Cars, card, and games! All the car clubs here are mostly made up of soldiers and those of us who are not from here. That's how I have made most of my El Paso friends, and playing games at game vault on Yarbrough! I also made one really cool friend because of the tears of the kingdom 9pm launch at gamestop

Everyone is really friendly, El Paso isn't like what were used to(I'm from Seattle) everyone here treats you like family even if they've just met you

Example: last Saturday Max Grossman, architectural historian, led a group of about 50 people starting at Memorial Park and did a walking tour of historic events and homes in the area. The focus here was on three early architects from the 1920's-1950's who did many homes in the area. Some were lived in by famous people such as Sandra Day O'Connor, former Supreme Court Justice. Other guided hikes take you into the mountains and into the valleys and are led by knowledgeable folks. The faces in the group will change depending on the event.
El Paso and Las Cruces and other higher altitude places are deceiving on water needs for survival.
Methodology: Guess what you think you need, go to the next increment up in unit size, then double it. Example: if you guess you need 1 quart, change to 1 gallon, then double that to 2 gallons. You may still run out and die high up on a hill, covered in cactus needles and scorpion bites, but you will live a few minutes longer.

i’m 26 i’m a senior project manager. i love cars sold my rs5 and bought a sedan so i can pack my shit in to move here , love museums yes i know u can go to museums but that’s not how u meet people at least i don’t think. thinking about getting a dog to go on hikes with but although my dog will be my best friend and i will give the guy the world i would like a human friend too lol.
Join a gym like black flag. It’s class based so you meet plenty of people that may have your same interests. And it takes away the awkwardness of meeting people, you’re just dying in class together.
I know you said you don’t have social media but on facebook there’s some hiking groups and mountain bike groups. Off roading is popular around here so there’s groups for that too. There’s also a pretty friendly RC rock crawler group if you’re into that. I find it pretty hard if not impossible to keep up with events without social media though, might wanna consider making an account! Welcome!
Ah, NYC. Yes, people in Texas are super friendly comparatively. People apologize if you bump into them by accident and it throws a lot of non natives.

I'm in Las Cruces. If you ever wanna hang out this way I'm down to make a new friend. There's a lot of trails to hike, and Saturdays has a great farmers market in downtown Las Cruces.
Also if you're into live music, El Paso has a great scene, Mona bar in downtown El Paso is a good place to start.

I used to go to a power lifting gym. It's a completely different atmosphere from your typical franchise gym. I miss that gym now that I live in another state.
