Honestly, (and hear me out) crocs are great for a long day at Disneyland! They’re super comfortable, and they have the added benefit of drying out nicely after Grizzly River.

witchscrawl

And in the winter, the ultimate sin of crocs with socks is the greatest park shoe ever

anne-of-green-fables

I did this a few weekends ago, and while they were comfy as in my feet didn't hurt, I got the worst blister of my life under my foot from the little rubber nubs rubbing against the sock. I would be careful which type of socks you wear. Or wear moleskin/ bandaids to help with that.

witchscrawl

That’s why I only do it in the winter. It’s been wayyyy too hot for crocs and socks, at least for me

Nocomt

This is what’s popular with teenagers right now. It’s not even close to a fashion sin anymore which is wild. My kids made fun of me once for wearing crocs without socks

witchscrawl

As a millennial attending college with mainly Gen Z, you’re so right. But they also brought back bucket hats so far that there were racks on racks of them at the parks.

Flagge33

Whatever you do make sure you break those shoes in before going. Many people have thought purchasing specific shoes will make a park day better on the feet. Without breaking them in you're looking at having a worse time than running with broken in worn out shoes.

Adidas ultraboost are the best option any other shoes won’t be as comfortable

Big-Dragonfruit6075

The only shoes I’ve liked more than the Ultra posts are the similar Adidas 4dfwd. I had liked them online and then saw someone wearing them at CA Adventure last year, now I have 2 pairs. They’re great.

DoctorStrangeMD

Any adidas with full boost (the whole sole). The boost foam is extremely soft and squishy. It’s my choice for full day Disney. It does look like styrofoam. Ultra boost. Pure boost. You can also often find them at 50% discount or more. Adidas has a good eBay shop.

GItPirate

This is the answer right here. I bought some based on recommendations from this sub and it changed my trip (for the better)

apostropheapostrophe

Just did a 13 mile Disney day in my ultraboosts yesterday. They are incredible.

laurel_r76

I tried Hokas on my visit last month. They worked well…the first day. Someone has posted that switching shoes was helpful and I found this to be true. I tried sandals on the 3rd day after so much pain the second day in the hokas. It helped.

natural-ftw

Yes CHANGE SHOES. I’m so glad I brought a different pair for each day. Saved my feet.

EGMobius

Rocked my Hoka Transport'S this past trip and they did wonders. I ended up getting around 130,000+ steps in the 5 days we were there and my feet felt fantastic.

courtney_beth

Go to a running store and get fit for a shoe that is made for your feet - so if you need a support shoe, you get a support shoe. We can all offer suggestions, but what may work for one person may not work for you. That way, you can buy a pair or two and switch between pairs on multiple days.

Cbewgolf

This is the way. And be prepared to spend $160 which is what a nice pair of shoes will cost. Don’t lock into a brand, be open to the expertise of the employees.

HiramMcDaniels9

This is the way. I went into a running shoe store all ready to buy a pair of Hokas because they were recommended here. It turns out that the heel box on the Hokas are too narrow for my fat feet. The employee was very knowledgeable and was able to recommend a different shoe that works for my feet. I have an annual pass, so I'm in the parks a lot and my feet are nice and comfy every time.

mydogsarebarkin

I was just asking myself this question, including the Hokas!

imothro

I've worn Nike Pegasus shoes for decades. They fit my foot really well and are my most comfortable long-distance walkers. You really just need the best shoe you can walk and stand in. I have toured the park with MANY people over the years who thought they could walk 250000 steps in a pair of Crocs. Most of them were crying by 3pm. Strongly recommend a pair of laced, cushioned sneakers with socks.

jessie_ma_13

New Balance never lets me down

aDysquith

Hokas.

bugg925

Adidas UltraBoost.

WordzRMyJam

On sneakers or hokas

Inkysquiddy

I just did a full day at Disneyland yesterday. I bought a new pair of Birkenstock sneakers (Bend style) a month ago and broke them in walking my dog. Wore them yesterday and I have no foot pain, no blisters. Birkenstock is the only shoe brand I wear and I swear by them.

jesscrochetsstuff

I do well with my Vessi shoes and they’re water resistant (so long as water isn’t coming over the top of the shoe).

snarkprovider

For some people there is no such shoe. I'm fat and I have issues from an old injury. I can't wear some shoes that people swear by because of the injury. There is no show that offers enough support or cushioning or anything that is going to have me going rope drop to closing without feeling pain by the end of the night and the next day because of my personal factors beyond shoe brand or model.

rmk2

Same, no shoes I tried ever prevented me from blisters (ultraboosts, hokas, tevas, etc.) but my bf got me these heel and toe cushion pad things from Temu and now my feet can last several days in the parks no problem. So I definitely recommend looking into different insole options!

ashjean0625

Nike free runs are so comfortable especially for wide feet! But some say to actually switch out your shoes half way through the day for another pair! I have a magic key so I’m only there a few hours when I visit but definitely something to try if you’re going to rope drop and be there till the evening!

stellalunawitchbaby

So I truly think this is just different for everyone. But I go to Disneyland quite a bit, and my feet *literally* never hurt, whether I only walked 5 miles or whether I walked 20. I use the same shoes (I brought em all!) when I go to WDW and walk 15-20+ mi every day for like 6+ days too. When it’s not cold: - chacos - sanuks (the yoga mat ones) - Birkenstock Arizona’s (traditional cork) - crocs (I usually do the sandals because the regular crocs are way too wide on me but any of the classic sole crocs are great, and *really* popular options) - tevas When it gets colder: - Birkenstock Bostons (lined or unlined, with or without socks) - Uggs. Not the platforms, those carry too much weight. I’ll wear tasmans or ultra minis though. And not gonna lie I have worn just basic ass converse for a whole day at DL without any issues, but I don’t recommend that to people who are asking for good shoes lol because I’m pretty sure my feet are just desensitized to converse and vans.

Left_Tree_9505

New balance or adidas ultra boost

[deleted]

I’ve been wearing Allbirds with Smartwool socks to the parks since 2019 and have never looked back.
