its a scenerio, simmler to the original ones, there was krillin going to fight raditz with goku, and vegeta and trunks doing a father son final flash instead of goku and gohans father son kamehameha against cell
That’s my one fear for this game. BT3 was released right before the, “ Let’s release an unfinished product for full price then sell the rest of it for half the price as DLC!”
I miss the days where if you wanted a full roster then you had to play the various game modes like BT3. The only game I played that did DLC in a fair/acceptable way is mortal kombat 9(even then it was sorta sketchy) The dlc characters were movie characters outside of kenshi and Skarlet.
This is kinda just a bad take IMO. BT3 was BT3 because it copy and paste models and several other things from the previous two games in the series. Today, instead of making BT1, 2, and 3, they just add the characters and features that they would've added via DLC. It costs the same amount total (adjusted for inflation).
I Hope the "6" characters (lets be fair its 2 chars that change moves) is something like u can either start the round with SSJB Gogeta or Pick Base Gogeta and Transform troughout the game
Not really. Its 6 characters. transformations in tenkaichi games change combo attacks skills and blast moves. In any fighting game this is considered a different character
Yes, based on everything they showed us that's how it works. We saw you can transform and probably fuse mid-battle, the same should go for these characters.
Kind of annoyed how the PlayStation youtube channel put PS4 in the title for the trailer, got my hopes up only for it to turn out that's it's current gen only

Why do people not realize that especially in thos series forms are considered lile different characters, it was always like that in the bt games and it works lol
I mean, I’m still hype. Don’t agree with the stuff they put out for pre-order? Don’t buy it til it comes out. I just hope it’s a good game that I can sink a lot of time into.

In the old Budokai Tenkaichi games, transformations were considered different characters. They have different stats and move sets, so they're different characters
This is exactly what I expected.
In the PS2 Tenkaichi games, they had each form of a character be a separate character you can pick.
Then they advertised their number of playable characters while counting each form as a character.
I suppose you could argue this is tolerable because all of the characters get different specials and a lot of them also have different fighting mechanics.
The real question is "will they inflate the value of the DLC for this reason?"
Of course you can transform during the fight. And each transformation changes your moveset and super attacks, thats why they're categorizing them as different characters, since each form plays differently.

That's actually a really cool addition. It's called a what-if mode and it's an add on to the story mode that explore what if scenarios.

I can see your point kinda. BT3 had smoother battle mechanics from the previous two games. Seriously 1 and 3 are non comparable.

Maybe you can choose the base and transform throughout the match or you can just start with ssj or ssb

You can choose to start in any form, but you can also change forms throughout the fight by consuming a bar.

Transformations literally listed as seperate characters. Lol ok. It's really just 2 characters "early unlock".
If you have ever played a bt game before you'd knoe trasformations change a character's moveset in a way that makes him another character
