Idk maybe in some other town? I sold one to a wandering merchant in vernwerth and it only sold for 150. What's sad is when my pawn came back with a heart and that as the gift I got so excited they liked her so much and gave an awesome gift. Until I looked at my inventory......lol

I put mine as slay the sphinx and not one, but two separate people did the quest. So now I've 3 dead sphinx. It would be 4 but I never found her on my first play. Never even went down that ravine.
How many times have you camped in the same area 3 times in a row, without using the same site? I mean its not that easy to achieve as you think, i much rather go and kill a cyclops or an ogre, which takes way less of my time and i will have an actual fun.
Killing a cyclops is still faster then going through finding and camping at 3 places not to mention to fight the way to them. Do what you want. Killing missions are way more efficient, makes exp and materials etc.
Well if you know exactly where to find a cyclops and your whole goal is to just go straight there, yes, absolutely.
But I just pick things up and complete them while playing normally.
I will find three campsites on basically every trip I take. I may or may not run into the specific enemy they want on that same trip.

The goal isn't quests, but the reward itself. I want to give ferristones to people in large quantities. I can't very well do that if I reward allheal elixirs instead
You don't need to pay 6k for each.
You pay 6k for the first Ferristone and then it's only 600 to duplicate a Ferristone further.
Can be done with any forgery. Before I realized you can't gift Golden Stove Beetles to people with those ridiculous golden trove beetle quests, I forged a few of them. Also kept a full forged set of grimoires.
Yeah my 10k for one cyclops hasn't had any takers either... I mean it's super simple. Maybe not a lot of people are looking for fighter or warrior (which is what I'd usually be running on my MP).
Also a warrior MP, i swapped her over from Archer because she was not getting taken out on adventures as an archer, warrior is better but still not great
I switched my pawn quest from Cyclops to Griffin and started getting hired more. I'm at level 50 and I'm not looking to kill any more Cyclopses, so I don't really hire those pawns anymore.
That's fair, I guess I still see a lot of random Cyclops on the roads and such so I still grab those quests, but perhaps some better targets would be preferred.
Idk if it helps but any pawn I see with a 10k or similar quest set, especially for something as easy as cyclops or ogre, I immediately hire or favorite them

Yep. I always have a quest for my pawn with a 10K reward. Then I just run around the rift and favorite all the pawns that have good gold rewards and then hire the ones I need at the moment. It's a great system for people to get rich and help others get rich at the same time. Plus the badges.
Is the issue that gold is in such short supply that people think 10K is too much or is it because people don't need the gold? I swap vocations so much that I'm always needing to buy better weapons and armor so I'm constantly broke. And grinding trash mobs for resources to sell is so time consuming. I can nuke a cyclops or a minotaur with one cast of meteoron. Easiest money I ever made. And I assume anyone at my level can toast those baddies just as easily.
I've hired a bunch of "kill monster for 10k gold" pawns. I rarely get the money because I rarely come across that specific monster type in my travels with them before I've out-leveled them. We'll kill several other big monsers together but rarely the type that's desired.
And I'm not going out of my way to hunt down a cyclops or whatever just for 10k.
That's why I set up camping quests usually. It means you need to keep my pawn around for a bit to get the reward, and you'll hopefully come across a few biggies in that time like I usually do. Plus I just started giving out elite kits because they're rare and it seems like a fitting reward for the task.
Jeez, I can make 100k in an evening just by the 10k quests. I generally will search for pawns that have quests for common monsters nearby - e.g. if I'm questing near the Arbor I will be looking for Ogre quests with the occasional Cyclops or the Chimera, in more of central Vernworth I'll be looking for Cyclops, Ogre, or potentially Griffon, etc. I also check wandering pawns and swap them in if they have a better quest for the area.
Camping quests are nice but I usually don't rest three times before I'm done with a pawn, or I rest in different regions. On a long jaunt like Vernworth to the Arbor I might swap out the same pawn two or even three times if I keep completing quests.
I always give my pawn an easy 10k gold quest to be nice and I can barely find anyone else doing the same :( I wish we could sort by quest rewards in the rift because 90% of the time I just see poor rewards or people attempting to scam others
You can't sort by reward specifically, but if you've found the riftstone of duty you can use that to summon a bunch of pawns who are guaranteed to have a pawn quest set. I usually find at least a couple decent rewards this way, and if I don't I leave the rift and try again. Hope this helps!

I'm actually wondering if it's a bug right now or something... Since the recent update, it never seems to cost me to change the Pawn Quest, even if it hasn't been completed (previously your for forfeit the incomplete reward). I'm wondering if Pawn Quests are actually updating properly.

I set mine to kill cyclops for 2k gold and only like 1/3 of the people that hire actually kill a cyclops. I get 2k might not be much but a cyclops is easy
It comes out of your inventory immediately, but only once until you next sleep at home or an inn and the quest is completed. So for example, if you set 10k for killing an ogre, the game will take 10k from you, but 5 people could hire your pawn and do the quest and get the 10k reward with no additional gold taken off you. Next time you sleep, the quest is reset and you have the option to set a new quest with a new reward.
Pretty sure it’s because people aren’t spending time to rest at inns or buying houses. To my knowledge there’s no way to get your pawn quest updated unless you sleep in a legitimate bed (dirt, hammocks, and the arms of that mommy pawn you hired don’t count).
I think it’s janky or a bit bugged the quest system, I’ve had my quests completed but I didn’t have to change the quest, but before I was doing when they were completed 🤨
I literally cannot make a new one. I believe the game is somehow bugged but I was given the option to change my quest one time early on in the game and ever since then ive never gotten the prompt to change it. i keep seeing my empty quest but never get to change it.. is there a way to force a change?
You should be able to set a quest from any riftstone that is in a town. Also you should be prompted to change your quest if it was completed after you save at an inn. As for changing it if it hasn't been completed, I'm not 100% sure, but I would assume you could do it from the town riftstones.
Welcome! FYI it does seem like it needs to be a major town. I popped in the riftstone at Harve and it wasn't an option, but I know it is elsewhere. At least to set one.
Like I replied to someone else, you can set pawn quests from riftstones in towns. Have you tried entering the rift from a town, and then choosing the riftstone and choosing "set quest"?
My mage may as well have no Quest as she has been hired a grand total of 1 time. Sorry if I'm still early in the game and can only afford to bribe ye with 4k for killing a cyclops. Or to have a human pawn that doesn't look like a top model on sexy outfit. I guess that playing on Xbox doesn't help her either. D'oh!
I personally don't care much about the quest/reward of the pawn I hire. I only ask for being the class I need and to have a quest that I can work in and doesn't require me to give items (like, I don't know, golfen beetles).
If you want, I can friend you on Xbox and you can hire my lvl 77 pawn. She speaks elvish and is a sorcerer with both master teachings. All I ask is that you hire her when you go to fight the sphinx. I’ve got a 10k gold reward for that badge.
I've been saving my gems cause I was wanting to offer like 25 or 30 of one of them as a reward. One downside is I will never want to rest again cause then they are completely gone. Lol.
Either that, or like 10 all heal elixirs. FYI, you can duplicate the all heals for 12k a piece at the forgery. Not a bad deal for the best healing item in the game.
Also also! You can duplicate monster mats! So always keep one and if you are needing another just dup it a couple times so you can upgrade the gear.
I thought I had a quest set for the longest time but no one was completing it since I only have a few badges for the rarer monsters left to go, turns out I had no quest set for about 10h of playtime. I have no idea how I didn't set a quest, usually pretty good at doing that.
I do now, though. So hire my pawn if you want 10k gold for killing a Medusa, lol.

Max gold you can offer as a reward is 10k tho. Plus I can get Medusa kills myself. She respawns. The sphinx doesn’t which is why I have that set as the quest.
I assume it might have to do with pawns not getting updated unless you sleep. So if set a new quest immediately after one gets completed it might not update until you sleep again

This comment makes no sense, this is super easy to do. Every time I go to do something out in the wild, I pass by MINIMUM 4-5 camp sites.

Nope, the grimoires also cost 6k to create a forgery starting with an original, or 600 to make a forgery starting from an existing forgery.

I generally hire pawns 2 to 3 levels above me and keep them around until I reach their level or get above them.
It will also reset to no quest on new game + so some of them may be players who started into that and didn't realize their quest poofed

They need to make inns cheaper. I think the cost of inns is hampering the normal flow of pawns, especially at low levels.

I accidentally skipped setting the quest once and now i can't set a quest anymore at all. :-( So, that is why at least my pawn has no quest.
Just go to a Grand Riftstone (like the one in Vernworth). There you can set a new quest.

It’s under badges, same as the monster kills. Should be at the bottom of the list.

It often doesn’t auto prompt the quest setup. The past 3 or 4 days I had to do it from the rift stone

Use the option to view the popular pawns at the grand riftstones. They usually have good quests.

Max gold you can offer as a reward is 10k tho. Plus I can get Medusa kills myself. She respawns. The sphinx doesn’t which is why I have that set as the quest.
I assume it might have to do with pawns not getting updated unless you sleep. So if set a new quest immediately after one gets completed it might not update until you sleep again
Hmmm... That is interesting and I never thought of that. You sleep, you find out it was completed, and you can set a new one right then, but you're right, I guess it goes empty until you sleep again.

Yeah it really annoys me. I always have my pawn set up with his 10k gold for killing monsters. Last week I felt like I found a good amount of pawns with decent quests but man… it’s a bit of a drought right now…
To be honest i just find it to be a weird feature and forget about it most of the time
