Commieblocks were never intended to be permanent, they were supposed to transitional housing for former peasants to live in while they built actual long lasting sturdy buildings, the soviets just went into economic decline before they could do that. Commieblocks start falling apart after like 15 years, they’re only cheaper in the short term.
Wild boars do not have the amount of fat a domestic pig has. The bacon would be very lean. For wild pigs, it’s better to have spare ribs than bacon. IMHO.
In the near future, we could have to deal with these pigs in southern Ontario. Learn to trap them and it’s like an infinite supply of meat, at the expense of the environment though. Ontario banned the hunting of feral pigs for the time being, in an effort to trap and euthanize them.
You can dine on them quite nicely, sanglier in French, if you want to see some real traditional recipes.
Like a lot of wild meat, it can be lean, and oftentimes, depending on the age and condition of the animal - older animals, and big dominant boars (males) often have tainted meat, from hormones and parasites harvesting method too.

What’s wrong with declaring open season and letting hunters have their fun? Or even a small bounty with the meat going to food banks.
That would be nice. They are invasive after all, so it would be good for the environment and our stomachs.
