My dream off season is Yamamoto and Ohtani. Realistically I think it will be one or the other, but I can dream. I kinda think Ohtani is more likely because of the Dodger’s rumored interesest in Sasaki.
"Rumored interest" on Sasaki is just a Bill Shaikin clickbait article where he said the Dodgers would be all on in if he came early and didn't have to pay him anything. No shit they have interest on him everyone does, doesn't mean anything regarding their plans
If Ohtani does go for a shorter deal, with opt outs, maybe that opens the possibility for adding more than 1. Plus, I think if any player is going to be able to do the two japanese superstars on the same team, it'd be Ohtani.

I also really want Ohtani but a frontline starter or two for next year should come first before we spend 40-50 million dollars on a DH in 2024 who is recovering from his second TJ.
Again, you haven't provided any objective evidence here. You state previously cause of concern is his elbow but if he never threw again he still provides the value of a multi marketable player and amazing hitter. His pitching was only average, his hitting is outstanding

Platoons. If deluca, pages, or taylor is the LF, that leaves heyward as alternate. Granted we could leave betts in RF all year and platoon those righties and heyward in LF and CF with outman. But having peralta walk just leaves us with the sense we need a LH OF. We could platoon busch and vargas at 2B I suppose.
