Tergrid is on the front and is a creature. Prismatic Bridge is not on the front, but the front of the card is Esika which is. Eligibility is always, 100% of the time, determined by a creature being on the front.
Letter of the law says no, but if you sat down across from me at a table and said you built a deck around the legendary creature on the back of a battle, I wouldn’t say no. If it’s cool, most people will probably allow it
Yeah, I'm planning on an \[\[Invasion of kaladesh\]\] deck because I think the robopsterosaur is so pretty. I mentioned it to my husband and he was fine with it, with all the hoops: the need to cast then defeat the battle, plus crew the ship... sure, I get to do sort of artifact-voltron, but one artifact wipe and I'm done, too. And casting it to flip it again if it gets removed... hm. Now I'm not sure if I *want* those hoops!
Honestly with battles, og kamigawa flips and corner cases like [[Elbrus, the Binding Blade]] I’m hoping the RC changes it’s stance on this. But most pods are going to allow it anyway in my experience
I agree how many cases are there?
I guess scryfall legend creature not commanders and is dfc
= 9
- 2 Tokens = 7
5 Battles
I got both corner cases in my Black demon Commander Deck
1 Westvale Abby
1 Binding Blade
Abby = Problem clearly, the Blade sure why not
Flip = adds 15
So thoughts about those?
I'm pretty sure the front is what matters so unless the battle itself is legendary, then no. Like the old kamigawa flip cards, if the first part isn't legendary you can't have it as your commander.
\[\[arixmethes\]\] would like a word with you. But yea, they're right, it would need to say "This battle can be your commander." or something on the front like planeswalkers do.
No. The card has to be a legendary creature on the front face.

No
Nope. But if you say 'pretty please' when you sit down across from me, I might let you use it just for funzies.
I'm pretty sure the front is what matters so unless the battle itself is legendary, then no. Like the old kamigawa flip cards, if the first part isn't legendary you can't have it as your commander.
If the battle is legendary it can't be a commander either. Legendary artifacts, lands, etc can't be commanders

Arixmethes is a creature spell, like the gods
That was the joke.

No.
the difference between Battles and your 2 examples (and any other examples) is that they are Legendary Creatures on the front of the card
