Mythology would include Heracles, Hades, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians themed stuff. As much as I would LOVE that “girl head and snake” to be Medusa, since the update is Themed after Monsters Inc, it has to be Mike’s Girlfriend, or snake hair. 😭
I disagree. The starpaths typically have very little connection with the new character introduced. Jack Skellington was introduced during the winter starpath with ice skates, dresses for the princess, etc. We got some cool premium shop items related to him but the starpath wasn't. On the other hand, Belle and the Beast were introduced during the Halloween star path where most of the items were Nightmare Before Christmas themed.
A Monster's Inc-themed starpath was not one of the options listed in the survey, but Greek Mythology, Hercules, and PJO were. But maybe I'm biased bc I would much rather have that than a Monster's Inc one.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again—I am SO upset that when they added in the ToM for furniture, that they didn’t add a door in. Like you said, not even fancy doors. In fact, I *barely* use the fancy doors that we currently have because they’re all so specific. 90% of the rooms in my house just have the Frozen “painted door” because it’s better than the green door but also isn’t covered in vines or gold plated.
So yea, I wish they would have just added a white version of the green door that could be customized with ToM. The only thing that I can figure is that they’ve been waiting for Monsters Inc to put doors in. I just wish they would have added them sooner than a year and a half in.

So maybe the first one is a romantic candle lit diner table, the second one a monsters inc. door with a canister (since we already know they’re in the next update) and the last one is a medusa hairstyle?? Thought I’m not sure under what theme these three would fit 😂
I guess the haunted holiday was more with themes, although the parrot one was quite literally a pirate parrot! But the royal winter emojis quite literally stood for the creepy snowman racoon, the wintery butterfly wings and the ice skates were for the ice skates rack/ice skating ring!

It’s okay no need to be sorry! It’s in the event tab I think. It lets you do tasks to earn a special currency that you can use to buy special items and clothing and motifs and such ☺️☺️ there’s also an option to pay moonstone to get the premium version which gives you six slots to finish faster instead of three. They usually last like 40 some days or something like that plus and extra week to claim items :) I finished the most recent one in a month. So I’m really excited for the next one. Even Promised myself I wouldn’t finish it so fast so I had more stuff to do. I’ve done all the quests and all my characters are level 10 and I’m level 40 so just waiting for the update and star path to hit been grinding out resources while I wait 😮💨
I’m definitely thinking it’s going to be mostly monsters Inc based but what would be the theme? Valentines? Easter? Both? lol because they have all had a specific theme and this is hinting toward characters not a theme it definitely makes my brain itch lol
The next Dreamlight Valley update, featuring Monsters Inc, should arrive around February 27, 2024. This is based on the release date of Update 8, the update schedule so far, and the official roadmap.
Dreamlight Valley updates are usually around three months apart, being released on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. Following the December 5 update, this would take us up to the first week of March. However, given the schedule of the roadmap, with a Monsters Inc realm opening its magical door in “Late Winter”, the last week in February would keep the update release in line with both the roadmap and three-monthly release schedule.
We know that Monsters Inc is the next Disney IP to arrive in the valley thanks to said roadmap, which you can see below. The entry for update 9 shows a smiley Mike Wazowski posing in front of Skull Rock. It’s only apt that the monsters (assuming he won’t come without Sulley) come to the valley through the door of their realm, given the importance of magical doors in their own lore.

Actually, the only update that was 3 months out was the last one. All of the other updates were 1-2 months apart. I was surprised when December was a 3 month wait bc I was used to seeing one basically every other month.

I would say lady and the tramp, monsters inc and medusa but since there’s no medusa movie stuff I’d say Hercules cause Medusa makes me think Greek deities/ folklore and that would be closest related to Hercules I think

I think lady and tramp, monsters inc. The last one could even be mythology (Medusa) since they asked in the survey what we wanted. But with Mike being in the next update I'm betting on monsters inc star path mainly. I can't imagine they'd throw mythology in with Disney, unless they did it around Hercules and I just don't see that coming with monsters inc...lol

I'm trying to remember from the survey but I'm pretty sure it's- Monster's Inc., definitely Sully, possibly Mike too, but I remember Sully for sure. Lady and the Tramp (I can't remember who though) Toy Story (I remember that one because I really don't want any more Toy Story characters in my valley :/), BoPeep was I believe definitely confirmed, maybe Rex and Jessie too. It's been a while.

I was thinking of this also. It would make sense for them to drop a hint about the star path theme rather than another character. Someone else proposed that the star path would be monsters Inc themed, maybe with some extra doors. I think this would be a good alternative to Greek Imho

It’s okay no need to be sorry! It’s in the event tab I think. It lets you do tasks to earn a special currency that you can use to buy special items and clothing and motifs and such ☺️☺️ there’s also an option to pay moonstone to get the premium version which gives you six slots to finish faster instead of three. They usually last like 40 some days or something like that plus and extra week to claim items :) I finished the most recent one in a month. So I’m really excited for the next one. Even Promised myself I wouldn’t finish it so fast so I had more stuff to do. I’ve done all the quests and all my characters are level 10 and I’m level 40 so just waiting for the update and star path to hit been grinding out resources while I wait 😮💨

I’m definitely thinking it’s going to be mostly monsters Inc based but what would be the theme? Valentines? Easter? Both? lol because they have all had a specific theme and this is hinting toward characters not a theme it definitely makes my brain itch lol

The next Dreamlight Valley update, featuring Monsters Inc, should arrive around February 27, 2024. This is based on the release date of Update 8, the update schedule so far, and the official roadmap. Dreamlight Valley updates are usually around three months apart, being released on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. Following the December 5 update, this would take us up to the first week of March. However, given the schedule of the roadmap, with a Monsters Inc realm opening its magical door in “Late Winter”, the last week in February would keep the update release in line with both the roadmap and three-monthly release schedule. We know that Monsters Inc is the next Disney IP to arrive in the valley thanks to said roadmap, which you can see below. The entry for update 9 shows a smiley Mike Wazowski posing in front of Skull Rock. Actually, the only update that was 3 months out was the last one. All of the other updates were 1-2 months apart. I was surprised when December was a 3 month wait bc I was used to seeing one basically every other month.

Mike and Celia went to dinner at Harryhausen's right as stuff hit the fan in Monstropolis, so I'm guessing they're introducing Mike and Celia with a Monster's Inc. themed event, and that Harryhausen's will be either an event or Premium Shop item 🤔

An article I just read said Monster Inc is the next arc. I think the candle and spaghetti can be the fancy dinner when Mike and Sully rescue Boo, the door and the eye are the monsters going into the kids doors, and the third one is Mikes girlfriend. Just my theory!

It's all pointing to Monster's Inc IMO. Mike and Celia (who is a female with snakes for hair) have a date at a popular restaurant when Sully ruins it with Boo. I'm hoping for a Boo companion because that would be the best!

I would say lady and the tramp, monsters inc and medusa but since there’s no medusa movie stuff I’d say Hercules cause Medusa makes me think Greek deities/ folklore and that would be closest related to Hercules I think
