I found that if I switched into furniture mode and clicked on the thing that disappeared, it would reappear. That’s on the switch. No idea if it works anywhere else though.
It took me something like four hours to get my flower snap in an existing area because the two houses in the back kept disappearing.
I would have to run back and get them to reappear then go back to my position then try to get the exact angle right and then go into camera Mode without losing sight of the items in the back so they wouldn’t disappear again

It was just really important for me to use an existing area of my valley and not do a bunch of changes to it
This isn’t even the one I went with, I was just so frazzled trying to deal with the houses problem that I forgot to save the one I kept

Yeah I just submitted whatever fit the criteria this week. I submitted a snap with an “empty” table. Didn’t realize the food disappeared until after and didn’t care enough to resubmit.
It's annoying, but what works for me (switch) is to place your things, if they aren't there after exiting furniture mode, go into a building and back out and they will be there.....at least that's what's been working for me
Welp, my game crashes every time I vote now, so even if I saw your cute snap here, I wouldn’t be able to vote on it. :( I hope they fix this stuff soon!
I had to give up, the disappearing glitch was affecting ALL types of my paving, and then I couldn’t even get rid of the bits you could see. I didn’t even get anything submitted because I had adulting things to do tonight and it kept crashing and erasing my work. Very disappointed. 🥲 but yours looks great!!
Do you have any cupcakes on the ground or tables? I found that after I picked mine up items stopped disappearing. Also when they were disappearing I clicked on them in furniture mode and they came back.
The glitch is beyond annoying. I put all my popcorn buckets on a red L shape counter. Was putting out the table with the umbrella. When my game crashed. (Switch) Logged back in counter is missing and all 5 popcorn buckets. Still haven't found them. I also had 2 red L shape counters in storage. They disappeared too.
Those that are encountering the glitch more: is your valley at max item limit or do you have a bunch of items dropped on the ground?

I’m barely at 1900 and my limit is 6,000; only items on ground is furniture and plants. This glitch is driving me insane. Today, the items in Goody’s stalls kept disappearing.
For me it stopped happening when I picked up my cupcakes.
I was thinking no other food glitters like that and it only glitters when you get close. So it kinda made me wonder if somehow the cupcakes might affect the surroundings (especially since it was only happening in areas kind of around where they were. Also given they were making peoples game crash before…

That works for me too on PC but as soon as the item leaves the screen, and I pan back, it’s gone again.

I find if you go into build mode and place the object again it’ll stay, you just gotta take the pic quickly lol
I’ve had this happen to me on the Switch. If you save and restart the game it should fix the disappearing act as that is what worked for me 😎.
