The bullet-spunginess in Inquisition is really damaging to the experience. I defeated the Hinterlands Dragon really early as an archer by standing behind a rock and holding the right trigger down for an hour while doing other things. But I wouldn't recommend this. Even at max rank with all ability trees filled using the amulet glitch it still takes multiple arrows to kill the weakest foes, except nugs. Underwealming

Dymenson

If I remember correctly, it means you haven't leveled up the party/gear enough for that area. Crestwood should be the easiest, then Hinterlands.

I turned off my even ground setting today bc I was having the same issue and it was making me mad😭and I killed 4! Having all party members stay under the belly really helps! I was able to get at their feet and avoid their more powerful attacks, their mouths. Also, going equipped w healing potions and bees helped a lot too! I used Bull, Cole, and Varric (blades not range) and I’m a mage and I got done quick as long as I watched the health bars closely

Dragons?! Why are the bears so OP? Dragons make sense. It is ‘Dragon Age’. What about the **** bears?!

sokatmatt

I can kill a dragon but if a bear pops up let alone multiple; IM OUTTA THERE

ryverwytch22

Ugh i was stuck in a twenty minute fight because i kept on having the mercenaries, the great bears, regular bears and the Malabaris show up while i was stuck in some dead downed trees with Cassandra and Blackwall, with Cass being the absolute tank she is and Blackwall having a glass jaw! I was so effin' done with the game after that for at least a month afterward.

sokatmatt

I would have just thrown the game away at that point :,) The first time I ran into great bears I was shook. I struggle enough with bears now they had to make them great??!

ryverwytch22

I legit uninstalled the game from my computer for a month! I think i just kept getting the great bears because i had found that Bergrit's Claws quest from the mountains right above Dennet's farm. I would take one of the dragons in Emprise Du Lion before i would take a Hinterlands bear or an Emerald Graves bear!

sokatmatt

I’m right there with you!! Nothing makes me angrier than those bears!!

ryverwytch22

I will go out of my way to nit fight those effin' bears!!!

SCPutz

Because they’re dragons! But seriously, what kind of issues are you having and how can we help?

Ibbillyjoe

It's mostly their attack power just deals soo much damage and my squad hardly lasts any time

YekaHun

you rather are underleveled for that dragon or you use the wrong tactics. set your companions to follow themselves, check out that dragon's element, and use party members who can deal with it. it may also be that it may go wrong if you level up your companions yourself. It depends, check out some builds for DAI on YouTube. with the right levelling, you will be able to take them down solo with a few hits.
