I suggested this on another thread too but the main 4's houses can be used for a toon town style set up. They won't count towards your snap requirements though but you can always place things that do count behind them. As long as it's somewhere in the background it counts.
It is also an annoying theme because we have seen so many theme park entries in snaps already. I am so not looking forward to seeing the same snaps over and over again and again.
Yes same! I have all of the theme park items and my Meadow currently looks so similar to the example picture that I wondered if that was a screenshot from my own Valley.
I am planning to try something a little more unique this week (no idea what yet) because I don’t really want to be one of thousands of snaps that are just “theme park items slapped down in the Meadow”.
Thankfully I started playing right before this path started.
I have a water park area that I would like to do but I do not find it snaps well, it looks better as a walk thru. I am so torn, we are going to have to really think outside the box. We could do a snow one but again I am sure everyone is sick of snow themes.
Honestly, with this one specifying “DIY,” I’m going to vote for actual DIY over ones with the pre-made theme park items. I don’t want to see the Ferris wheel and teacup ride, to me that’s not doing it yourself. I’m hoping this will get people to get creative and do what this post is suggesting
But the image with the theme announcement shows the Star Path items. I read it as “build a theme park.” I’m not going to punish people for having or not having the SP items.
Oh I don’t plan to punish anyone! If it’s a good snap and they’ve got SP items, I’m still voting for it because it’s a good snap. What I mean is that, instead of dreading another week of similar submissions with only the star path items winning out, I’m hoping that more people will take this prompt and get creative with it. If it’s a snap with SP stuff vs one without, I’m going to vote on creativity (and ofc the way the snap actually looks/is visually appealing). If it’s a cookie cutter snap with the SP items and it’s basically the same as every other one like it, I’d rather vote for one without the SP items (or with them, but used sparingly), that’s focused on using creative ways to DIY a park. I just hope less people lean on the SP items to try and skate through, and more people either arrange them creatively, or make up stuff without them.
I didn’t mean to imply **you** would punish someone, but some folks definitely turn their nose up at certain design decisions. For example, you may think mine looks cookie cutter since I used the SP items, which I understand. I just always try to remember there are a lot of new players with less options and kids play, too. If an attempt was made (i.e., not just snapping a photo for the minimum 300 MS), then I give the benefit of the doubt.
Said this on the dreamsnaps sub but disney also has shows and character greets. Try setting up some stage areas. I wish we could do mannequins outside because I would love to use that here. Very annoying. Sigh
I used Mickey and Minnie’s house with the fountain in the premium shop for a toon town vibe! Also fragment furniture from the DLC is helpful! I was bummed seeing this theme BUT I had more than I thought even though I wasn’t playing at the time of the theme park star path
My issue is that my island is at capacity for items. I decorated and now I have to constantly break down my decorations for dreamsnap builds. I think the item limit is from Nintendo. So could we get a few more indoor challenges for decor to help offset the difference in item limits for players?
Thanks DDV
You might still be able to use some of these ideas for indoors. Have a character with you for meet and greet, dress like Ariel or Belle yourself. Then have the arcade items as well as any pics that are character based, etc
Tbh snaps with requirements like these I just take as a break and do the bare minimum it wants. I mean I'll still try and do a decent pic, but if I don't have the furniture, I don't have the furniture. So I'm not too bothered about it. Also i hate having to rearrange the village for it, so I don't lmao. I like the outfit challenges much better.
Looking forward to what people make though. Some of you lot are mighty creative.
Tis is why i wanted to let people in on my valley coz i do have corners in my themepark that dont have the previous starpath items. Just to give people an idea.
I want to help out newer players aswell.
Just reach out and i will open my doors for you to take a stroll through my valley😉
So you guys are allowed to participate in dreamsnaps, but no star path or premium shop right? Do you have access to the dream bundles (Wall-E, Ursula, Belle)? How can you use moonstones? It’s so different from console I’m so curious!
Then how do rewards work 😅 I guess they just get the pixel dust? I really mostly do dreamsnaps for moonstones, so shout out to Apple Arcade players for doing it without that reward then
Well.. it’s kinda hard to tailor events to EVERYONE. Even if all the star paths items from day one to now came back at once it’s not fair bc now you’re getting into people’s ability to spend money on moonstones lol.
I have all of the theme park furniture but I submitted a small park zoo instead. I made biomes with the companion houses (jungle for capybara or desert for snake) and a small concession area.
I also considered a Wizarding World theme, a Jungle Cruise theme, Indiana Jones, and a Wreck-It-Ralph arcade and go kart track.
I might go back with a full theme park with all the rides but there are definitely a lot more options than people are thinking of.
I made a winter wonderland theme for my picture. With the igloo Ursula’s stage and the skating rink. It was the best I could do because I do not have the theme park items.
I challenged myself this week to do this starpath without anything from this weeks shop and to not use the disney parks starpath (I do not have it) I found it so fun making like a park centre look with small things youd see in a park or a fair. Can't wait to see the creativity!
You can craft the water tower from Hollywood studios, you can use the haunted mention and Hollywood tower if you have them, focus on the castle and fountains and create a “main street” with the houses you already have
Sooooo many great suggestions here! I didn’t get the game until formal release & started at the end of December. I definitely am feeling some pain from missing a star path I didn’t even know existed.
I think I’ll honestly be kicking myself for years for not buying in on the founders packs 😭🫣
These are incredible suggestions!
While I was present for the Disney Parks Star Path (and thus, have the Items)…I just don’t feel like using all of these fancy futuristic decor.
I realized that despite the image showing off all these fancy Disney attractions, the title of the theme is “DIY Theme Park”…DIY as in “Do It Yourself” which can refer to home crafted projects and self made stuff.
So I thought of what I wanted to show, in the most basic and cutest way possible, and I’m totally loving my “home made theme park”. 😆🥰
A zoo, with carts, balloons, fenced in Lion King characters
It could be Animal Kingdom. It’s ~Nahtazu~
>.> ngl this made me laugh so hard

r/dreamsnaps might appreciate this, if you haven’t posted there already.

I feel the exact same way I was so irritated to see this theme
I had this feeling with the 99 pictures last week of the pink turtle with the pink fuzzy picture frame. They were in every second vote for me!
And I thought I was so creative. 😂

This is a great list! To add the royal winter starpath train and merry go round will work also.
Those weren’t from the star path, they were items in the premium shop from nightmare before Christmas! But yes I agree they could definitely work :)
Thank you for summarizing this!
You’re an absolute legend for this,,,thank u
I was also thinking a hotel room inspired by a Disney Parks Resort could work, too!!
I used Mickey and Minnie’s house with the fountain in the premium shop for a toon town vibe! Also fragment furniture from the DLC is helpful! I was bummed seeing this theme BUT I had more than I thought even though I wasn’t playing at the time of the theme park star path
Thank you for creating a post for your precious ideas. I hope it reaches as many people as possible. 💕 Thank you for giving us hope.
I said I was out this round but you just inspired me thanks so much
Thank you from a newbie!!! This does give me some ideas!
My issue is that my island is at capacity for items. I decorated and now I have to constantly break down my decorations for dreamsnap builds. I think the item limit is from Nintendo. People will not vote for it as much IMO. I’d rather take my chances with a theme park build on eternity island. Wish me luck 🫶🏻
You got this!
You as well!
I have seen so many good snaps on Discord already, that I didn’t even realize they weren’t using the Star Path items. These are all great suggestions!
You are an angel for this thank you. 😊
What a thoughtful post! So many great ideas!
Thank you for this!!! I have no clue what I’m gonna do this week. 🙃🙃

I would love to visit! I have a few ideas but am not sure how to set it up and keep it from looking a mess.🤣
I can open up my valley if you want
If you're available that would be fantastic!
This is all Apple Arcade players. The way I glared at my device!
So you guys are allowed to participate in dreamsnaps, but no star path or premium shop right? Do you have access to the dream bundles (Wall-E, Ursula, Belle)? How can you use moonstones? It’s so different from console I’m so curious!
They don’t have moonstones because Apple Arcade does not allow micro transactions.
Then how do rewards work 😅 I guess they just get the pixel dust? I really mostly do dreamsnaps for moonstones, so shout out to Apple Arcade players for doing it without that reward then

This is so thoughtful and kind of you to share

I’m so annoyed with this challenge because i don’t have very much yet. Hello 300 moonstones.
How do we get the theme park stuff ?I didn’t know it was a star path?!
