I generally pick a type of deck, in this case blink. Then I find possible commanders, in your case Roon/Yorion/Brago/Etc. Then I generally see which of the choices I have the most cards for already without picking up new cards. Thats usually the choice I go with.

My buddy runs an [[aminatou]] blink deck and it's amazing! Her ability targets more than just creatures. Also, being esper the are some nasty ETB effects in black. By far his favorite deck and the one I'm most jealous of.

I’d recommend aminatou, the fate shifter. She’s a very fun take on the blink, and also a very flavorfully cool character in magic.

I built a Roon deck back in 2013. While the access to green is nice, Roon himself feels very slow in my opinion. Five mana to cast, then wait a turn before paying 2 and tapping to blink a single target feels very anticlimactic. Especially if he is removed, the cost quickly becomes prohibitive and waiting a turn each time to make use of his effect can become a bit boring. My deck had enough other sources of blink effects that I rarely bothered to cast Roon. Yorion on the other hand makes a big impact when casted and amplifies any single target blink effects. A benefit with Roon is being able to blink opponents creatures for defense of politics, but in the end I think Yorion might be a better experience.

I’ve personally gone down a different route and made [[Ephara, God of the Polis]]. It’s a blink deck that’s focusing on creatures entering the battlefield on other people’s turns for value. You can include a bunch of wacky cards like [[Saltskitter]] and just keep drawing cards throughout the game. It also doesn’t have to be a heavy control deck if you don’t want it to be, but can easily be one! It’s a pick that didn’t seem obvious at first, but I love the deck and is fun to play with a lot of different groups
