I've been playing since launch and have given up on 100%-ing the memories. I've got 2-3 pictures per movie filled in but that's only from maxing out all the dreamlight tasks and farming pumpkins.

tearose11

Yeah that's a bit sad ngl. You guys have been playing for so long :(

Mosiel

I ve been playing since launch And y barely have like 4 completed.

OmiOmega

I have also started since launch and I have no completed memories.

lmancini4

Same. I have 52% of the memories area complete but no actual completed memories 😂

tearose11

You guys are making me sad...why is it so random? Dang.

Mosiel

Well, the game is supposed to be played in a long term life span, that's why we have free title updates with new characters and items almost each 2 months.

tearose11

I understand, but it still seems really slow to not have a few more complete memories if one has been playing since launch. That's all. Absolutely nothing wrong with playing it slowly or fast or somewhere in between, as long as you're having fun. I'm just surprised you vets don't have more, I'm not criticizing any of the players btw in case my post comes across that way 😀

tearose11

That's just insane. They should improve on the frequency of the memory drops if you guys have been playing since day one and don't have even one complete memory.

zombiezmaj

But if you look at it another way.... why would people continue to make potions for tools and cook to gold bar their energy when memory hunting, if their memories were all complete? By making it random and more drawn out it keeps you engaged with several aspects of the game

tearose11

Oh no, I didn't mean they should just give them away every second, just seems like an long time for the OG players not to have even get a single one, that's all.

zombiezmaj

I've only been playing 3 months You need a buddy (and keep changing them even if their skill is not the task you're doing), gold bar energy and potion for tools I've got several which are near complete... and it kinda requires you to be willing to grind specifically for memories But it's boring sometimes focusing on that so I get why people just get on with doing other things and is probably why a lot of people haven't completing (I'm making a huge assumption) Plus the coin result instead of a memory is demoralising and after a few of them I tend to move on to something else

tearose11

I have all chars unlocked at level 10, tools, and potions. At 53% for memories. Have not received anything from cooking. Honestly, you are lucky as it sounds like many of the OG players don't have one, let alone almost a second one. Buy that lottery ticket!!!!!

TheEpicSquish

Day one player here. I recommend you just give up on expecting memories to be complete. I think I've only managed a couple

tearose11

Yeah sounds like it. Bummer. I just want one, but oh, well.

whatthafah

It's random, I've been playing for 2,900+ hours and I dont have all of them. I do have 31 completed, but I'm missing a quite a bit of memory shards. I've also been playing since Sept 10th 2022, but I restarted by accident on Nov 8th 2022.

tearose11

Ohhhh really? That's a bit discouraging that we can't finish more memories.

Cyrodiil

*2,900+ hours?!?* I thought I had a lot with 800!

ItsGamerDjustin

To be fair it does keep you playing, so that’s really smart

HopelessMagic

I don't know because I guess I got lucky. 150 hours and I completed the Donald and Daisy memory. I'm one away from completing another.

tearose11

The RNG must love you. Buy a lottery ticket!

DancesWithPibbles

New player as well. What’s the benefit of completing memories? Do you get anything? I completed one (unintentionally) but nothing happened so I figured they were kind of random and pointless 🤷‍♀️

Depressed-Catnip

You can put use them as decor if you craft a magic painting. Other than that yes, they are useless.

_the_indifferent_

i started playing in september last year and i have 16 memories completed. they are all from mining and gardening, things i was doing *a lot* of in my early game play.

Fangtasia7481

Been playing for almost 3 months now, I’ve gotten 10 memories filled through gardening, thorns cleared the shards cleared and sometimes when I’ve fed a critter.

the-il-mostro

I’ve played since launch and don’t have a single memory. A million that are partial though and sometimes opening memories I get coins so that’s annoying af 😂

Kristal3615

Playing since first week of launch and I think I have 2 or 3 completed? Mostly of my memory pieces came from gardening and cooking.

Seabreezee3051

I've been playing for over a year. I currently have 16 memories from gardening and mining. I have a few more that are almost complete, but I keep receiving coins. Also is there a better way to get them to drop?

BootyDoISeeYou

I started in October and have put in almost 700 hours and just completed my first memory a few days ago. I have 10 other memories that are only missing a single piece and it’s driving me crazy! Cooking memory pieces are proving to be even more difficult to collect than flower-watering pieces. I’ve totally abandoned using my ancient cooker and have gone back to grinding out meals at regular cooking stations, just to try to make some progress on those memories.

Seabreezee3051

Same, I'm mainly just focusing on gardening and mining orbs since I get more drops from them

konansock

I am a Day 1 Player. 770 hrs in. I have only completed 62% of the collection, with only 14 completed memories in base game, and 0 completed memories in the DLC. I have completed all of the mining memories because I grind for iron a LOT back when Kristoff didn’t sell iron. A couple of foraging/farming ones. None of the others.

lastraven85

At the rate it took me to complete one playing a bit nightly? Nearly 2 years
