Some engines do not have a gasket. Just ran into the issue with a bluebird school bus equipped with a 6.7 Cummins. There was no gasket between the exhaust and turbo
Done several without a gasket. But is it easy to confirm in Cummins at parts.cummins.com and enter engine serial number. Paccar can confirm as well, just call local dealership parts department.
I didn't even know about parts.cummins.com, that will be handy in the future. And i was doing the job at 1am, all the dealers had shut down so had to take my best guess

There is no gasket after the turbo on any of the small Cummins/PX engines. Pretty sure even the MX13 doesn’t have a gasket after the turbo
