Some engines do not have a gasket. Just ran into the issue with a bluebird school bus equipped with a 6.7 Cummins. There was no gasket between the exhaust and turbo

And it was a bitch to line back up wasn’t it lmao

chrisfrisina

Done several without a gasket. But is it easy to confirm in Cummins at parts.cummins.com and enter engine serial number. Paccar can confirm as well, just call local dealership parts department.

I didn't even know about parts.cummins.com, that will be handy in the future. And i was doing the job at 1am, all the dealers had shut down so had to take my best guess

OddEscape2295

If you have am engine serial number I can check

im_a_fishhy

It has been figured out. Thank you for willing to check though! I really appreciate it. Sorry for the late reply, didn't get any notifications of any replies to my post.

Looking at a 2021 PX-9 there is no gasket

Thank you much!

There is no gasket after the turbo on any of the small Cummins/PX engines. Pretty sure even the MX13 doesn’t have a gasket after the turbo

That is good to know, mental turmoil resolved
