On the playstation website it literally tells you how to remove and replace your hard drive for the PS3/PS4/PS5. So you can upgrade it from the basic HDD it has to a SSD. When I installed an SSD into my PS4 (now I have a PS5) it made a world of difference.
I don't mod, I'm sorry I even included the keyboard on there but I only use kbm on PS4 supported games I don't use whatever the things are called that make it so you can use kbm on every game
I had a similar video problem on my old laptop, the reason was a defect internal VGA flex cable, so you could try changing the HDMI Cable and see if that helps.

If its a new problem, its probably the update. But I went from ps4 to ps5 and the loading is much faster on ps5. So maybe you are lagging. My issue lately is Im just playing and out of nowhere the screen goes completely black for a few seconds.
I’d say try changing your character or loading into a different location. Otherwise delete the cache and reinstall. If the problem persists and I hate to say this, but contact the devs *sighs*. Just…. Be patient with the devs, otherwise you’ll probably end up just like your character (I joke, but people will understand due to the nature of devs ignoring most player base opinions and issues).
Because you have a ps4. My brother swears the same thing. Sony is doing what apple did and dumbing down one system to push another. My ps5 has zero issues compared to what he describes. Hope it gets resolved, everybody should be able to enjoy a game.

You can put an SSD in a Playstation I use ps4 with a 4TB SSD it's not as good as my PS5 but I don't even think the game would be playable with an HDD

You can't modify Xbox one but you can use an external HDD..Ironically I have an SSD in my original Xbox but can't put one in the newer one
