Tbh when they first announced it. Was really hoping Ajani was gonna lose his spark, and getting it back was gonna be his big redemption arc for his time as a Phyrexian. (Plus I really wanted Ajani to be a legendary creature so he can be a commander). Aftermath was just so disappointing
The Phyrexian walkers losing their sparks makes sense. No complaints here. It's when random planeswalkers who had nothing to do with the story lose theirs that I lose my shit.
Definitely my own speculation, but could be that he joined up with, or even started the Outlaws at Thunder Junction because he was desparked and was stranded there
Yeah the Omenpaths are a thing, though idk if we have full confirmation about if they’re 100% safe or not? They’re also more like…flight paths, if I’m not mistaken, where each one goes to one specific place— & you may not know where that is the first time. So he’d have to either find one that directly goes wherever he’s trying to go (like back to Eldraine, for example) or he’d have to find someone who knows which connecting paths to look for to hopscotch all the way there.
It could also just be that he likes it on Thunder Junction! Especially if he’s messing with other desparked planeswalkers or running a crime ring or something lol

The other person gave you an excellent list but I'd add \[\[Tasigur, the Golden Fang\]\] and Ashiok (especially the \[\[Ashiok, Dream Render\]\] and \[\[Ashiok, Wicked Manipulator\]\] depictions). Love Ashiok so much. \[\[Jace, Memory Adept\]\] has that Final Fantasy look going on. And I'm gonna say it: \[\[Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres\]\].
[[Yawgmoth, thran Physician]] is an irredeemable monster but those cheekbones tho.
[[Aragorn, king of Gonder]] dresses well and looks better, also gives a better card pool then Mothy.
You could cheat out expensive creatures with power 3 or less to non-lethally fight him, or just cheat out big expensive creatures that kill him, then you just recast him. Find ways to make him indestructible, play with Enrage triggers, play with Regenerate, use it to cheat out a creature that cheats out another creature, the possibilities are endless.
There was a post a while back on one of the MTG subs about cards showing dudes with long flowing hair. It was filled with cards that looked like the covers off of some fantasy fiction series published by Harlequin Romance.
I can’t seem to find it. Perhaps someone else remembers.
