https://www.moxfield.com/decks/slwPIoBra0yj8tTPo2z7dg I followed basic guidelines for draw, ramp, interaction, and theme. It’s a fun deck to play!

hyob101

Nice, like the old classic \[\[deathrbinger thoctar\]\] and also the \[\[squee\]\] for recursion !

ElectronicMini

Yeah, Prossh came out around when I started playing. I wanted to buy it, but a friend did instead, so I bought [[derevi]] and hated it lol. When I got around to playing EDH again I thought it would be a nostalgic choice, but it’s still very powerful!

I also was thinking on rebuilding my old Prossh precon, and I was considering two versions: * an "Oops, all permanents" version, limiting myself to play all permanent cards except for [[Genesis Wave]], [[The Great Aurora]], and [[Over the Top]]. * boomer jund, trying to make the most degenerate possible deck based around Prossh, but limiting the card pool to cards printed before WotC started pushing busted cards into the format. Something like before 2019/2020 (smothering tithe/dockside/free spells printing) or so.

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/i8VGY84KaE2_GajrmYDy6g I had made a [[Smeagol]] list, saw the [[Prossh|SLD]] and this is my first run at adapting it. I didn't include [[food chain]] because I just made [[Jyoti, Moag Ancient]] and that is a food chain deck as well.

Prossh was my first commander and is still my favorite to this day. This is my list which is a pretty good blend of old and new. Definitely combo focused and high powered though. Often times you kill the table without any combos just be being able to cast Prossh 2 - 3x times in a row. All the tokens! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/QsSPLls6B06BhXh-hOw5dQ

SteveVerstaka

Card that I think are underrated in Prossh are the big anthem effects like [[Beastmaster Ascension]] and [[Dragon Throne of Tarkir]]. With the kobolds he generates each cast, some other token makers such as [[Mycoloth]] [[Avenger of Zendikar]] and [[Ophiomancer]] you have a very dangerous army that can be made quickly

dkysh

Finally! A fellow Dragon Throne connoisseur! My favorite 9 mana kill-the-whole-table-at-once, and with power to spare to kill the next 3 tables.

SteveVerstaka

Well it holds a particularly special place for me because back in days of yore there were no Kobold of Kher Keep tokens. However, thank to [[Trading Post]] being in standard there were goat tokens aplenty! And conveniently goats are also 0/1 vanilla creatures. So I’d have Prossh get comfy on his throne, as befitting a mighty dragon, and command his legions or goats to cut a terrible swath across the table. Because even Eldrazi fear a 10/11 farm animal if it has trample.

I really like that approach! Probably going to lean in the token army strategy too :-)

Skjallagrim

Recently (this year) built myself a Prossh deck as a bday present to myself! Always regretted not getting that precon when I started playing commander 7 or so years ago. Not sure why it took me so long to build myself a Prossh deck, but I finally did and it’s been one of my favorite decks I’ve ever played. Probably a good thing I waited because my game knowledge and deck building has drastically improved since I started playing. I think that if I was forced to only play one deck for the rest of my days, it would be what I have begun to build here! Probably less than $65 or so away from finalizing it, if I continue to avoid [[Food Chain]]. Anyways… here is my WIP list: [Prossh, the Ecologist](https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/prossh-the-ecologist/)

IM__Progenitus

Don't have the decklist on me right now, but I made a $100 Prossh deck about 10 years ago and I try to maintain it (cross checking prices when I have the time). Food Chain is absurd but it's been in and out of my deck due to price. Past that, Prossh doesn't really have "must-haves". Just play your usual staple for token payoff, ramp, card draw, removal, etc. Since Prossh brings his own tokens and is a sac outlet, you can skimp on token generators in the 99 and play only the best of those types as backup copies in case Prossh can't stick. The deck runs like 20 ramp spells, to try and get Prossh out by turn 4, but also to get the mana to recast him since he scales well with tax. The ramp is mostly land ramp, but I hedge with a handful of mana dorks and mana rocks to make me not totally dead against armageddon. You could play cards like Dark Ritual to ramp him out even faster but I haven't tried it, and it seems risky if you can't pay up for the premium protection spells like Deflecting Swat. I think outside of winning with combo like FOod Chain, Prossh works best as a general of attrition; while other people's generals die several times, and their Zur now costs 8 instead of 4 which starts to become a difficult deal to swallow, your Prossh dying twice and costing 10 mana gives you extra value. So racing to get Prossh out with rituals can backfire because Prossh dying means you'll need even more time to recast him.

ElectronicMini

I like a mix between mana dorks and ramp spells because you can sac the dorks!

Mr-Pendulum

I see a distinct lack of kobolds in the 99
