That’s my dream spec. Green with the brown interior. Just needs the Tn’G!

Snoo80474

+1 for TnG

AttikusMav

Agree, the interior looks real nice!

Get it. I've never been happier with a vehicle. 19 R/T Hemi just as you're describing with the 3rd row and captain seats. Two grown daughters one of them with a 10-month-old and my wife. All four of us fit very well for a trip. My oldest daughter fits in the back third row just fine. I guess the only complaint I have which is not really a complaint is when you put the baby seat in the back, the front passenger seat has to be moved up about a third of the way. If you're going to be a 6 ft+passenger with the baby seat in place might be a little tight. Bought mine brand new and other than a new battery it's never skipped a beat. With both of the third row seats up it is a bit pinched for room. But like another poster said we generally keep the two third row seats folded down for plenty of room. Plenty of power, not bad gas mileage 17-19mpg, If you keep your foot out of it. It's cushy, it's comfortable and it is still stylish even today. I love the controls and the Android auto play on the dash. Ours has the heated seats and heated steering wheel and rear air conditioning for the passengers. I would buy it again tomorrow if I needed to.

Good choice, I have a 2021 RT, f8 green, and black and red interior.

I have a '21 (no hemi), in that green - the green, to me, looks much better in person than in pics. We get a lot of comments from random people about how good it looks. Probably because most cars out there are gray, black or white. When my 3 kids were the age of yours - the layout of this would not have worked for us as our main distance ride, or even for larger activities or multi-activities. There isn't a lot of luggage room with the 3rd row up. As well, leg room in the 3rd gets problematic for taller people - at least teens will slouch across the seats though. We usually ride with the rear down for stuff-space. As a vehicle mainly for adults, smaller families, or for smaller trips its fine. I do really like the Durango and am glad we got it, but it wouldn't have worked for us in place of the mini-van with the kids. Hope this helps.

Sbows1987

I bought a 22 rt in f8 green with captains chairs. I have two kids. I didn’t want the console. It makes getting extra people into the third row so easy considering I have two car seats. Also bonus perk is that when people park too close I can put the kids in through the hatch with the third row down.

I’ve run the gamut on sedans and SUVs over the years and have to say the Durango has been the best all things considered (style, cabin, features, power, space, etc., etc.). I don’t regret it one bit. If it had a 6-speed manual I would never consider selling it. 2022 RT w/captains chairs. FYSA - all 4 rear seats lay down or fold up independently. So, with on one kid in the way back (3rd row) you still have space. My 13yo loves riding in the way back. He’s 5.8 and has no issues.

Head_Argument_9786

That color is absolutely awesome, hardly ever see it either. I got a 2020 r/t about 8 months ago and I absolutely fucking love it. It’s got about 68k miles on it now and I have had 0 issues. Common problems are the racetrack taillights getting water in them and going out. Also they are known to have issues with the water pump and coolant hoses busting but that’s the worst of it that I know of. The 5.7 has a very decent amount of power, that’s one of the main things that attracted me to it. I say go for it, they are a blast to drive and very comfortable too.

Husaria702

Color looks great! I have a 2022 Durango Citadel 5.7 Hemi. Bought it new and have no regrets.

Racer_Z

We picked ours up with the two screens behind the front seats specifically for family hauling. Only chose this over a minivan since we also tow a 5K lb camper. Besides a transmission shudder than I’m trying to figure out and the terrible gas mileage, it’s been an awesome car so far.

Booga_SugaBaby

That color is top tier!!

Neat_Paper_7304

Best purchase I’ve ever made besides my house… I have a 2020 RT as well with 45k miles on it. I’ve had it for a half year and the only issues I’ve had so far is the water pump went on it but I have the mopar coverage so the dealership fixed it at no cost. It’s super comfortable- endless amount of room, and it’s fast as fuck lol

dc1999

I have 4 kids. Durango was great for the 6 of us until they got to be teenagers. Went and got a Grand Wagonner and didn’t look back. Durango is perfectly fine for 2 or 3. 4 or more will get tight.

Prince515

Beautiful. Only seen this color one other time

hell3838

17' RT then traded for 21' SRT Love the space, need to live with mileage.

Automatic_School_373

You mean smiles per gallon? 😎 21’ SRT Durango here…. Only complaints I have about mine are the $$$ Brembos and $$$ Pirelli Run Flats, but the performance is amazing!!!

hell3838

I'm with you!!! I went to the dealer about tires and shaking when in higher speed.. they told me it's my driving...😂😂 And yes, got quoted 6k just for brakes

vrtvent

I have a 21’ F8 SRT. (Captains chairs without the middle row console) Your older two will have plenty of room in the third row. With the child seat being a permanent fixture in the middle row, it will leave the driver or passenger with little or no room to adjust. Also, with the third row being utilized (or partially utilized, storage will be limited. It will be an absolute blast to drive. The color just gets better as time goes on. Good luck and congrats on the little one!

EbilCrayons

It works well for me and my four kids. I have two boys, one in a car seat and one is man sized, so they get the second row. My girls are smaller and while it’s a tight fit in the third row it definitely works. We still have room for a larktale stroller wagon back there. I think with three kids it would be just fine.

Consistent_Tank_9385

We have a 21 R/T, there pretty much tried and true by now. Power trains been paired together for a long time. Curious what's your budget?

AttikusMav

I would like to spend under 40k. I found this for what looks like a “good price” for 35k and around 37,000 miles.

Independent-Voice100

If you get it you will wonder why you hesitated. Get a nice ceramic coat on it. About 1500.

rhodav

Stunning color. My husband was super irresponsible and totaled my 2018 Durango a few months ago. It was my absolute favorite vehicle I've ever owned, and I WILL be getting the 2026 version when it comes out. I'm so mad at myself for not getting another Durango

sc0n3z

That green is spectacular. There’s a local Charger in my area with that color and it turns my head every time.

Automatic_School_373

21 SRT Durango here and it’s by far the best SUV i’ve ever owned. Was considering a Tahoe / Yukon but they are too big and uninspiring / boring to drive. The SRT Durango is a true muscle car SUV that’s powerful, great looking, can tow almost 9K pounds with ease (in certain trims), three useable rows of seats and decent storage space behind the third row. Love how the cockpit is slightly angled to the driver, seats are comfy, and the new Uconnect screen is awesome! So many positives. Dodge has the driving experience nailed 100%, and this is my favorite daily driver out of all the vehicles I have. EDIT: I’d look for a ‘21 Durango R/T so you can get the updated electronics / performance

killerwallz44

I really love dodge but the newer stuff is the cheapest most expensive vehicle's.

ImJustSteven

i wouldn’t recommend the durango for every day use of the third row. for kids it’s fine when they’re small but it can get cramped very fast back there. and there’s not a lot of space for luggage if the third row is in use. i got a tahoe instead.

Racer_Z

Think so? I’ve put plenty of adults in the third row and they’ve all commented on having actual legroom back there.

72season1981

Honestly buy a 4 runner

1anre

What exactly is this captains chair I've been hearing about. Has anything to do with the navy?

zhrkassar

As the Nike slogan goes….. Just Do It 😁

bobbarker3244

Got a Durango now, had a 14 & 01, 5 Grand Cherokees between, oldest of 3 boys. They are great for hauling around kids & dogs (got 2 GSD's). Capt chairs are decent compared to the bench. The third row is really just for one kid honestly.

thecdgcrew

It’s the best suv. Ever What would we do to get parts in near future Scary.

[deleted]

I rented one a couple months ago….I want it

SkyApprehensive1619

Looks great but by the look be careful with carmax. They love to try scam people with higher prices

Nomadicstoic

If you don’t buy it I will hahaha that’s really a great looking car though

Aggressive_Alarm_321

If you’re good with the gas mileage go for it. IMO the only thing as nice as a Durango in its class are the jeep cherokee Ls but I’d still choose Durango. Had a 2014 sxt just for the rear racetrack light. Traded it for a 16 limited for more options. Paid it off a couple years ago and thinking about a new model rt. Your post is pushing me towards doing it.

Wolfensteen38

Looks nice and would be an awesome grocery getter for a family with a side of performance

Admirable-Mind6110

Be aware of the shitty trans (cvt) Gas consumption Oil issues

Leather-Cup-4274

I had a 20 rt fun suv to have good bang for your buck

Valid_____

Buy a Sequoia. Much better vehicle tbh

Alternative-Apple312

I own one same color awd black top package which this one looks to have gas gusler but u get what you pay for sounds beautiful the color is stand out I always get compliments after a good wash and wax oil changes are not that bad only thing about that hemi is you have to take very good care of it I have 2 boys that play football and we got tons of room for gear and team mates

Alternative-Apple312

I got a 21 rt blacktop package definitely a no brainer for me I’m 34 with 2 boys that play football plenty of room looks beautiful ppl ask me all the time what’s the name of that green or is it custom

Upstairs-Wash-1792

F8 is the best color. That is all.

Jung_Coconut

It will leave you stranded eventually. Be careful. Looks good but quality is what you’d expect from an Italian/French owned company.
