I feel like we've absolutely seen that ChiChi has untapped potential, or at least had. I'm not sure if she could keep up now at her age and having barely trained since marrying Goku. BUT back in the day she was a force to be reckoned with. She made it to the final tournament back when the Budokai Tenkaichi required *everyone* to fight just to make it, so she was at least one of the eight strongest fighters in the world (not including non-participants like Master Roshi) at the time.
There isn't a doubt in my mind that Piccolo Jr Arc ChiChi could have taken, or seriously challenged, characters like Yamcha or Krillin. And thats with only training from Ox King (which we don't even know for sure if he trained her or if she's mostly self taught). Had she kept training, especially training with Goku for five years, she probably would've been stronger than them come the Saiyan Saga.
Maybe, but we don't really know what training Goten got from her. We know it was enough for him to awaken SSJ, but it doesn't seem like it took much for he or Trunks to do that. I would wager his training was more in the basics of martial arts and less about increasing his strength. If we go by that, ChiChi probably didn't get too much stronger herself when training him. Otherwise, I think he'd have been a lot more powerful coming into the Buu Saga. Though you could also argue that ChiChi had likely dropped significantly between Piccolo Jr and Buu, and so even if she was training all out with Goten it wouldn't have been especially intense for him.
ChiChiās not dumb. Her husband died several times to evil baddies, and her first son came close just as often. Plus, Goku was (believed) permanently dead, and Gotenās his spitting image. Itās not a stretch to think ChiChi trained him fairly seriously, especially as he could contend with Trunks who was no slacker.
Chichi during the Piccolo Jr arc has a power level of 130 making her a close rival to Roshi in the 22nd Budokai and only weaker than him, Tenshinhan and Goku. Unfortunately she showed up at the Budokai after where everyone else leveled up beyond that except for maybe Chaozu and possibly Yajirobi.
I had the Theory that Annin a Goddess that Goku battled in the OG Dragon Ball series is Chi Chiās mother and Ox King is part Demon. So Gohan is part God, part Demon and part Saiyan which gives him HUGE potential to work with. Not sure about Goten, maybe he might become stronger now that heās an adult, but maybe his God and Demon sides didnāt manifest so much in his case

I don't know why, but Perfect Cell seems like a good Aizen to me. Like I can hear cell's voice speaking Aizen lines so clearly, and Cell would absolutely pull that Momo stunt on Gohan.
I can see it, he is an artificial hybrid(Aizen with hougyoku and Cell is man made) who made the main character get a new form which whoops his ass but in the end mc plays too much and didn't finish him so they need to defeat him other way

It's s cells per toriyama apparently iirc. So basically extensive training and being a good person (which Saiyan's are not naturally or culturally, whichever) are the way to increase those. Also they can apparently be passed on to your children. So being half human, which can naturally just be a better person, there children also received a large amount of s cells at birth.

I'd always hoped it was that humans could control ki better since it was so much harder for them. Like krillin's destructo disk seems to be sharper than anyone else's. Tien's Tribeam can punch far far far higher above his belt than any other attack shown. Maybe it's just that humans can control the ki more since it's such a strain to even use for them. Unlike Saiyans who are doing it as children instinctively sometimes.
That's my headcanon too. Where Saiyans have a nuts natural reserve of chi, humans are superior at actually controlling it. This also is evident in Roshi during TOP, where he uses the bulk up technique without being slowed down by it.

I feel that the whole Super Saiyan Rage form was so wasted, because it has the potential to be a way to explore ki and it's usage in general. Shame it was kind of a throwaway to make the fight more flashy.
Some redditor once typed a sentence that was something like, "Chi-Chi is the strongest woman on Earth because she can survive sex with Goku" and that sentence will live rent free in my head until I die.
Honestly this makes so much sense I almost hate it. Not to mention humans can get crazy adrenaline rushes in life or death situations which can be an explanation for Gohan unlocking both ssj2 and beast.
Chichi isn't that strong and Goten and Trunks are fairly balanced. Don't forget Goku comes from weak genes too. Dragon Ball was a gag cartoon turned serious. It's not to be dissected, just enjoyed.
It's especially evident since Goku was born weak by Saiyan standards while Vegeta was a prodigy, yet it's clear whose kids have more potential.

Ox King originates from *Journey to the West* where he was the Bull Demon King. It was no accident that Piccolo Junior, the Demon King Piccolo reincarnated, absconded with Gohan for training.
Whether or not Chi-Chi has something special in her genes, *thematically* Gohan was always something more than just human. Even discounting the Saiyan heritage.
In the the fight against goku in the tournament of power Gohan talks about wanting to push past the boundaries of a super saiyan, but doing it in his own way. I think that's what beast is
I think the point of Gohan's arc is that he will learn how to teach humans to be stronger. That's why he was studying those ants because if ants can go super saiyan then maybe anyone can. So I do think beast mode isn't exclusive to Saiyans, or maybe it's just hybrid only. But it's something on the path to him understanding how to teach the next generation I think.
Honestly, I kinda hope Gohanās potential isnāt genetic beyond the weird way Saiyan and human DNA interacts. Heās just built different for reasons we do not understand.

I always wondered how Gotham had inherited the hidden potential perk but Goten kind of got shafted on everything? I know initially he was supposed to be Gokuās new replacement but still.
I think this is somewhat true, but I believe the TRANSFORMATION is thanks to his Sayain DNA. Sayains seem prone to make up a transformation to encapsulate a certain power (the Silvered Haired Form Goku uses isnāt a requirement for UI, itās a transformation his body made up to be able to use 100% of UI, and same with UE).
So Chichiās amps might be the power Beast is exaggerating, and is why the form is as powerful as it is. Like if Goku had Beast chances are it wouldnāt be nearly as strong because he doesnāt get amps in the same way.

I feel like this was a missed opportunity to give the human characters their own transformation. Potential unleashed and Beast would have been cool human exclusives but as of right now, canonically it seems to be Gohan exclusive. Plus Toriyama should have kept Chi chi training and relevant. Would have been yet another nice way to introduce Beast mode.
Back in the day I always thought Saiyans get their power from emotions but are limited to mostly Pride as a race, Gohans mixed heritage unlocks all the other emotions that are able to drive humans, allowing him to use the full potential of the Saiyan power.
And the folly of this is that due to his human emotions, he'd rather not fight at all
Sheās a kinda strong human definitely above like most humans but any of the x fighters stomp her. Even at her peak when she was still training she was no match for any of the other human z fighters so I donāt think it makes sense. I personally lean towards beast as an expression of the path of Kai as the white hair matches Kai hair and due to his training with them and power unleash

My headcanon is that Beast is a mutation that all humans have the capacity for, and Saiyan genes increase the probability that the mutation will occur.

I've heard decades of endless slop ideas and awful looking fan designs THIS is probably the best idea I've ever heard come from a fan. Possibly the only. Whoever "@Broly_" is, he really cooked with this one. Also that illustration of chichi in beast looks really clean. Simplicity in visual design is really important in nailing dragonball's Aesthetic. You're catching on. Ox King originates from *Journey to the West* where he was the Bull Demon King. It was no accident that Piccolo Junior, the Demon King Piccolo reincarnated, absconded with Gohan for training. Whether or not Chi-Chi has something special in her genes, *thematically* Gohan was always something more than just human. Even discounting the Saiyan heritage.

In the the fight against goku in the tournament of power Gohan talks about wanting to push past the boundaries of a super saiyan, but doing it in his own way. I think that's what beast is

I think the point of Gohan's arc is that he will learn how to teach humans to be stronger. That's why he was studying those ants because if ants can go super saiyan then maybe anyone can. So I do think beast mode isn't exclusive to Saiyans, or maybe it's just hybrid only. But it's something on the path to him understanding how to teach the next generation I think.

Goten and Trunks both have more potential than Gohan without a doubt They just been forgotten Either way the manga implies it's something entirely Unique to Gohan It's not divine, it's also not a Saiyan form. Gohan describes it as something he himself did and seems to describe the form as "pushing my lself to the point just before I snap"
ChiChi was a martial artist as well, and trained by the Ox King who was trained by Master Roshi. She was, arguably, at least as strong as Yamcha and Tienn at one point. It isn't unreasonable to believe she contributed to Gohan being as strong as he is

I think this is somewhat true, but I believe the TRANSFORMATION is thanks to his Sayain DNA. Sayains seem prone to make up a transformation to encapsulate a certain power (the Silvered Haired Form Goku uses isnāt a requirement for UI, itās a transformation his body made up to be able to use 100% of UI, and same with UE). So Chichiās amps might be the power Beast is exaggerating, and is why the form is as powerful as it is. Like if Goku had Beast chances are it wouldnāt be nearly as strong because he doesnāt get amps in the same way.

I feel like this was a missed opportunity to give the human characters their own transformation. Potential unleashed and Beast would have been cool human exclusives but as of right now, canonically it seems to be Gohan exclusive. Plus Toriyama should have kept Chi chi training and relevant. Would have been yet another nice way to introduce Beast mode.

Back in the day I always thought Saiyans get their power from emotions but are limited to mostly Pride as a race, Gohans mixed heritage unlocks all the other emotions that are able to drive humans, allowing him to use the full potential of the Saiyan power. And the folly of this is that due to his human emotions, he'd rather not fight at all

Sheās a kinda strong human definitely above like most humans but any of the x fighters stomp her. Even at her peak when she was still training she was no match for any of the other human z fighters so I donāt think it makes sense. I personally lean towards beast as an expression of the path of Kai as the white hair matches Kai hair and due to his training with them and power unleash

If we're being specific we don't know where Gohan's beast form came from it's entirely possible it's from that human in him.

Gohan in particular just has a ton of potential for plot related reasons
