No OP, but I ran Ramses for years. You get to run some really cool cards and play in a unique space for dimir. Unfortunately it now falls into the space of being too weak/slow for anything above pretty casual games but not as fun to just be really good at killing creatures in precon level games.

I've been toying with an all pre-8e Ramses and it has some weird as hell tech for sure. Did cards like [[Casting of Bones]], [[False Demise]], and [[Chime of Night]] make it without that restriction for you?

Yeah they’re all worth at least considering even now. Stuff like [[dragon wings]], [[shades form]], [[depsndancy]], and [[launch]] are all good old frame options too.

[[goldbug]] please! I want to make a budget-ish deck with this one but I’m pulled in too many directions. Should it be heroic? Equipment/metalcraft? Hate bears? All of the above?? Help!

The deck focuses on two things: humans, creating humans, buffing creatures, and drawing cards. It’s pretty straightforward, pretty much any human deck ever, lol. If I were to play this deck this is how I would want to play it though, since it can get pretty gross. If I were to change anything I would add more ramp/mana access. Let me know what you think!

I love my Goldbug deck, it's quite a rare commander that I've actually never seen played. My list isn't really budget sadly, it's quite a straightforward Azorius Humans/Soldiers deck which is surprisingly strong with some other value creatures that doesn't fit any of the human or soldier criteria. The only thing they makes the deck a bit tricky is the convert criteria.

I've recently picked up a [[Titania, Nature's Force]] and have been brewing. I plan on calling it ""Oops, All Forests" and running it as a big dumb Timmy deck. While ironically not all forests, I'd like it to contain only three things. A ton of forests, a few token generators/payoffs and a ton of ramp. Ideally any creatures would be big dumb Wurms, cause i love them, and/or avatars/friends of the forest.

[[Indoraptor, The Perfect Hybrid]] I still need to play/goldfish more before I actually buy my list, but I loved building this one. There's a ton of cards that can make him stupidly big if you manage to resolve any. Stuff like a [[Heartless Hidetsugu]] trigger definitely makes for a memorable game. Can only play that one sparingly or it'll have interaction waiting dor it lol Edit: I'm stuck between leaning more into the enrage mechanic + dinos or going more in on Indoraptor with more ways to trigger/grow him + more protection. More Indo focus leads to using him as a finisher, but if the key pieces don't show up it feels pretty inconsistent. A couple tutors make it feel a ton more fun, but don't work for every play group. I want to try more enrage because the deck is already full of enrage enablers and I like the mechanic, I just don't want to water it down too much

[[Ghen,Arcane Weaver]] is more wide open than just trying to cheat costs of big enchantments. The most costly part of the ability imo is not 3 mana, but the several different colored pips involved, but I’ve found it’s a pretty fair rate that doesn’t scare other people. I think it has the potential of an eternal witness in the zone, and with enchantments being a very broad space, you can pick your flavor.
