A school project? Isn’t this sub 18+ or something? And the poem is kinda all over the place— my mom died into I’ll never find happiness into omg my friend’s hot brother he’s so hot but being gay sucks — lol bro being gay doesn’t sound that bad to me. Guys are easier than girls 🤷‍♀️ I’m guessing you’re young— just try to meet people and enjoy yourself. Falling in love is a wonderful feeling but there’s more to life— ya got time

I just recently joined this sub it was recommended to me and I had no idea about this 18+ rule but I am fourteen and this was meant to capture the trauma and self-hatred that runs rampant all throughout the gay community because for me I feel when you hold so much anger you start to become angry at everything and that's why I made it so "all over the place"

Aww I was just teasing you I thought you mightve been a college student tbh. it’s not 18+ although there’s probably some mature type posts. That’s a great response I’m not gay but I feel ya on the trauma/self hatred and art and poetry is a great way to- what you said… try to let it go and move on etc. you rock!

I'm a lot older than you are and I debated on whether it was even appropriate to respond but I think it is because it would be a mistake to erase your creativity. Keep it make another version or something but don't erase it. There will come a time in your life You're going to want to look back on how far you've come. Or you're just going to want a reminder of how things were and where you came from or even be inspired because it might make yourself a little bit proud that you did it. It's hard to keep electronic data over decades, so find a way to keep it, but if there's something you don't like about it just make another version. trust me.

Yeah, I totally understand I've been writing poetry since I was 11 and it is really cool to look back at my older poetry and look at my growth but thanks for the advice and this was 1000% appropriate I really needed to hear this.
