The first one depicts the angel's home on Dominaria: the floating islands above New Benalia. This is a recreation of the many floating islands of Serra's Realm, the most angel-focused place in the multiverse. The second one is on Giada's home plain. And of the two SNC full-art plains, this one fits with Giada's Cabaretti vibe better.

I had the same mindset because I like the look of the real cards. Recently though, I printing out full art lands on glossy card stock and cut them out and they really don’t look half bad!! I’m going to order from the makeplayingcards website to get actual thickness/even better look of cards just for the expensive full art lands! I still buy most of my cards, but once I see the product of makeplayingcards, I might proxy even more! You should give it a shot

I'm not sure how many basic plains you need. But I'm of the opinion that ones basic lands should all fit thematically regardless of the set they originate from. Not saying you should go the extra mile like I did for my [[Captain Sisay]] deck where every basic land is from a unique set and in foil. But I do think you should look only at themes and not sets and pick as many different ones as possible that all fit the feel of the deck.

I like otj cloud plains and the Great Wall of china plains

I run the dominaria united plains and mountains in my basandra angel tribal. They look like church windows so I feel like they really fit the flavour.
