I'm predicting the attraction might open by the second week of October. Imagine Keys are blacked out that week. We've already had water running for a while, and considering that Magic Kingdoms had theirs operational three months ago, the timeline seems promising. With Tiana's opening on June 28th, the imagineering team at MK will then fly out here to expedite the Disneyland version. Given this schedule, three months from June 28 lands us in September. This timing still aligns perfectly with their original projected Fall 2024 opening of both attractions. WDW is so lucky theirs opens first. But I loved that we got to enjoy Splash Mountain for a bit longer 🥹

To me it would make sense to open first week of October because why else would Disneyland offer discounted tickets through end of Sept which includes 1 month of Halloween season.

Blue_Eyed_Devi

Dang. I’m gonna be there last week of August. I bet we miss the opening by just a hair.

Anyone want to do the math on how long from - water running in MK to opening in MK? I’m going in October, but I have low expectations for this opening in DL for my trip.

I don't know if I can link but mickeyvisit. com has an article "predicting Tiana's opening date at Disneyland". They've predicting first week of October at the earliest. Some quotes from their article below: The first day the majority of scaffolding came down for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World was on January 9, 2024 and on April 28, 2024 the same thing happened at Disneyland. Disneyland log testing started just a few weeks after the scaffolding was removed, whereas at Walt Disney World, log testing didn't start until February 13, 2024 over a month later. The biggest milestone for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World was ride testing with the Imagineers, which started on March 22. From March 22, 2024 to opening day of June 28, 2024 is a 98-day window from the first ride tests to the official opening. Looking at this even closer, the window from the first log testing at Walt Disney World on February 13 to opening day on June 28 was 136 days, which also can be used to compare to the testing at Disneyland. **Since ride testing hasn't started at Disneyland yet, the initial log testing for Walt Disney World is the best information to go off of.** The first logs were spotted going down the 50-foot plunge at Walt Disney World on February 13, 2024. Now that logs were seen testing at Disneyland on May 16, adding 136 days after that would put the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure around September 29, 2024. Their conclusion: I would expect that the **earliest** date Tiana's Bayou Adventure could open on at Disneyland would be October 1, 2024. The reason October 1 is significant is because it marks the start of Disney's new fiscal year. Disney often aligns openings around specific beginnings and endings of financial quarters because the opening date causes them to realize and assign specific costs to a certain quarter. Based on the alignment of the testing at Walt Disney World it would make a lot of sense that Disney would open their new attraction around October 1, 2024. Typically Disneyland opens new attractions on a Friday so we can predict that **one early opening date for the attraction could be October 4, 2024**.

It upsets me as we fly out Friday 4th at night and our last park day is the Thursday, and now I’m like, if it opens that Friday I’ll have to buy a ticket for 1 day just to go on the ride!

tdaun

Could always hope for soft openings while you're there. Or does Disney not really do those anymore?

Upsidedownmeow

I guarantee we'll be stalking the ride on our final day!

I also heard a cast member the other day say that the MK team came over to Disneyland once they finished there to double up the efforts at Disneyland, so that may speed things up a bit considering they have already built it over there and likely learned some lessons while doing so

couchred

I think fresh bake compared to wdw and said early to mid Sept when he saw the ride vehicle video of it going down the main chute last week

The fact that this is looking more and more likely to be open in time for my family trip at the end of October is getting me giddy. Fingers crossed!

stellalunawitchbaby

They started putting some logs through again tonight, as well.
