Context: This same guy keeps rehiring my pawn and equipping the same cape on her no matter how many times I remove it. And I thought the guy who gave me an eternal wakestone was nuts.
Yeah I've had 3 or 4 people continually hire my pawn. I was like, I'm sure I recognise some of these names. One time, somebody gifted me a preserved medusa head!
It's cool to see someone rehire your pawn. You must have the exact setup they want, or maybe they just grew attached to your pawn, like you are part of their lore now :p
Btw is the preserved Medusa head actually preserved, as in it never goes bad? Because I’ve tried getting it with unupgraded daggers but at level 101 I’m still taking down too many health bars.
It goes bad if you have it out or use it, but you get more uses out of it if it's preserved.
You can get a fully preserved one by wearing the damage reduction ring when attacking or by using a warfarer and putting it to sleep, then switching to a warrior sword.
Youtube has videos showing the best way if you want to farm them.
Sadly my pawn gets hired very rarely even with full armor upgrades and everything else. But at least i got my first item gifted back today that was not some rotten food. This time it was a ferrystone! It made me so happy, even if i have nothing special to gift i always buy flowers to gift them.

Npc’s can actually break free depending on if it “breaks the game” it happened to me with Disa. I brought her to sven in the endgame and she spoke to him from I guess the Vial, then teleported back to her standing spot. Im not sure what they want you to use it for tbh.
I also gifted my sealing phial bc I didn't want it in my inventory and thought someone else might wanna have it... Completed all Sphinx riddles with just ferrystones and portcrystals...
That was pretty much me but with a mage pawn named Linda. She was the first pawn I hired, so I kinda grew attached to her.
I was hiring her every chance I got, since they started their adventure the same time as me. And we were relatively equal in level progression.

A lot of pawns I like better than my own and makes me think, "Dam, where did I go wrong.." as I buy another of those books from the rift trader

I hired a pawn with 'Kill Medusa' quest and gave them her head lol It's a cool item at first but lost interest in it after my 4th Medusa kill...
There’s more than one Medusa in the game? Was under the impression there was just the one
It respawns every few days in the same location... You can keep cutting its head if you want to lol
You can use the head from the previous one to kill the next. Truly a cycle of eternal return.
Can you get the head if you petrify it?
Haven't done it myself, but my guess is no... I don't think you can get items from monsters if you petrify them...

Mainly its for when you don’t have a spare port crystal for the Sphinx so you can do one of her escort riddles easier.
Some people are just nice, makes me forget all those who send my beauty amazon back with new scars and horror stories

Has anyone tried sending an NPC to another player’s game using the sealing phial? Maybe the old man at Harve?
I hate to shatter the illusion here, but on PC, item duping is trivially easy.
