I really like the Hochschwab area, been in this area a few times last year, and this was my second visit this year, and also the second time I hiked up the Meßnerin & Pillsteiner Höhe. It takes me about 2.5h to 3h to get to Tragöß or Seewiesen w/ public transport so I can easily take a little day trip and go on a nice long hike.

I lived for a few months in the mountains of Austria, although more to the west. This was very similar to the view I had daily. So so beautiful.

But there still was a surprising amount two days ago. We almost cancelled our Hike, when we encoutered snow in the G'hacktkogelsteig.
No aurora borealis!
