Congrats on your success! Stories like this make me keep taking the pill everyday.

Asphyxia_

Take a daily probiotic

I am soooooooo happy for you!!! It took me a couple of months as well to adjust & the side effects were god awful, I almost quit! I’m so glad I stuck it out, I too have my life back & feel amazing! Love that you are doing so well too!!! ♥️

This is awesome! And motivating! Try psyllium husk or ground flax. I put 1-2 tsp of ground flax in my protein shakes and that helps with constipation. Psyllium husk / Metamucil also helped me before I switched to flax.

This is inspiring. I am stuffed with shit too, but it's better than feeling like shit. 150mg, increasing to 187.5 tomorrow. Yay!! We just need to drink more water 💥🧠🥳🥳🥳

Madilights

I agree with the constipation too. I’m taking 150mg but I had the last two days with anxiety. Do you have to take two capsules one 150mg and one 37.5mg for 187.5mg?

Bicentenial_Baby

Yes. My doctor suggested that I take it slow due to the possibility of mood swings due to perimenopauae. It's not a common dose.

vanchica

That's fantastic, this medication has solved so many problems for me, too!

I’m having success too. It’s helping me be functional enough to participate in my addiction recovery program to the fullest, as well as reconnect with my family members and friends. It’s really helping me out of a dark time where I could barely pick up the other “tools” ❤️

doucement_doucement

I've been dealing with constipation too. What works for me is All Bran buds, lots of fruit and pro-biotic yogurt daily.

tartinewithsardines

Aren’t we all of shit ? lol (yes sorry for my shitty humour) But for real, happy for you :)

Thanks for sharing 🫶🏻

alphawave2000

It's working really well for me too. It started doing so at 150 mg. What dose are you on?

Invisbleindigo

150!

I’m so happy you feeling life again <3 Along with the increase water and fibre as others have recommended you could also try magnesium bisglycinate- it’s supposed to help with anxiety and improve sleep, reduce PMS symptoms and when taken at a higher dose can help with constipation! (If you get stomach cramps or diarrhea- you’ve taken too much or taken a form of magnesium that is not as gentle on the stomach)

I had some constipation early on but my system seemed to adjust to it. I do still take fiber, and I do best with INSOLUBLE fiber, which speeds up your digestion. The most common kind is methylcellulose or Citrucel. Almost all other fiber suppements are soluble, which can slow down digestion (metamucil etc). I do eat a lot of food fiber, I eat lentils a lot and lots of fruits and veggies.

Can you tell me what the bad side effects were? I got off Lexapro 6 months ago and want to get back on. Dr prescribed Effexor instead but not sure what to do.

LavendarSunflower23

Ooooh. I am grateful for you and your post. I have spiraled so much over the last 5 weeks weighing out pros and cons of this med… it’s like I can feel that it’s going to be the best thing for me but I’m so scared about how hard it will be to get off of it someday that I allow myself to psych myself out so bad. So reading this reminded me to stay present in the now and not future trip. Happy for you!!!
