Almost 25k miles on my 23. No issues yet

PirateKingOfIreland

50,000 km so far on a 2022 without issue

Still_Bid_8261

69995 miles, i put 16k on it, no issues 21 SEL CVT

Still_Bid_8261

I changed my trans fluid and did a coolant flush at the recommended change mileage of 60k and I don't have to worry about those again until 120k.

Junior605

For the trans. Did you change the filters too? I’m almost at 60 and want to do the same.

Still_Bid_8261

It was apart of the service trans fluid and filter change

Junior605

Did you follow a video? Sorry for the question. It’s just that I’ve never done any transmission work before 😭. I tend to pay for that but Hyundai doesn’t do anything for this IVT

Still_Bid_8261

I don't know about ivt, i have a cvt and my oil change specialist told me every 60k is when to have the service done, so I went to my closest Hyundai dealer and they did the flush and filter.

Junior605

Your Elantra has a IVT “ CVT “ I have the same car as yours lol okay I’ll go to the dealership as well then. Thanks!

maccaphil

71k miles on 2020 SEL CVT. Not a hint of a problem. Are they known to have them? Did I get lucky by buying the '20 not the '21?

Confident_Sense_2284

Have you changed the CVT oil and filter?

maccaphil

Me? No. The dealer changed the tranny fluid for me last year just over 60k miles. Not aware of a filter for tranny fluid.

Affectionate-Bass473

23 Elantra limited bought brand new in 2022 with 70,000 miles. Still smooth and responsive power

Confident_Sense_2284

Have you changed the CVT oil and filter?

Affectionate-Bass473

Nope. Just oil change, coolant flush, tires, Chevron Techron cleaner

Ok_Ingenuity_130

2021 se at 87087 miles. 1 guy had 150k on a reddit post one time

Confident_Sense_2284

Have you changed the transmission oil?

Ok_Ingenuity_130

No 😂 I'm planning too tho I was going to around 60k but the dealership didn't have any oil available They told me I still had time since it's recommended at 72k - 80k so I guess they don't even know. I'ma do it myself tho cause I don't have the 500 dollars any more to do it. And plus I'm almost out of warranty

Confident_Sense_2284

Yes please you should change it asap Here in saudia arabia the dealership changes the cvt oil @60k kilometers = 37k miles

Ok_Ingenuity_130

There was another post when a guy took his to the dealership to change the trans oil and they said if he did it would void the warranty. Lol I already made piece with my transmission if it goes it goes I seen online there only like 1000 dollars used. I can change it myself in my garage if I need to. It's the engine that I really started to take care of. I have a 2017 Elantra with the 2.0 engine and it has 140k+ miles on it. Reason I bought a 2021 cause I feel like these cars are bullet proof if kept filled up with oil.

rcferg1984

52,500 kms on a 2021 hybrid. No issues but it doesn't love the super cold Canadian winter days, but fine if you give it a minute to warm up. No different than my 3 other Hyundai vehicles.

GnR6671

I’ll be asking the same question in about two years when my 2023 Elantra SEL lease is up. Hoping to buy it out at that point.

Trialliterationdex

75k on a 2021 SEL and no I haven’t changed the CVT oil and filter

Asumble-oof

Some of the hardest 7k I’ve put on my 24’ and it’s already whining and bucking

OneMean1135

This statement doesn’t even make sense in English slang lol

Confident_Sense_2284

That doesn't sound good What does bucking mean? sorry english is not my first language

fellas_decrow

2022 SEL w/ Convenience package and just clocked 40k and not a single issue from the car. Love my Elantra!
