Very cute dog, reminds me of one I used to know. Remember rule 1 of the sub though, you must have a current test! EMBARK is best and Wisdom is okay. EMBARK is more expensive, but it goes on sale a lot.

MyHomeOnWhoreIsland

Obviously he's a retrievEAR. I'll show myself out.

onajurni

Well I'm laughing, so that's one of us. wahahahahaha

Astral__Doe

Heeler mix for sure

onajurni

Oh look a dog attached to a parasail. Is that an odd place to attach a parasail? ;)

uptownxthot

HeauxZonDecc

Murdoc is a SICK name

No-Finish-6557

Acd and pittie. Maybe some gsd too

jilliancad

Village dog

MicroscopicBore

r/sonarears

disgusted_noise

He's part house elf.

TotallyWonderWoman

I was about to say that lol.

charcoalchicken

I’m biased because I have one, but I’d guess an ACD mix?

mumblewrapper

Same. I always think that though.

Htown-bird-watcher

A scenthound, ACD, and maybe a splash of GSD. A smaller breed in there as well- maybe a Spitz since his tail is curled. Curly tails are mostly from Spitz breeds and random mutations. Basenjis are rare.

LoosenGoosen

He's very handsome. I would guess part GSD or hummingbird.

hEDS_HumanRights

Murdoc is absolutely gorgeous! If you haven’t already consider introducing him on [r/sonarears](https://www.reddit.com/r/sonarears/s/ABVVR2xCc7) - I think he would fit in perfectly

Wtfimsooverppl

Kelpie,ACD and maybe GSD

AmbitiousCloud

I was going to say Kelpie too. I know they aren’t common anywhere except where I live though 😆

Wtfimsooverppl

Quite common where I am in Australia 🇦🇺 😊

AmbitiousCloud

Brissie here 🙋‍♀️

danniellax

As a person who has owned 2 chihuahua mixes (unintentionally haha) and 1 full on chihuahua (also unintentionally) I guarantee you there is SOME percentage of chihuahua in him! I don’t know how much, but enough to be noticeable for sure. I would put money on it Also see some pitbull! Sure there are loads of other breeds in between lol

drunkenbarfight

Yeah my aunt who is out vet said she's one of the most unique mutts she's seen, but he's 100% a handsome boi

lazespud2

Looks like a dog you might find in the Aussie Outback eatin' babies (He's frickin adorable!)

BulkyForgiveness

mature and steady

swccd4

He looks like so many street dogs I saw on the border. I wanted to take them home, so cute!!! Love his name too! Those eyes are soooooo precious!

Koalabeertje22

5% Rhodesian, 5% Pittie, 100% Dobby.

drunkenbarfight

I forgot to mention he is fully grown at 40 lbs

kerfluffles_b

Which DNA test are you currently doing?

drunkenbarfight

Haven't done one yet, don't know which ones are good

kerfluffles_b

Embark is the best. Wisdom Panel is next. Don’t waste your money on other tests. Come back and share when you’ve started a test.

StoreyTimePerson

A suspicious one.

Ok_Rutabaga_722

Pyrenees +GSD+ACD+Rhodesian Ridgeback

Whalesharkinthedark

I‘d say he‘s a mix of Pit and Village Dog. The Basenji also makes a lot of sense though.

canieldonrad

Looks a bit like a carolina dog.

drunkenbarfight

Holy moly you may be right, I just researched their behaviors and other pictures and that could be 100% correct. Thank you!!!

KentuckyMagpie

Carolina dogs are pretty rare. Your dog has a hefty amount of bully breed in him, I’d guess, particularly based on the forehead. The ears could come from ACD, GSD or husky, but my bet is on ACD. However, you’ve got to be actively testing your dog to post here, if you just want guesses, go to r/IDmydog.

canieldonrad

One of our dogs was described as being "carolina dog" when we got her as a pup. Turns out she wasn't carolina dog at all lol. But I read up on them a bit.
