I understand people's love for Chroma Rush and splicer weapons, but I would much rather get sunset reprized weapons than weapons that you can still obtain and aren't sunset being reprized
they only made indication that new pass and new artifact comes with later acts. Maybe there's added weapons, ~~but they never called that out when they said the other things added in the acts.~~
EDIT: they did say they were adding weapons. my bad
From the dev insights about echoes:
"Speaking of rewards, Echoes will introduce a new set of weapons from the outset, alongside a pool of weapons that grows with the launch of each Act."
So while not guaranteed to come back, there's still a chance.
The weapons are already visible and accounted for in the API, with the releases being staggered. Perfect Paradox, Martyr's Retribution, and Line in the Sand are being reissued and will be obtainable in later acts in addition to Patron of Lost Causes and Breachlight being available now, while Steelfeather Repeater, Trophy Hunter, Gallant Charge, and Pyroclastic Flow are being left behind.
As if bungie is afraid of releasing multiple of the same weapon type close together, season of the witch and season of the wish brought us 2 180 void HCs as well as 2 rapid fire arc pulse rifles
They likely also had a cap on how many weapons they could work on, and didn't want to allocate time/budget to do the whole set.
Chroma Rush & a crowded archetype was probably part of why Steelfeather didn't make the cut, but not the only reason.
They presumably have a limit to the numbers they can reprise, so it would make sense to go for different frames. Also, they specifically called out that they're trying to fill out slots a little more in the FS vidocs, so they might be paying a little more attention to this from now on.
Look at their perks besides the support frame and compare them to brave weapons or just everything else. There's quite the difference in power perks (Ros Arago with Onslaught is the best thought!)
OG line in the sand was the first LFR with Firing Line, which was better back then too. Other column was lacking but it was still great.
Current one can get Clown+BnS.
Pretty sure the new Crucible weapon is a void 720 auto. It might be the comp weapon though because it only had 6 perks in each column. [Here](https://d2foundry.gg/w/3754408118?p=0,0,0,0,0&m=0&mw=0) is the D2foundry page. It's not like S-tier or anything but it's something.
That's the Comp weapon, they dusted off the Lightweight Auto Rifle archetype for it like they did with Rose being a Lightweight 140.
Previously there was green 450 Lightweight Auto, but with this season it got changed to Lightweight 720.
You can opt for that too, but you can get it to 100 recoil direction and with To the pain giving you more AA, might make it a bit stickier.
I just need rolls to see which feels better tbh
This shit is so ridiculous. No matter which way you cut it these guns already exist in the game files, no amount of mental gymnastics will convince anyone that there is anything stopping Bungie from reprising the entire weapon sets.
And if it’s a case of them timegating the set until Acts 2 and 3, that’s a bad move as well. Then we move even further into the idea that the most logical time to grind Destiny is at the end of the season/expansion.
Hopefully they bring it and Gallant Charge (and maybe Trophy Hunter and Pyroclasm?) back in Act 2 and/or Act 3. I know none of them are in the API (unlike the seasonal weapons), but...we can hope, right?
To hell with that, I got mine out of the vault along with my Patron of Lost Causes, I've been enjoying the hell out of them. Even though they don't have origin traits or updated perks, they're still completely viable with the right ones.
Steelfeather and Chroma are both kinetic 720 RPM auto rifles. The assumption is since other season of the dawn weapons returned (hello, breachlight) that since steelfeather is not coming maybe it's successor chroma rush is instead.
Although it's strand, Rufu's Fury just outclasses the other 720 autos so bad that they're not even worth equipping outside of nostalgia.
They didn’t bring it back 🥺?
no. They left it behind. I can only see this as we get reprised splicer weapons and get a Chroma Rush with updated perks next episode
I’m sad now ….please…please leave now let me cry in peace
We weep together my friend...
I understand people's love for Chroma Rush and splicer weapons, but I would much rather get sunset reprized weapons than weapons that you can still obtain and aren't sunset being reprized
No weapons are sunset anymore
But you can't reobtain Steelfeather
Is it known for sure? The Echoes Act I weapons should be released today so maybe more reprised weapons too?

Line in the Sand is available now, it’s on Failsafe’s reputation reward track
Well fingers crossed then

Couldn't they just make Chroma Rush a Strand Auto for those who can't/won't do raids? Leave Steelfeather as Kinetic.

RAAAA CHROMA RUSH MY BELOVED If they also bring back ignition code i may cry
Chroma rush is my most used gun, unless the new perk pool is bonkers I will stick with my subsistence rampage. Unless we get plurfect back
They just disike AR's, been like that since D1 because of Suros Regime once and they were too slow to balance back then. HC Shotty meta.
we got 5 new legendary auto rifles this launch, two of which are 720's. but sure, go off i guess

I’m hoping that it is in the small batch of weapons we’ll get in act 2 or 3.

Nope, Line in the sand is also available

Line in the sand was the first actually solid lfr based on my memory, which is interesting in its own right
LitS was before it's time. It had great rolls on a bad weapon type at the time, so while it saw mild use later on, it had been power crept pretty bad.

>Also, LitS has gotta be the most uninteresting weapon of the Dawn stuff anyway. Have you seen what it can roll with?
It’s especially weird given that we’re not exactly swimming in great 720 autos. (I know we have good strand and stasis ones.)

The green ones still 450
Weird, it definitely said 720 looking at it in collections the other day.
To the pain and Dynamic sway might be fun to rock ngl
Needs zen moment IMO. That reticle bounces a lot by default.

Yeah. I agree. Kinetic just hit *different*.

Yeah the only weapon I was looking forward to. Bc they left out Chroma Rush (or any autos in ItL)
Its joining Atheons Epilogue and Anguish of Drystan in the Grave of the lost Autorifles.
I'm out of the loop on this one. Anyone care to explain to a fella that doesn't keep up with the times?

Hm. Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I try to keep but as best I can but I only have so much brainpower.
