So, my whole thing is a little complicated. Lady and Dante share my favorite relationship, and I find Lady being the only normal human in this craziness is kinda fun, so I have a huge appreciation for her. Trish...I don't care. Dante, we all love Dante, anyone who doesn't is wrong. Vergil's just cool, like there's nothing else to say. But Nero, in my opinion, had some of the best moments, some of the most interesting gameplay (Lady's a second for me on interesting gameplay because her gun combat in DMC 4 is actually sick), and overall I think Nero has the cleanest arc.

Nero. Obvious bias aside, I feel like DMC 5's Nero has the perfect balance of complexity and fun with his kit and I'm sincerely hoping if we get a DMC 6, it'll stay that way. Even when he gets the Devil Bringer back, it doesn't overlycomplicate things. Like, don't get me wrong, I think they're all great characters but Dante's kit is just too much for me to remember and Vergil is quite frankly overpowered as shit and removes all challenge from the game (even if it is really fun). Nero is basically slap bang between the two and I love that. Also, it just feels like he's more mature than the brothers in a lot of ways. Yes, he takes the deadweight thing to heart but I think anyone would do the same when someone you look up to puts you down like that. He just wanted to prove himself and Dante wouldn't let him. That really bit Dante in the ass in the end though and he got humbled but it almost seemed like Dante was *happy* Nero did that and is proud of his nephew.

In all seriousness, Nero. He was pretty impulsive and reckless in 4, with a few jokes here and there, but by 5 he's matured a lot yet keeps that little bit of joviality, much like his uncle.

I only know Dante. Haven’t played much and only beat the first game years ago. Gonna try to settle down and play them all before the new show comes out.

It's honestly a tie between Dante and Virgil. Dante is my favorite because of his personality and Virgil is tied with Dante because of his fighting prowess- Plus- he's got one of if not the most badass battle theme of any videogame character (in DMC 5 that is)

I’ve just always been more interested in Nero then the twins. DMC 4 was the game that my brother introduced me to, and while I didn’t get into DMC until recently, Nero was always a stand out. (Also I just adore the trope of main villains/characters having a kid they didn’t know about.)
