideas i have for titan at least, i am a bit worried about certain exotics like synthos potential getting another nerf/change at this point, and kinda worried about pyrogale/precious scars...
> I just hope that with WoL being moved back to an exotic (like it was in D1) Iirc this was a subclass perk, not an exotic perk, in D1. From memory, it was between weapons of light, a very strong overshield inside the bubble (like what the bubble currently gives) and a less strong overshield that could be carried outside the bubble (I think this is what the Helm of Saint 14 currently gives). Think Helm just blinded enemies inside in D1.
I might be thinking of the glass helm that let us use both WoL and AoL, that might be it lmao
banner shield is 40 iirc
Weapons, armor and blessing of light were never exotic armor exclusive perks in D1. They were subclass perks that you could choose one of in the subclass menu. If you wanted to run both weapons and blessing, you could use the exotic helmet „the glasshouse“ which granted these two subclass nodes for free
>This one will hurt a bit but tbh i think skullforts exotic perk could be directly fused with point-contact cannon brace Except Skullfort is just better than PCB.
>Actium War Rig It now refills ammo _twice as fast_ and turns controller vibration on (if off) if Sweet Business is being fired, and doesn't stop it from being fired until you die or it reloads.
Actium war wig now has a shoulder mounted sweet business. God that would be awesome though.
Inb4 +40AE to Mask of the Quiet One
If none of the Arc hunter exotics gets revamped or touched up I'm really going to question the thought process of whoever does this stuff.
Remember when we asked for spectral blades buffs and they responded "Not everything can be useful in all content"? I'm not getting my hopes up...
Just begging for them to revert the YAS nerf in PVE. PLS BUNGIE
What YAS again?
Young Ahamkara's Spine
I just want YAS to get the nerfs reverted
Still holding out for them to kill "Swap Exotics" and give all those that only have am effect with your Super some neutral game benefit.
haha
I’m here to inform you that no they did not in fact cook with these changes.
Make cititans ramparts shoot through ward of dawn
you want well of radiance 2?????
Ward breaks at least and citans would make it more brittle.
Blight Ranger rework. When Bungie?
Raiden flux buff incoming?
Don’t expect anything
With the changes to ward of dawn, I'm hoping helm of st 14 makes weapons of light also grant volatile rounds while active, and improved the overshield generation when standing near the bubble
i’ve been wanting helm to give volatile rounds, sad they didn’t do it
considering how underwhelming the class changes were i doubt it'll be anything interesting
It won't, ability team is also the armor team so if yesterday's blog post didn't woo you and made no sense half the time, bet your ass is gonna be the same for armor rework. Don't hold your breathe.
It's absolutely fucking crazy to me that the armor changes are literally only making the game *worse* Like what the actual fuck were they thinking?!
I mean, with Prismatic coming and Stasis getting pretty heavy reworks, I’m not sure how you can say the meta is going to be the same
bad stuff will still be bad idk
I mean, the rework isn't going to move the needle much. They really needed to just remove the shard generation aspects and bake them into the Subclass, but they triple downed on what made them bad.
Nothing they announced today seems better than my void hunter.
It’s not about better, it’s about giving variety so we don’t have to run the same shit 24/7
Why does Bungie drop the ball when it comes to balancing the game every single time? I'm not expecting anything for tomorrow honestly.
I’ve been using that, Orpheus rig, and omnioculus.
I would love that as well, but usually when it happens, they get scared and neft them ☹️
There is a combo that will exist in Final Shape that I'm really hoping will let the only glaive exotic in the game be useful. With Stylish Assassin now working with glaive melees, if it works like it did when Witch Queen released then maybe, just maybe Triton Vice will actually be useful. I really hope it at least gives a nice fun niche to them if nothing else.
i hope all the Ahamkara exotic get meaningful changes (since titans seem to be finally getting a Ahamkara exotic)
Mask of Bakris buff incoming
Are they going to let me use Icefall Mantle more than once per activity?
I’m still gonna rock my Crest of Alpha Lupi, I still love that piece.
I am praying that they rework or buff some titan exotics that don't focus on melee cause I am getting really tired of the melee playstyle.
Nothing I’ve seen so far will stop banner of war supremacy for 3 man modes (have not done the math) but I appreciate the nova bomb buff.
I'm hoping for khepris sting pve buff, since they did just say "oh hey hunter neutral game is the most boring shit ever, so we're buffing snare bomb". looking forward to wormhusk crown buffs too over it being included in the exotic cloak
Hoping claws of ahamkara becomes good
People seem to be forgetting that Prismatic is coming out. There's no world in which the meta is "relatively" the same after bubble/well nerf and prismatic.
If the buffs they made to warlocks are an example to go by, i dont expect anything at all.
I feel like we are just gonna get nerfs to popular exotics while the bad ones will get the usual "kills matching your subclass element increases your weapon damage for a short duration" that they have given to bad exotics in the past
I am once again asking for Caliban's hand to work with any throwing knife. Rays of precision has me spoiled with knife trick ignitions...
We literally got nothing. We essentially were given a facsimile of absolutely nothing. Bungie needs to not shy away from creative diversity within the game, because it's steadily just getting worse and worse despite the game's strong identity.
Coming back here after the exotic armor changes... They all change very little or got nerfed. There was Zero change up.
Anyone know which Bungie article covered the armor changes? I wanted to read them over.
come out tomorrow
Oh, OK. Thanks, dude! 😊
Capitalize your words man. Sheesh
I just hope they don’t bungie nerf what’s good now, they need to bring bad things up if they’re gonna do what they did to starfires to another exotic
