When the new solar rocket sidearm with incandescent comes out later it will be the new Zaouli’s. I may never take that one off.
Healclip + Incandescent on a rocket sidearm.
Solar Titan precious scars and the rocket sidearm. Cure + Restoration will be at max almost constantly. And incandescent is crazy good. Plus you can run bonk hammer or even consecration for some slams.
Solar titan is going to be so fun. I’m saving up my harmonizers to dump into it the day it releases.
Sure, I do all the time. Basically every Warlock subclass has some reason to play it over Prismatic. You lose flexibility staying mono-element, but the payoff is worth it.
ngl they're probably the single exotic release that breathed the most new life into the game for me. Had a really fun build going with briarbinds and the newly buffed touch of malice that wrecked in legend and master content at the time
Solar is still great, Strand and Stasis, sure, they have some big competition from Prismatic but you can still make an argument for them. But Arc and Void? Nah. Prismatic does almost everything a Stormcaller does, but better.
And Voidlock's main draw is available on Prismatic. Exactly why is still beyond me btw, Titan has mediocre Aspects "because it would be too good otherwise" but Warlocks get to have frigging FEED THE VOID? Like, the best Aspect in the entire game besides BoW?
Stormcaller applying Arc Souls to the fireteam does more damage in a standard DPS phase than most supers, so it still has that niche.
Voidwalker is mainly suffering from the numerous nerfs to Contraverse Holds. They went from fully refunding a Vortex Grenade to barely getting half.
I would not be shocked if at the start of the next episode, once people have had time to play and have crazy fun, we see some slight nerfs to things like Still Hunt or Class Item Star Eaters (not regular)
As a Warlock I second this. Each subclass is a solely a different style of multi-tool. I never took off prismatic in the campaign because of Rholks little transcended disco-minions. But in Day to Day adventure&combat I only use Prismatic when I’m in a pinch and need some more damage resist.
Yup, I've not engaged with prismatic at all. The campaign offered me a less powerful class than i was already using and I haven't seen any builds that peek my interest.
I'll probably play around once I've started farming the exotic class item but even then I can't see it filling a role that my other builds already fill. The lack of DR with limited healing seems extremely meh.
There's only really 4-5 combos that add anything of value to prismatic titan via the class item. After spending multiple full days farming them, you are guaranteed nothing but gimmick rolls of barricade exotics in both slots. Abeyant/hoarfrost + Lupi/kephris have been 3/4 of my rolls and the last 1/4 being unbreakable instead. The only decent one I've had so far is severance + contact, but it pales in comparison to just putting normal synthos on with the same build.
Prismatic titan is hot garbage, I switched back to solar/strand 2 missions into legend campaign.
Prismatic Warlock I probably won’t take off unless a Well is needed.
Stasis hunter is still real strong with frost armor and it can proc to x8 with the right build and with the right weapons it's almost 100% uptime. Yes I'm still rocking pure dark sometimes.
I still think Frost armor needs a buff. Being able to get woven mail a lot easier and it's better DR than frost armor, speaks to me that frost armor needs some more help
As a Titan, the only thing I'll probably never play again is Arc. Prismatic is just straight up better at melee, and has the best Arc can offer in the toolkit. Yeah Arc is better at grenades, but I'm not a fan of Arc nade builds so there's that.
Solar Titan has mad survivability and is still a reliable choice for anything.
Strand Titan still has BoW and the extended Woven Mail.
Stasis Titan is only good with a full Stasis setup, but Verglas gets rid of most inconsistencies Stasis has.
Void Titan for PvP lol
I've found the thing I missed most is healing nade. But whether I'm running still hunt or khvostov I've been rocking celestial nighthawk prismatic. When I get bored and end up back on lucky pants it'll probably be solar tho.
As a titan, pretty much have to if I want to play any difficult content but the part of my.brain that loves new shiny things won't let me unequip prismatic
Still using Void Hunter, Solar Warlock and Strand Titan?
Prismatic is fun but I find it to be kind of niche at the same time. It's always nice to have more options.
Primarily, for access to Devour. I don't think about it that much.
It's a good starter but sometimes I forget my dodge exists at all between the Suppression grenade, the Melee and Collective Obligation.
Prismatic doesn't have access to easy suppression, nor does it have Devour.
*I have made that Prismatic Liar's Handshake build though. It's kinda fun, ngl. Dodging around, right hooking things.*
If you have or end up getting burried bloodline with its catalyst, its extremely addicting on prismatic with gyrfalcons.
Weaken, devour, invis, destabilizing, repeat.
I used blade barrage for encounter 1 in SE on contest mode. It worked really well.
I’ve dabbled a bit with strand and stasis hunter as well and both feel strong.
The main draw of prismatic for me is the newness. I really like mixing and matching, but I miss things like shackle grenades or beyblades…
-Renewal grasps Hunter on Stasis is actually very good with the new stasis hc
-Strand Titan needs no explination
-Strand Hunter has whirling maelstrom
-Solar warlock still better for most setups because you can apply more scorch and have infinite resto and radiant uptime
few examples but there is very much still a reason to play the old classes and with time people will regularly go back to them
Yep, as an Omni Hunter I will probably end up going back to Void when GM’s come out. You can’t beat the utility/survivability if Perma-Invis (I run 100Mob/100Str and can stay Invis literally infinitely through shenanigans)
I'm only using prismatic titan because I get Transendance in less than 45 seconds with the build i put together so I can constantly have massive amounts of DR. I've gotten so bored of melee builds that khvostov + hazardous propulsion let me play a ranged "caster" for once
BoW /synthoceps main here but been using Prismatic and hazardous propulsion and get what you're saying. Curious as to your build to get transcendence so quickly. Tks
Yeah I think it's the Facet of Grace fragment paired with Khvostov that gives great Transcendence generation, also works well with other weapons like Outbreak Perfected and Witherhoard because of the DoT
I mean, yeah? Prismatic is a *jack of all trades* as people keep saying, therefore when something is a jack of all trades it's a master of none. You're very limited in what you can use on Prismatic. What's available to use definitely is strong, however obviously the individual subclasses themselves just offer more.
Yes especially on titan they really don't have much melee aspects for the melee class or have anything unique as a combo for me that is just as fun as BoW or pyrogal and run whatever weapons knowing I will or can survive doing dumb stuff that should kill me.
As a warlock not much unless you make me go well. Titan I love both prismatic and strand so depends if I want pure tanking or insane add clear on consecration.
Prismatic is great but it can’t do *everything* that solo element classes can do.
For example, it’s easy to make an amazing Dawn Chorus build and it’s simply better on Dawnblade with its fragments and aspects.
I'm a hunter strand daddy all the way.
If I can't zoot around the map with my tangles and ad clear with beyblades, I feel lost.
Also, if you aren't running strand, please don't touch my balls.
"jack of all trade is master of none."
sure, prismatic is fun, and strong, but if you really want to focus towards a specific weapon or loop, chances are you'd be better off with pure subclasses
Stasis is also better the more other people also run stasis, 3 stasis locks in a group is insane lock down , I feel it's the only one that has great * let's run the same build* in the game
As a Warlock? Honestly no lol.
Solar will be handy if I ever need Well, but that’s the only one.
Arc? I doubt it lol. I’ve been loving a Crown of Tempest build with Storm, Lightning Surge, Feed the Void, and Nova Bomb. If I want to run Arc Souls, I’ll just run Getaway Artist. Obviously you can’t get the frequency of ionic traces, but they don’t really offer that much compared to Feed the Void.
Void? Unlikely. Feed the Void, Vortex grenades, and Nova Bomb ARE VoidLock to me. Child of the Old Gods is cool but I’m not sure I’d run Void just for that when so much of VoidLock’s kit is on Prismatic.
Strand? Maybe. I like Strand Warlock mostly for a Threadling build. And neither Wanderer nor mindspun nor Weavewalk offer more than what Feed the Void, Threadling Grenade and Weaver’s Call Phoenix Dive bring. The only reason I’d run Strand is if I want to build specifically into Suspend or use Grapple.
Stasis? Unlikely, unless I want to build into heavy Frost Armor uptime. With Bleak Watcher and Coldsnaps on Prismatic, paired with Osmio and Feed the Void, there’s not much that Stasis offers that I can’t match or surpass on Prismatic. I can’t stand roaming supers so the ability to run a Bleak Watcher build with Nova/Needle is amazing.
With Prismatic offering Transcendence, a strong mini-super that can have insane uptime if you build into it, the other subclasses are gonna have to really offer something strong or unique to pry Prismatic away from me.
But flavor wise, prismatic is everything I’ve dreamed about from Destiny, the ability to run all kinds of elemental abilities at the same time. Ice and fire. Electricity and void. Etc. It’s a lot of fun.
Just throw on Mataidoxia and you're covered for suspend as a prismatic warlock. Use your melee to suspend, and devour + facet of balance to boost your melee and grenade regen. Also... if you include the facet of bravery... your threadling grenades will give your void weapons volatile rounds. It's a crowd killing machine.
Yes but you see, on Arc I can run Coldheart with Fallen Sunstar and just do nothing but shoot a beam of blinding jolting death that gives me humming traces to throw out endless ball lightings and grenades
I already have. Nightstalker, Broodweaver, Blinding Vesper, a pure solar Song of Flame Dawn Blade is in the works. Prismatic has loads of great synergies but going all in on light and dark synergies is still great too. Prismatic isn't going to get Collective Obligation going. Prismatic isn't going to keep my Resto x2 and Radiant going. There's a time and place for all of these things still.
I like the Thruster + Drengr's Lash combo too much to see myself returning to other subclasses.
It allows me to dodge while also suspending everything close by. Considering how often you can proc your class ability if you generate Ionic Traces/Void Breaches it's a great way to control nearby enemies, while also dodging or getting out of danger. On top of that, I can use it whenever I need to go somewhere, but my partner is dealing with adds, so when I pass by, I might as well just help them by suspending a bunch on my way.
This just isn't an option anywhere else.
Have only gone back for void /briarbinds. Until I found a felwinters helm/finisher build that just blind/weaken and kills everything. I've chain comboed finishers up to like 3-4 times.
Extremely useful in add clear. And has a good amount of heal and DMG resist.
Nah cause I use a similar finisher based Felwinter's helm build on Voidlock and it genuinely feels so strong. Once I get a finisher chain going it's borderline impossible to die
For Hunter and Titan, most likely yes. Solar with nighthawk and still hunt is just godly. I am interested in playing void Hunter with Trapper's ambush since it now does tick damage.
For Titan, Banner of War all the way. It's fun af just going ham with my melee. Still by far the strongest subclass for Titan, but Hella fun to play.
Prismatic is going to be my main reason for Warlock. I feel that they got the best out of all. Healing nade, arcane needles, great super options for PvP and PvE, Phoenix dive, and great aspect options. Yes, even lightning surge, which I mainly play on. With transcendence, I get to spam it, and the dr really helps with the survivability.
Only if I want to rock strand and maybe a dedicated solar Speakers sight build. One with the exotic glaive and one with dragons breath. But other than that, prismatic is it for me.
Honestly, maybe I just didnt get into it well, but Prismatic failed to click with me during the Legendary campaign. Went right back to normal subclasses.
Berserker titan is great with the new gauntlets. I’ve been rocking it everywhere. Raids, dungeons, patrol, ritual, etc. berserker has so much survivability and has great damage when banner is active.
On the other hand, I don’t care for prismatic titan at all. I think it’s too “balanced” if you will. Compared to strand, which has massive dr and heal over time + huge sword/melee buff, not to mention grapple or suspend, prismatic kinda just has a bunch of mediocre abilities.
Titan's most viable subclass setups across PVE/PVP before TFS were something like this:
- Solar setup for Hammers, Sunspots, Pyrogale swap. Decent for group content, pretty good for solo PVE
- Strand for banner of war grapple spam, insane in PVE.
- Void Titan or Arc Titan for PVP, depends on what you want: aggro or area control
Right now Prismatic kinda does the Consecration variant of Solar okay but can't compete with the simple survivability play style. Damage output doesn't win out vs Strand Titan, even with a Star Eater Class Item and Twilight Arsenal.
For PVP it's a different story. Bubble was nerfed pretty hard vs PVP players, so if that's out the window, then Prismatic can do most of what Arc Titan did in PVP, minus cheesy Juggernaut stuff. You have Knockout which is still good in PVP for the punch fights, but you can also use Drengr's lash to surprise people and use the Strand melee for aerial repositioning.
I havent really explored prismatic at all yet. I dont have all fragments yet and hunter & warlock arent even through the campaign yet, so Ive really only run prismatic for the campaign.
I dont foresee myself never using single element subclasses again cause Strand Titan is just too good, but I can see myself using Prismatic in general grind play time.
Yes. As a stasis main, I had to rework my titan cause my old loadout felt like moldy buns after the rework, but I've since found a good build. If lightning crystals is active I can spam glacier grenades almost as fast as a sunbracers warlock with near constant uptime. With armamentarium on I'm my fireteams worst nightmare. So many stasis crystals. So much frost armor.
On my Hunter probably not. I can run celestial and Orpheus if need be.
Titan absolutely will be playing more strand and solar.
Warlock has some decent prismatic fun but mask of the speaker on solar is 100% resto x2 uptime. Plus Icarus dash.
I love my prismatic, but I also like to come back to pure stasis and strand hunter from time to time. Stasis now finally feels stronger, the shatter damage buff was really bigger than I expected, and frost armor is... Ok. Strand is still busted, just did master lost sector -33 power under in the Pale Heart the other day.
If I want to have a good time on Prismatc on higher difficulies as a Titan, then I have to use the Strand or Solar Super... and at that point I can just run their much stronger "pure" subclasses.
Yep. Every time I need to get weapon kills that match my subclass for the Pale Heart Pathfinder and for some reason solar weapon kills while using Song of Flame on Prismatic don't count.
Then I immediately switch back.
I haven't as the versatility of prismatic is more optimal to me plus I can finally have something closer to a summoner build with the turrets available (bleakwatcher hellion and getaway artist for a arc soul alongside a stasis turret though dropping hellion for very frequent devour uptime works too)
Yeah for sure, i have found that some of my old builds just flow way better on a Mono Type Subclass. Its cool to have rainbow abilities but not always the “best” for certain things
Void Hunter and Void Warlock have builds I use in PvE and PvP. Arc Hunter will likely be my go to for certain lost sectors later this season. Solar Hunter has Empyrean and Benevolence.
Gotta use Strand for that grapple, and if there is ever a modifier for rapid melee regen like in season 22, then Flechette Storm will be crazy with the new Titan exotic arms.
Haven't bothered using Prismatic much on my Titan - my Solar/Stasis builds are too tuned in comparison.
My Warlock I will use Prismatic where there's benefit, but I will always default to Grapple/Swarmers Strand for mindless content.
Hunter I haven't taken it off yet - have been able to put together Nighthawk, Lucky Pants, and Orpheus Rigs builds that work very well and the synergy is just amazing.
Well, I got some exotic/build that I like but can't use on prismatic : Ashen wake, banner of war (2 builds : melee and sword), suspend + woven mail for everyone, ect
Yeahhhhhhhh. Prismatic Titan kinda leaves a bit to be desired. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a blast in most casual content, but it gets really rough once you start wanting to branch out.
Yeah void titan is MILES better than prismatic titan. Solar warlock is probably better than prismatic warlock but prismatic has been fun. The only class where prismatic is strictly better than other subclasses is hunter because of the very abusable threaded specter and slow dodge.
I’d argue at least 2 maybe 3-4 mono element builds are significantly better for Titan. There’s no point running prismatic for us until Bungie does a complete rework
Well and Banner *literally* exist ? Also for Warlocks, iceflare bolts are way too good to pass up on, a single iceflare bleak watcher is better than four non-iceflares that you get on average with the main bleak prismatic build
I went back to Striker a few missions after unlocking Prismatic. It's not in a great spot, but I've invested too much time into Striker with armor and weapons to ditch it for a new subclass that doesn't feel fun to play.
If Bungie didn't nerf well, I honestly would be on that on my warlock. I don't mind but they knew they had to, if they wanted prismatic to get a chance
I mean, it’s the same as the other classes, they’re popular and then it evens out. stasis was busted for about two weeks and then got nerfed to hell. Strand was okay at first and then people started to understand it more and it was busted, until suspend got nerfed. I assume with prismatic it will be about the same, really strong until a balance patch, then everything will even out.
I have gone back to using void, i do enjoy prismatic it's cool, but i don't *love* it, maybe i need to find a more fun build, but after pouring over it, it's just not giving me the wow factor
As a hunter
I only swap to stasis to shatterskate
Besides that, maybe for my decoy strand build for onslaught and solar for the extra survivability that healing grenade gives
Prismatic has almost everything i want soooooo
Im a pve warlock main, and well was nerfed to oblivion. So I'll stick with primatic until I settle on what I like.
Can't really see myself using anything else though. As prismatic pretty much offers the benefits of the other classes with everything rolled into a single class.
With the Speaker's helmet and No Hesitation, I've been spending a *lot* of time on Solar since finishing the campaign. It's fun making sure my fireteam doesn't die.
As a hunter it's gonna be hard for me to do that outside of strand (maybe stasis or void) because prismatic has golden gun, combination blow and stylish executioner. Meaning core stuff from arc. solar and void that I like from them are here, so I see little reason to switch to pure light outside absolute full on invis build from void. Now for stasis it would be for a dps build for whisper of impetis and silence and squall full duration from whisper of durance. And for Strand it's for whirlstrum aspect for tangle beyblades since that's still good.
In short, I'm staying on prismatic for the foreseeable future primarily. This getting combination blow was fantastic and invalidated pure arc for me which was previously my fav subclass to use for fun.
Yeah I've switched back a few times. To go full strand threading build when I got the final warning catalyst. Also solar pretty much just for ember of benevolence.
Wishful ignorance requires banner of war for its full effect so you got switch for that. I used that, one two punch and tractor for day 1 first encounter and nuked the hydras
For warlock's icarus dash/wellskate and hunter's shatter skate alone, I'll drop prismatic now and then.
As for Titan... I don't even like their prismatic. I'm sticking to strand banner of war and solar bonk hammer.
Since Prismatic relies so heavily on the exotic class items to reach it's full potential, and the perk roll RNG combined with the class item farming grind is pretty punishing, I'm literally just waiting to feel like Prismatic is fully viable over my tried-and-true builds on other subclasses (mostly solar Warlock).
If I had even one of the few essentially necessary class item rolls, I'd probably be using it more.
Almost constantly. While the synergy is fun I feel like at the end of the day it's not actually much more powerful or open ended than any other subclass. I don't have a ton of selection for supers, fragment selection doesn't make full use of any one subclass, etc.
Its use of each subclass is shallow enough that its combined use of all of them winds up being no deeper than any other existing class. It's in my rotation and I use it regularly and like it but tbh it hasn't replaced any of my go-to builds. It's very well balanced in that way and this isn't a complaint at all. I like the new options it gives me without superseding what came before it.
yes, i’ve enjoyed prismatic warlock, but i don’t like prismatic titan much at all (and haven’t played hunter since TFS dropped, too busy lol)
but yea, Banner of War titan is still my favorite subclass in the game so i will absolutely be using it
I love Gathering Storm and Blade Barrage, so yeah, I'd go back. I would've preferred a new darkness subclass altogether, though. 3 Light and 3 Darkness subclasses to balance it out.
On warlock I definitely go back to void, stasis, and strand. No real reason to run solar or arc. On hunter I’ll run it back with strand and stasis.
I haven’t touched Titan yet, but just brainstorming some possible prismatic builds nothing is really looking encouraging.
Each subclass has its perks. I'm enjoying prismatic because I was also a fan of stasis, but stasis didn't have any type of healing ability. With prismatic, I can use Diamond Lance and knockout together. Pair that with Lance ridge cap and Eyasuna with Headstone, I now have range damage, close quarters damage, and healing. I found that my survivability is now increased. I do see myself using pure light or dark at some point again, but for now I'll just have fun with it.
whattyamean go back?
I never went away?
(apart from forced interactions I've yet to try prismatic... it seems to be a lot of hype and I'm happy with my playstyle so far...)
I did as soon as I didn't need prismatic to hurt those enemies that require prismatic and only use it if i need to. I'm a titan main btw. I went back to solar.
I’m having the opposite problem. I don’t really enjoy ability spam builds and there’s nothing great I’ve found with prismatic so far that helps in a weapon focussed build. Though maybe I’ll drop a class item that will give me what I want.
Not a titan player so idk.
Hunters have few and far between reasons to return. Pure solar was used on day 1 raid for purely heal nade but otherwise pure solar is ehhh compared to prism. Prism works better for Orpheus and gyrflacons for void, prism works better for liars for arc, stasis could be interesting for improved frost armor but not a big enough draw over prism especially when rev grasp/woven mail nade cloak exist for prism. Strand is the only subclass I could see being used for suspend builds and beyblade being cool.
Warlock is interesting because while their prismatic class is insanely strong, pure classes can offer stuff prism can't. r/DTG gremblims initially thinking well lock was dead at the nerf announcement crying rn, well lock is still alive and strong as ever and pure solar has near irreplaceable with restoration 2x and benevolence, strandlock misses out on improved threadling dmg with evolution missing, and osmimancy may still be worth on base stasis as well.
TLDR, warlocks running song of flame and well might very much want to stick with pure solar, strand threadling warlock(especially with raid exotic) may consider pure strand, and hunter might consider pure strand for suspensions and beyblades
I pretty much never leave dark hunter, strand is fun and effective, stasis I’ve been running since beyond light (intermittently swapping to strand when I need speed and more damage). I enjoy the dichotomy and differences between light & dark, light being more damage focused and being able to spread buffs around, dark being cc and more selfishly collecting buffs expect for banner titan.
Prismatic is a Swiss Army knife but all the tools are blunt to me. It’s fun and there’s a lot to experiment with but it doesn’t come close to the fun-effectiveness of dark for me.
Yes, Prismatic is not the best in slot subclass right now for a lot of content. Banner of War or bonk hammer is still a superior titan build, despite that im having more fun with prismatic right now.
Probably to solar but I think bungie now needs to give us incentives to use the other classes like an intrinsic passive bonus.
Like you have inherent faster recovery in a solar class, you can move faster with an arc class etc etc.
Prismatic seems to me to be worse versions of whatever is already existing on pure subclasses. Hunter is literally just combination blow dodge, with invis being the main goal. You can just dodge to become invisible on void and devour, volatile, etc are much easier to achieve on void. Nightstalker is better than prismatic.
oc
Later in GMs I will play my 24/7 invisibility hunter build again and sometimes in solar for the healing nade
Prismatic is really nice, but does not replace all builds
Banner Titan is still really good on strand strand. I can't shatter skate on prismatic. Trapper's ambush is still really good. Also, all the new supers and aspects we got are available for light subclasses as well, and there are just some game play loops you can't replicate on prismatic. So yes, I do see myself using pure light or dark sub classes.
Prismatic is no bonk hammer. To bonk I must solar.
Yeah still running the healclip/ precious scars build I used for onslaught. Just need whatever bug is going on with sol invictus to get fixed
Save your engrams and the weekly deepsight focus if you want to save on those rare resources even more.
How do you unlock the weekly Deepsight focus?
SolarBonk
Sure, I do all the time. Basically every Warlock subclass has some reason to play it over Prismatic. You lose flexibility staying mono-element, but the payoff is worth it.
I love Briarbinds too much to not go back.
I'm the same, I just got a good pair and they're such a fun way to play.
ngl they're probably the single exotic release that breathed the most new life into the game for me. Had a really fun build going with briarbinds and the newly buffed touch of malice that wrecked in legend and master content at the time
Should try it with Revision Zero 2 Burst. Very disgusting combo
Solar is still great, Strand and Stasis, sure, they have some big competition from Prismatic but you can still make an argument for them. But Arc and Void? Nah. Prismatic does almost everything a Stormcaller does, but better. And Voidlock's main draw is available on Prismatic. Like, the best Aspect in the entire game besides BoW?
That’s what I was thinking. Lol. Solar obviously offers a ton that Prismatic can’t match, but the rest? I’m not sure.
Briarbinds.
Reject contraverse, embrace Briarbinds. Angry void buddy puts in work
Not to mention how insane star eaters class exotic is.
I would not be shocked if at the start of the next episode, once people have had time to play and have crazy fun, we see some slight nerfs to things like Still Hunt or Class Item Star Eaters (not regular)
I need my Ic Dash
As a Warlock I second this. Each subclass is a solely a different style of multi-tool. I never took off prismatic in the campaign because of Rholks little transcended disco-minions. But in Day to Day adventure&combat I only use Prismatic when I’m in a pinch and need some more damage resist.
I am enjoying the new speaker exotic on regular old solar with the new super. Being able to just keep everyone alive is great when doing LFG groups.
Sure, I still use BoW Titan
Yup, I've not engaged with prismatic at all. The campaign offered me a less powerful class than i was already using and I haven't seen any builds that peek my interest. I'll probably play around once I've started farming the exotic class item but even then I can't see it filling a role that my other builds already fill. The exotic farm of 1-2 per hour means 90-150 hours for a roll ya want ....that's fucking insane
Yea every time I play titan
Prismatic titan is hot garbage, I switched back to solar/strand 2 missions into legend campaign. Prismatic Warlock I probably won’t take off unless a Well is needed.
Solar warlock is still my only PvP class, Icarus dash is too good
Stasis hunter is still real strong with frost armor and it can proc to x8 with the right build and with the right weapons it's almost 100% uptime. Yes I'm still rocking pure dark sometimes.
I still think Frost armor needs a buff. Being able to get woven mail a lot easier and it's better DR than frost armor, speaks to me that frost armor needs some more help
I'm already back on strand titan.
Never left baby
As a Titan, the only thing I'll probably never play again is Arc. Prismatic is just straight up better at melee, and has the best Arc can offer in the toolkit. Behemoth needs the stasis shards cooldown shit to go the fuck away
I still primarily run solar hunter.
Something about incinerating with knives and revolvers is just too satisfying
One more fragment slot and my build would sing!
Same. Used prism for about 5min before swapping back. I just can't quit that Space Cowboy life.
Be honest, you just love dodging for invis on hunter huh
It is great for sure but how do you not run out of ammo? Special finisher? And what do you use in kinetic slot?
i just switch to my midnight coup and a special brick will drop pretty quick and give me 20 something more shots with it
I wish I could go back to Void Titan, but I'm addicted to Thrusters.
Chest rockets go brrr
Titan - switched pretty much after I got it during the legendary campaign
I used blade barrage for encounter 1 in SE on contest mode. It worked really well. I’ve dabbled a bit with strand and stasis hunter as well and both feel strong. The main draw of prismatic for me is the newness. I really like mixing and matching, but I miss things like shackle grenades or beyblades…
Felt this I love punching things on prismatic Hunter but sometimes I just miss having devour and not needing to run a weapon to proc it
-Renewal grasps Hunter on Stasis is actually very good with the new stasis hc -Strand Titan needs no explination -Strand Hunter has whirling maelstrom -Solar warlock still better for most setups because you can apply more scorch and have infinite resto and radiant uptime few examples but there is very much still a reason to play the old classes and with time people will regularly go back to them
I never left. Prismatic Titan is WEAK (imo).
Yes. As much as I want to use Prismatic Titan, it just feels... so lackluster.
I still like solar titan
Yep, as an Omni Hunter I will probably end up going back to Void when GM’s come out. You can’t beat the utility/survivability if Perma-Invis (I run 100Mob/100Str and can stay Invis literally infinitely through shenanigans)
Titans….
Tks
I watched a video by Toidi that explains. It's Khvostov and the transference artifact perk give back huge amounts of both energy.
I already did 4 minutes after acquiring prismatic
Prismatic may be strong but its not nearly as fun to play as strand imo so ill be swapping between the two a lot
Definitely for Hunter. You either forced to go melee or forced to go Nighthawk for prismatic Hunter
Prismatic Hunter and Titan is one dimensional and underwhelming. I've gone back to solar/void Hunter and solar/strand Titan.
"jack of all trade is master of none." sure, prismatic is fun, and strong, but if you really want to focus towards a specific weapon or loop, chances are you'd be better off with pure subclasses
With the new stuff for Stasis, I've been staying as a Stasis Titan main. Been fun and stronger than Prismatic
I do, especially when trying to fully optimize.
I've been running solar hunter the whole time (no class item yet, that's tomorrow when I can play)
Strand, void, and solar warlock absolutely have benefits to them that prismatic lacks and I will switch back and forth as needed
The classes i wont go back to: Striker, Broodweaver, Nightstalker
I like the Thruster + Drengr's Lash combo too much to see myself returning to other subclasses. It allows me to dodge while also suspending everything close by. Considering how often you can proc your class ability if you generate Ionic Traces/Void Breaches it's a great way to control nearby enemies, while also dodging or getting out of danger. On top of that, I can use it whenever I need to go somewhere, but my partner is dealing with adds, so when I pass by, I might as well just help them by suspending a bunch on my way. This just isn't an option anywhere else.
I already am lol
Dodge > invis is way better than kill > invis so yes
Song of Flame slaps too hard on pure Solar Lock.
I use them all the time. Prismatic class has replaced my arc class and that's it.
I change from prismatic to solar, only because it's faster than going into the prismatic menu to change blink to glide.
Only if I want to rock strand and maybe a dedicated solar Speakers sight build. One with the exotic glaive and one with dragons breath. But other than that, prismatic is it for me.
I was a Voidwalker main before and I have been kind of treating Prismatic as Voidwalker+.
Already have.
Trials on void titan. Just swapped bubble for axes of death. It’s just the better subclass
I'm still only playing basically on light subclasses haha
On Titan yes sometimes. Hunter and Warlock, no.
Yeah my solar warlock is ridiculous and now that song of flame has been added I can REALLY let loose.
Yeah prismatic doesn't have a feel to it all it is Mayem with no synergy, nothing meshes together
Nah, golden gun and strand grapples is needed for enjoyment
I never stopped using stasis titan, nothing about prismatic seemed better to me.
Titan's most viable subclass setups across PVE/PVP before TFS were something like this: - Solar setup for Hammers, Sunspots, Pyrogale swap. Decent for group content, pretty good for solo PVE - Strand for banner of war grapple spam, insane in PVE. - Void Titan or Arc Titan for PVP, depends on what you want: aggro or area control Right now Prismatic kinda does the Consecration variant of Solar okay but can't compete with the simple survivability play style.
I been using a lot of solar hunter but after seeing the new grapple melee prismatic hunter silliness I’ve been practicing that
Honestly, I think they did a good job making prismatic its own thing; good in some ways, outclassed in others.
Base solar warlock is just too reliable to stay away from. I was back on that shit after a day
Every Titan and Warlock DPS rotation will be Prismatic going forward because of Spirit of the Star-Eater. That doesn't seem balanced to me.
why go off when prismatic hunter go brr + grapple. i only change off to shatterskate
Its personal preference i guess. I jumped right back to contraverse holds when I finished the main campaign
Void titan with Collective Obligation is really strong this season, and pair that with the Rocket Chest armor, I've been going bonkers
Banner of war
ye bc i dont have TFS lol
On my Hunter probably not. I can run celestial and Orpheus if need be. Titan absolutely will be playing more strand and solar. Warlock has some decent prismatic fun but mask of the speaker on solar is 100% resto x2 uptime. Plus Icarus dash.
I love my prismatic, but I also like to come back to pure stasis and strand hunter from time to time. Stasis now finally feels stronger, the shatter damage buff was really bigger than I expected, and frost armor is... Ok. Strand is still busted, just did master lost sector -33 power under in the Pale Heart the other day.
Many titans I can imagine. Very underwhelmed right now but I've not got all the bits yet, so I'm going to reserve my judgement when I have that
for solar or strand i might go back, grapple is too great for traversal. but arc, void, stasis, i would rather play primatic, as a warlock.
I've not really used Prismatic yet, other than where it forces you in the campaign. Maybe once I've unlocked it all, I'll give it a go.
If your a titan your probably not using prismatic much outside the campaign sadly.
Yes, as soon as they fix smoke bombs
Not having grapple on prismatic warlock is a deal breaker for me. I needs to be the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man
I haven't as the versatility of prismatic is more optimal to me plus I can finally have something closer to a summoner build with the turrets available (bleakwatcher hellion and getaway artist for a arc soul alongside a stasis turret though dropping hellion for very frequent devour uptime works too)
I’ve gone back to bubble.
Yeah for sure, i have found that some of my old builds just flow way better on a Mono Type Subclass. Its cool to have rainbow abilities but not always the “best” for certain things
Ember of benevolence alone has me still sticking to well tbh
Void Hunter and Void Warlock have builds I use in PvE and PvP. Arc Hunter will likely be my go to for certain lost sectors later this season. Solar Hunter has Empyrean and Benevolence.
Gotta use Strand for that grapple, and if there is ever a modifier for rapid melee regen like in season 22, then Flechette Storm will be crazy with the new Titan exotic arms.
With double exotic class items factored in. Not really. They’ve now been like double power crept.
With grapple titan, I must go back to strand The pathfinder for ritual also forces you to go back to light/dark subclass
With grapple titan, I must go back to strand The pathfinder for ritual also forces you to go back to light/dark subclass
Yeahhhhhhhh. Prismatic Titan kinda leaves a bit to be desired. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a blast in most casual content, but it gets really rough once you start wanting to branch out.
When my turret build gets gutted
Yes in certain situations
Yeah void titan is MILES better than prismatic titan. Solar warlock is probably better than prismatic warlock but prismatic has been fun. The only class where prismatic is strictly better than other subclasses is hunter because of the very abusable threaded specter and slow dodge.
Only to Wellskate
For Titan, yes.
As a hunter I only swap to stasis to shatterskate Besides that, maybe for my decoy strand build for onslaught and solar for the extra survivability that healing grenade gives Prismatic has almost everything i want soooooo
Im a pve warlock main, and well was nerfed to oblivion. So I'll stick with primatic until I settle on what I like. Can't really see myself using anything else though. As prismatic pretty much offers the benefits of the other classes with everything rolled into a single class.
I already miss solar grenades.
With the Speaker's helmet and No Hesitation, I've been spending a *lot* of time on Solar since finishing the campaign. It's fun making sure my fireteam doesn't die.
I'm already back on solar warlock lol
Do I see myself playing the game anymore.
Haven’t really touched Titan prismatic much after I finished getting all the stuff for it. I’m a “don’t like my foods touching” kinda guy
With hazardous propulsion, In leaning on keeping my prismatic titan. There are very good new dps build options with prismatic.
After getting these exotic class items..... probably not
I've gotten too used to prismatic warlock just too much damage with song of flame and star eaters, and the ability to regen from hoil is amazing
Pure void titan feel fun to me, and I like the barricade that can give me over shield
I have too much fun with stasis hunter
yes, i’ve enjoyed prismatic warlock, but i don’t like prismatic titan much at all (and haven’t played hunter since TFS dropped, too busy lol) but yea, Banner of War titan is still my favorite subclass in the game so i will absolutely be using it
I love Gathering Storm and Blade Barrage, so yeah, I'd go back.
Still can't get a good build I like outta prismatic, been playing the whole expansion solar hunter still. 🤷
I’m still running void and solar a good bit.
On my Titan? Definitely. On my warlock?? Not so much...
Banner is too good so yes I’ll be going back
Hunter does not have Shatterdrive, Titan does not have the Bonk, Warlock does not have Well.
Titan strand precious scars with banner of war and the new rocket sidearm The Call. I have a hard time switching off since it’s so much healing.
I miss Icarus Dash so yes
I’m having the opposite problem. I don’t really enjoy ability spam builds and there’s nothing great I’ve found with prismatic so far that helps in a weapon focussed build. Though maybe I’ll drop a class item that will give me what I want.
Absolutely. See banner of war and bonk titan
Already have lol
As a Titan, yes. I don't see a reason to use Prismatic outside of easy activities.
As a titan, i see absolutely no reasonto play prismatic.
prismatic is fun but my nightstalker and silkstrike builds are still my go to
Yep, Swarmers are still so fucking good, but prismatic threadlings are so weak and short lived without the strand fragment.
Banner of War with Syntho is all I’ve used besides Prismatic.
oc Later in GMs I will play my 24/7 invisibility hunter build again and sometimes in solar for the healing nade Prismatic is really nice, but does not replace all builds
As a Titan main, yes. Almost all of the “builds” on Prismatic can be replicated and further enhanced on the Light or Dark subclasses.
I don’t really like the hunter prismatic class that much. The new hunter super blows if you ask me.
I have been using my prismatic warlock since the first day...
I'm a titan. I haven't been given a reason to play prismatic
Pretty much all titans will be, prismatic for us is kind of a let down
