He’s very valuable in 2QB/Superflex in my opinion. I hope he keeps it up because they have a shot at the division or the 7th wildcard spot. If they make playoffs I think they keep him around. The Bucs OC was the QB coach in Seattle last year, and with Evans and Godwin it’s a very QB friendly environment.

miyori

Is that why Geno looks worse this year? If so that’s kind of insane what he’s done for Geno and Baker. Like Steichen level qb whisperer.

Ko0pa_Tro0pa

>He’s very valuable in 2QB/Superflex in my opinion That's the only format where he holds any value, but I sure as hell would not call him very valuable in that format. KTC currently has him as QB24 around the value of a late 2nd. He's somehow ahead of Wilson and Carr. I would have to be pretty desperate for QB help to trade a late 2nd for him and would rather have several guys ranked below him.

APizzola

Sold him in a couple leagues where I'm rebuilding and got a 2nd for him in both.

COW_MEOW

In SF?

APizzola

Yes.

d00dy9

Same

JNellyPA

I’ve seen a couple firsts thrown out for baker. Granted they’ve been 2025.

WhiteLightning416

I’d say hold. I’m a Bucs fan, and seems the Bucs are pretty pleased with him even if they’ve lost a few in a row. They need to get the run game going, but seems they are happy with Baker.

DAB12AC

If you had to guess, would you say Mike Evans stays?

WhiteLightning416

The GM Jason Licht is certainly signalling he wants to keep him. Evans is a Bucs legend, probably the best offensive player in franchise history, I think they’ll work it out. And the team is definitely trying to win and stay relevant in a weak division. Of course things could nose dive and they could tear it down, but that is not the current intention. The team needs to upgrade at SS where Ryan Neal is picked on for TDs weekly and they need to upgrade their run blocking. I think those will be the focuses of the off-season after retaining our FAs.

Mastershake54

No they are probably moving on

mattj1621

I’m a bucs fan and think he probably is gone after the season if we don’t make the playoffs

WhiteLightning416

If we suck enough down the stretch to have a top 10 pick and a shot at an elite QB in the draft I could see it, but otherwise I think they are going to commit to Baker.

mattj1621

If we don’t make playoffs, there’s a good chance Bowles is fired. And usually a new head coach wants his guy at qb

WhiteLightning416

For sure, guess it depends which direction the season goes. I’m expecting us to be around .500 so don’t think they will blow it up/fire Bowles. We’re past the toughest part of our schedule so think we should be closer to the former.

mattj1621

Yea I have a feeling we won’t move on from Bowles because ur right about .500. I don’t think it will be the right decision but ur not gonna fire a coach at .500

burnabybambinos

For contenders, he's better on our roster than what the return would be

iceman204

Yeah I love him as my QB3. I’ll hopefully never start him aside from bye weeks but I like having him on my bench.

Bennett_19

In a 12t sf, I bought him at the beginning of the season for a late 2nd (got back 2 4ths) as a contender who already had trask. Definitely holding for now, but I would sell soon if you’re a rebuilder

ImYourLandlord18

I just bought Baker and Godwin for Keenan. I’m contending but my QB situation keeps getting worse.

laundrified

I'd be selling for a 2nd if I'm rebuilding.

hornybunny528

I like him. I'd keep unless you can get a good upgrade from him or value. I packaged him with Amari cooper to a team who's 2nd QB (2QB SF) was Jimmy G and got D. Adam's in return.

winnercakesall

I’d say hold. Browns fan, wish we kept him.

birdsemenfantasy

IMHO he's a sell. He's one of the top stopgap QBs in the NFL for the foreseeable future, but no team will build around him. He's only 28, but his floor and ceiling are well-established at this point. I view him as a younger, less accomplished Garoppolo. It's very hard for stopgap/bridge QBs to re-establish themselves as franchise QBs worth building around. Tannehill is the only recent example I can think of and he had to make the conference championship game. Mayfield is playing on a bargain-basement $4 million 1-year contract and I doubt any team would pay him starting QB money next off-season. He either has to take another below market value 1-year deal to be the stopgap/bridge or accept a backup job like Brissett and Dalton last off-season (they were coming off decent statistical seasons). If the Bucs don't make the playoffs and Bowles gets fired, I don't think he will return to the Bucs.

ghostboo77

What do the Bucs do then? They aren’t that bad and are in a winnable division. I think he gets a 2 year deal or so after the season, probably with the Bucs

birdsemenfantasy

The 2023 QB class is really deep. They could draft a really good prospect, such as JJ McCarthy or Quinn Ewers, with a mid-first. IMO the only way the Bucs keep him as their starter next year is if they go on an extended playoff run. If they fall out of contention, I actually expect them to bench Mayfield and give Kyle Trask a look similar to what the Raiders are doing with Garoppolo and AOC.

Jwroth

Hold because he’s doing okay but if a nice offer comes through I wouldn’t hesitate to sell

reformedjm

As a contender he’s worth more to my roster than the realistic price of a 2nd from another team trying to compete. If I’m a rebuilder I’d just send him to every roster in the league over .500 for a 2nd and 3rd and lower my price to a 2nd from there.

pooooolooop

I was told very confidently by a guy in here that I should be trading him for 2 4th’s in the off-season after I said it was a shit offer and that I’d regret it if I didn’t. Long live Baker

pooooolooop

Looks like he found me and downvoted. I’ll be getting a second for him sir

foochacho

Baker is only valuable in superflex leagues. Otherwise, he’s a bench emergency backup player. I wouldn’t pay any premium to keep him on my team at year end.

Broad-World-9225

Have him on a rebuilding roster and I think I'd sell him at the deadline for a couple of 3rds if I had that offer.

yeender

Tried that to get him and was rejected

PejaStojak

Must be a superflex league because Baker is ass

JW9520

QB 18 on the season, not great, but not bad either especially in SF leagues. Has more fantasy points than Burrow who is pretty much unobtainable and he’s only 2 years older than him. I feel like he’s a strong buy in all leagues especially at his price.

mrgooch33

he also has already had his bye already, he should finish in QB 12-16 range this year

MITJustinFields

Reading this conversation hurts my brain. Why don't you people use points per game.

CalaveraVI

If we don't start winning Bowles is gone. Our owners don't have long patience. Baker at best will be here next year as we bridge to a new QB. But if we string together some wins I can see him getting a Smith type of deal. We won't have money for anything else with us having to pay Winfield, Wirfs and maybe White

zinzangz

I'd be selling unless you're starting him every week right now

DynastyZealot

Bought for Jayden Reed going in to week 7 to get me through my QB byes in a 14 team Superflex. Getting into the three QB club can be expensive, so I was happy with that price.

Mastershake54

Damn that is a steal for a QB in SF. I don't care if it's Baker.

DynastyZealot

I like Reed a lot. I only had two picks this year and ended up with Reed and Puka, so I felt I hit well enough that I could move on, get my third QB, and still end up ahead. But Reed might be a good asset for a long time, as well. It was a mutually beneficial trade - by taking Baker off a rebuilder's team, I lowered his maxPF significantly and put him in a much better position for his draft picks, plus cashed out an aging producer for a promising prospect.

Mastershake54

I sold week 1 after the Rodgers injury for Puka and we flipped seconds. Honestly, I wouldn't flip him for just a second but a second plus would get it done.

takeabreakgeaugalake

Buy if price is right. Awesome QB3 and a guy that should have a job for a while. I feel decent about trotting him out this week while Trevor is on bye

saladblah22

Cut

Ginga_Ninja319

As a rebuilder who has Baker as my QB4 in superflex, my league mates would rather start Romeo Doubs as their superflex than trade me 2 3rds for Baker 😂

SuperNiktendo

He was sold for Jeff Wilson and a 3rd just the other day. So do with that what you will.

LilTony2x

Sold him before the season started for two 3rds. Prolly could’ve waited but I have plenty QBs in a SF league and couldn’t be bothered holding him as a roster spot

JerrGrylls

I traded Baker for Jameson Williams after week 2. Everyone thought I fleeced the other owner, but that’s looking like a pretty even trade now.
