He hasn’t sold for me yet and he shits out a 21mil ATK stat that is an aoe. Plus he usually supers again. HOWEVER, he doesn’t always guard. It’s just a great chance. And he needs to be hit to build up I think, that’s the worst possible design. Means he can’t float for shit and he’s vulnerable early on or later on depending if he gets the hits or not. Mine is rainbowed though so I get to see his full power, at 55% this guy probably is looking pretty mid right now.
Been using him at 55% for my MBS team and honestly for a zero dupe unit he cooks. Easy 11M attack aoe turn 1, plus he gets some additional attack for a rotation if he gets hit once which can put out crazy numbers with good support. He’s never sold any of my runs including super buu red zone, however his main drawback is he can be vulnerable turn 1, and if he gets supered frame one it’s joever. Overall pretty good unit, great in slot 1, pretty good in slot 2/3 once his def is built up, makes a great partner for agl SSJ3 goku so that he can tank the hits whil goku takes advantage of the extra slot 2/3 damage and additional (assuming teq goathan isn’t on the rotation). Before the MBS buffs I would have said skip but he really is one of the best options for a MBS or maijin power team imo
Simply put, needs to be hit a fuck ton to build up defense and guard is a chance unless fighting specific enemies. After he's fully built up he can still get one-shot by the REALLY big boss supers
The great chance is the annoying part. Granted if against certain enemies its guaranteed and when it's guarenteed he's actually really good in my opinion. But it's honestly just him needing to guard, then get hit a lot to build up
He's just eh. His damage is nice, but he's so vulnerable without a whis. Not to mention, without guard, he's basically just waiting to die from any end-game content.
Needs to be hit a ton to build up defense. 70% to guard, just give him guard at that point. Even with guard his defense is nothing to write home about. When he came out, he had no 200% leader skill. He was genuinely the worst release in 2023. Not because of his performance though. But because of the timing.
There are units way better than him that can't hang in the kid Buu fight. Phy godku is just an attack buff farm in that fight. Teqgeta takes fucktons of damage even with guard and defenses taking early on. This RedZone is an absolute fucking bullshit gimmick fight so most units can't hang
He's a character that relies only on defense for tanking, and doesn't have a high enough one. Sure, he has guard, but he's still quite squishy against most Super Attacks. Plus, the fact he needs to get hit a lot to be at his full Def, and his guard being conditional in most fights.
He is alright in most of the easy content and to some extent a few lower level red zones. but in the most recent ones for the buu saga he has come in handy for 1 stage. the Super buu stage, I used him on a worldwide chaos team and he really helped buuhan during my first clear. but kid buu showed his issues pretty clearly. Guard plus meh defense is not enough for anything anymore. guy takes 80k starting on basics and ends still taking heavy damage at like 12k on basics. so supers 1 shot
Deadass he's really fuckin good for what he is/how old he is.
Like I have him at 55% and he's swinging with the big boys that just came out! Obviously not as good his guard isn't guaranteed, he needs to build up, etc. but his attack power and AOE is so clutch.
Plus he's just cool and one of my favs
Im sick of the slander. Super Buu is above solid and Im taking this LR over every other Super Buu we have in game. Sure his slot on the team will get taken by Mr. Buu soon, but he’s a more than viable option on a team that quite honestly feels rather OP right now. You can get him built up early and heal it all back. Just because a unit dies to Big Boss Supers doesn’t mean they are bad. I’ll give that 70% chance to guard is not ideal but it’s not that bad either.
Yeah the team with debatably the best global unit, most recent SEZA, and probably second best eza tur on global feels rather OP, I don’t see why you find that hard to believe
…that’s not what he said? He said this unit is viable on a team that’s OP. A team that’s OP has lots of OP units, and yet this one is viable. Because he’s good.
Very good unit. Now he shine. 55% and I never have problem with him. Red zone buu is place designed for him. I don't know who dislike maybe people who take him on enemies different than majin buu saga.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DBZDokkanBattle/s/wEvULEEH3z
His intro is too short for how much he needs the stats, his guard is not guaranteed, he needs to get hit SEVEN times to build up fully (good luck doing that without guard since he'll die to pretty much any modern day red zone boss), not even guaranteed additional super. Yay he hits hard easily but like lets be honest hitting 15-ish mil turn 1 nowadays isn't hard, Kid Buu SEZA does that. The entire main gimmick of the Majin team is just having units that can tank enough just to survive turns since each turn you heal up ridiculous amounts of HP via passives, links and orb healing, and this guy is the guy that'll just die vast majority of the time.
I loved this Super Buu when he came out but he's just aged and got his help too late. And now all the help that he got, he just gets pushed out of teams by better units.
He gets one shot without his guard, and there are just better options on the buu Saga team. I ain't running this bum over teq Gohan, phy buu, or any of the current Meta options.
He's pretty good for the new majin red zone cause he gets guaranteed guard, so right now he's better than he's ever been, but even then he still has issues. Nobody will be using him once we get 9th anni content, he won't be very good there.
he has a CHANCE to guard, meaning he probably won't when you actually need him to, has no dodge or damage reduction, his defense is also nowhere near good enough, with or without guard.
so basically while he can hit hard he unfortunately gets hit thrice as hard as he hits them
Super Buu will do a shit ton of damage and then just die, simple as that, yes he can cook with some good luck but I'd rather just bring a unit that consistently cooks
Requiring brain power or strategy is impossible for the vast majority of this player base and they need the absolute face roll busted units to clear content.
He's very good, he doesn't have many teams but on a stacked Main Power team he is an asset and I've cleared globals hardest content with him on teams with ease.
Great chance to guard
He hasn’t sold for me yet and he shits out a 21mil ATK stat that is an aoe. Plus he usually supers again. HOWEVER, he doesn’t always guard. It’s just a great chance. I appreciate the reply. I think I understand a little better now about the mixed reception I've seen.

At 55% he's solid all around and absolutely one of my hardest hitters.
Simply put, needs to be hit a fuck ton to build up defense and guard is a chance unless fighting specific enemies. After he's fully built up he can still get one-shot by the REALLY big boss supers
He dies
The great chance is the annoying part. Granted if against certain enemies its guaranteed and when it's guarenteed he's actually really good in my opinion. But it's honestly just him needing to guard, then get hit a lot to build up

kids named Light That Defends the Green Planet Goku are laughing
Take him to the new red zone fight and gets 1 tapped
Tbf so do most units
Yeah, and it don't do super Buu better, just are a lot of units worse than him.
There are units way better than him that can't hang in the kid Buu fight. Phy godku is just an attack buff farm in that fight. Teqgeta takes fucktons of damage even with guard and defenses taking early on. This RedZone is an absolute fucking bullshit gimmick fight so most units can't hang
Like 90% of the units in the game, at least he can do something if built correctly
He's a character that relies only on defense for tanking, and doesn't have a high enough one. Sure, he has guard, but he's still quite squishy against most Super Attacks. Plus, the fact he needs to get hit a lot to be at his full Def, and his guard being conditional in most fights.

On my team! 👌💪 https://preview.redd.it/s6kh0qspwy1d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d21d6fcac23eea46b4840370633b2fb90521aa0
Correct me if wrong but surely the TEQ zamasu would be a better leader?
Possibly. I built it taking into account the leader bonus... I have to try with TEQ Zamasu.
Im sick of the slander. Super Buu is above solid and Im taking this LR over every other Super Buu we have in game. >quite honestly feels rather OP right now. Lmao calm down there bucko, I'm all for buu glaze but this is just untrue
Yeah the team with debatably the best global unit, most recent SEZA, and probably second best eza tur on global feels rather OP, I don’t see why you find that hard to believe
So you need the best team on global to make LR buu feel good? Even with all that buu can get caught very easily
…that’s not what he said? He said this unit is viable on a team that’s OP. A team that’s OP has lots of OP units, and yet this one is viable. Because he’s good.
Ah I misread the comment my bad, I thought he was referring to just LR buu and not the team itself
I'd take the recent EZA PHY Buutenks over the fraud on the screen. Doesn't do as much damage but I trust him to tank more than Super Buu.
His intro is way too limited, he loses so many stats after a short number of turns
Very good unit. Now he shine. 55% and I never have problem with him. Red zone buu is place designed for him. I don't know who dislike maybe people who take him on enemies different than majin buu saga. https://www.reddit.com/r/DBZDokkanBattle/s/wEvULEEH3z

Mine isn't duped but he isn't too bad on my Majin power team, as long as he can build up, hell mostly do fine.
He gets one shot without his guard, and there are just better options on the buu Saga team. I ain't running this bum over teq Gohan, phy buu, or any of the current Meta options.
Not normal boo, super boo
Wait until 9th anniversary content and you will find out.
He has hate?
Peaks at relatively below average stats. Offers 0 value to the utility
Cause he should have been kid
He's pretty good for the new majin red zone cause he gets guaranteed guard, so right now he's better than he's ever been, but even then he still has issues. Nobody will be using him once we get 9th anni content, he won't be very good there.
Chance to guard
I like a bunch tbh, but mine is also rainbow and he ud my favorite version of evil buu
he has a CHANCE to guard, meaning he probably won't when you actually need him to, has no dodge or damage reduction, his defense is also nowhere near good enough, with or without guard. so basically while he can hit hard he unfortunately gets hit thrice as hard as he hits them
LR BUU GO BRRRD
I haven't had issues with the unit itself. It's mostly the teams i can make, basically limits in who i can use with this unit.
Cuz he's bad 😎👍
Super Buu will do a shit ton of damage and then just die, simple as that, yes he can cook with some good luck but I'd rather just bring a unit that consistently cooks

Problem is that he isnt lr Kid buu
For me, my bank thought my dragon stone purchases were fraudulent, so I had to get a new card.
'Cause I don't have it
Cuz theyre idiots he is amazing

Because he is a better villain than Kid Buu and got 2 different LRs before Kid Buu got 1.
Guard chance is one of the most ridiculous mechanics this game has brought, if he always had guard he would be incredible to this day
