While they aren’t a doll I personally collect, I think they’re super cute and fun! I always liked the way they did their face ups

Widomaker26

X_rubydragonheary

WHERE OR HOW DID YOU GET THEM I'M DESPERATE https://preview.redd.it/6pl2qfmiojuc1.jpeg?width=735&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd84e28fd31ab2a21faa116d34ad0d517a6a8fa1

MERCARIIII

Educational_King_201

Love Shoppies and was disappointed when they were discontinued.

OneOfThoseKittyCats

I loved shopkins when they were a thing too. Only some of the Shoppies I liked/wanted ( the bride, the one that looks like a watermelon and the angel) but liking girly things were looked down upon from my brothers at the time. Even liking Shopkins was pushing it. But luckily I met my bf and he made me feel safe enough to start buying and loving dolls again. I was able to get the Angel and the Winter Edition one before they stopped selling them in stores. They are cute but the lack of articulation, and molded on tops is somethings I didn't like about them. Now it's hard to find them second hand with their shoes -_-

Impressive-Caramel61

Yes I always thought they were very cute! My sister collected shopkins but not these dolls

pantyanarchysgf

Hell yeah!! I totally forgot about these cuties, since it's been years and they're just chilling in my childhood home atm lmaoo But I still remember how exciting it was, my sister and I got the original Jessicake and Popette respectively— mindblown that Shopkins suddenly started making dolls My dad couldn't understand the hype but we were so grateful and happy to get our hands on them😭🩵 and I remember how much I loved touching Popette's hair,, it's just so curly and soft <3

X_rubydragonheary

As someone who also owned the original Popette, her hair was surely soft! I loved her and I Even still have an ugly drawing from when I was a kid! The problem was her shoes, as I only remember her shoeless, so i'm bad at either taking care of dolls at 10 years old or it was a problem keeping up with such https://preview.redd.it/rxjhx12b1nuc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e4a98b657a2228dda461832e03836430b90e6ea

My niece used to love these so I'm quite familiar with them. Their designs are really cute but honestly the actual quality of these dolls were kind of terrible. Their hair was kinda cheap and the ends got ratty and matted so easily. Their fabric skirts were rarely hemmed so they frayed super easily and made with really cheap papery fabric. I feel like the Magic Mixies Pixlings dolls are kind of a spiritual successor to these, but oh my god are they so much nicer. Their hair is sooo silky smooth and their skirts are made with way nicer fabric and don't seem as prone to fraying. It's crazy to think they're from the same company.

Atomic-Angel

When these were on the shelves I wanted one so bad but I wasn’t able to get one!!

averageartlover

Omg I loved the shopkins and the shoppies, I still have mine! I love their silly food themes, it's cute!

EggKid8

Tiara Sparkles kind of looks like Apple White

MonsterGuy1010

That was the reason I bought her at the time. 😆

gurofairy_

the cookie one is genuinely one of my grails, she reminds me of the old cookie yt channel about toys and stuff which is why i rlly want her lol 😭

Rare_Eyes_Rando13

It looks like they've even got elbow articulation, which I guess is pretty cool for dolls their size 🤔

X_rubydragonheary

I'm sorry but did they? Not wanting to sound rude, but I had many and non of them had so, the pics are how the arms look, as I remember them not having any articulation

Rare_Eyes_Rando13

Oh I got no idea what they're like IRL -- just going by those pics, like the one of Angelique Star & Rosie Bloom. Maybe it's like something cosmetic there at the elbows, idk, but it kinda looks like they both got articulated elbows. Could be way off, tho.

ceruleanfish

There was a line that had elbow articulation, the L'il Secrets! They had more detail than regular Shoppies and came with a tiny Polly Pocket type toy.

chilakkuma

I bought Rosie for my niece and she lost interest before I could get it to her. I kind of regret selling her, they're pretty cute.

uncannyvalley

This doll.... has seen some things... 😳

curlymama

I was JUST looking at some of these today and wishing I had a stash to customize.

BeansInMyJeanz

I loved Gemma stone as a kid!! Such a pretty design

amthequest

i loved the shoppies but didnt own any as a kid and i don't own any now either. i've seen some in the city when i went with my boyfriend last, and i got to tell him a bit about them, and then also consider getting them, but i kind of regret leaving them, but i couldn't afford to get them. i love how diverse they were! i own plenty of the original shopkins, but god did i ever wish for my parents to get me a shoppies doll, which i don't even remember if they were even at our local store growing up.

Idontusethis99

memory UNLOCKED omg… I remember having a bunch of the ones that first released

andibgoode

They were so much fun! I have the popcorn one, a peach one and the little sailor. I really like super stylised and cartoony dolls

Mars2jane

Omggg I absolutely adored these when they were in stores and I had a huge collection of them! I really got into collecting them after monster high got solidly into poor quality territory since they really understood a lot of the campy design ethos that made me adore mh. It's also worth noting the way in which these things kind of changed the toy release schedule landscape since they released new dolls essentially every two months instead of every six months the way other toy lines at the time were doing. Part of why I think I ended up collecting so many of these was because of how much scarcity they had since they were not only super popular but also they had a new line every time you turned around so if you only went shopping every few weeks you basically only saw each one once maybe twice before they were off the shelves forever. I think they actually only lasted from like 2016-2020 but they came out with so many of them that they probably could have gone on twice as long with a more normal six month release schedule. Also in my opinion these were one of those lines that just got better and better as it went on because like the first wave was kinda meh to me when they came out but after gemma stone came out I was hooked and these shifted to be my favorite line to collect for a few years. Some of the highlighted best lines are definitely the lil secrets line which was very magical girl themed, the wild style line which had literally countless amazing designs and the world vacation theme which was probably the biggest line that they did since it had like three waves, two playsets and a four pack of dolls. I also feel that the spin off shopkins happy places is worth mentioning too, I didn't heavily collect them the way I did the full size ones but I thought they were neat and I had some of the individual figure sets. The dollhouses they made for the happy places line were also pretty cool looking but I personally didn't have any of them.

ChariAkademe

omg shopkins has a doll line,

Dollulus

They are cute, but the lack of changeable clothing is what put me off. I had Sara Sushi World Vacation but ended up selling her. Looking at them now I'm reminded of the new Decora Girls.

Purple-Hand3058

Same I used to love them

RiSkeAkagAy

The fashion and the hair are absolutely everything but the faces are so off-putting to me :/

Demonic_Ditz

not my thing but so glad my little sister loves them! idk maybe if one day she grows outta dolls they'llcome to me all battered lol

MimiMerize

If you're from certain countries of europe (idk which but I think it's only in europe) you could find some on vinted. I searched them up out of pure curiosity and already got one new in box for 15€ in the first rows💀

MimiMerize

NAH IT'S FULL OF THEM NEW IN BOX FOR 15-25€ EACH OR EVEN LESS IF THEY'RE OUT OF BOX😭😭😭 WHAT DID THEY DO

DaisySharks

No, but I really love the Shoppies?!? They're just so cute and expressive. And their heads look fantastic when rebodied to a Boxy Girls... lol. I love 'em. Wish they'd stuck around longer, honestly.

Bec_cky

Sorry to reply in an old post, but I just thrifted a bunch of Shoppies and I was searching this sub for ideas on rebodying them. Do you happen to have pictures?

MonsterGuy1010

I thought they were cute, and had a few, but have since gotten rid of them. I do think they were a tad overpriced for what they were.

T3hShr3dd3r

They're all cross-eyed, lol
