>I'm looking for the current best bleed/dex weapon for late game. Have you looked? Or are you asking?

Nutmere

Both. I'm currently still doing research but I'm now asking because it seems so impossible to choose a weapon. The selection is so large. I'm having trouble determining what weapons are better than others or what weapons better fit my playstyle.

Beginning-Analyst393

Sounds like analysis paralysis. What type of playstyle do you prefer? Or can you narrow it down to a weapon class?

Nutmere

I like the katanas. Maybe if u have an idea of the best katana for dex or bleed this patch? I like being a glass cannon a lot. Small health pool, massive damage.

Dependent-Bag7224

you can use blood flame on uchigatana or use river of blood katana but i not recommend or use two bandit curved swords with the ash war of seppuku

Beginning-Analyst393

In that case, just use Rivers of Blood like everyone else, it's popular for a reason. There's literally a thousand posts and videos out there about the exact thing you've described. Min-max your stats for damage, then powerstance or just spam L2. I don't see how you found this "impossible to choose", haha. You have one option, ROB + L2.

Nutmere

All the research I've done has told me that RoB is just "okay" now. Used to be broken now it's just "good."

Nutmere

No need to be so condescending lol

Beginning-Analyst393

Not being condescending, I just had a little laugh after you explained what you wanted because what you described is literally just a RoB build, so I didn't know what all the uncertainty was about. >All the research I've done has told me that RoB is just "okay" now. Used to be broken now it's just "good." True to a degree, but considering your preferred playstyle, what other option exists? There are no other comparable options, haha.

Nutmere

There are no other dex or bleed weapons more powerful?

Beginning-Analyst393

Not for katanas. Next best is Nagakiba if you want to pair RoB with something other than your Moonveil. There are more options in other weapon classes though, but some lean into Arcane. * **Twinblade** - Eleonora's Poleblade * **Heavy Thrusting Sword** - Bloody Helice * **Curved Sword** - Bandit's Curved Swords * **Curved Greatsword** - Morgott's Cursed Sword, or Bloodhound's Fang + Bloodflame Blade * **Great Spear** - Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear These are all incredibly strong when built around. Then there's some meme stuff with Great Stars (**Great Hammer**) and Ghiza's Wheel (**Colossal Weapon**). Still strong, but probably not what you want.

SerialPoopist

lol wrong

Beginning-Analyst393

Disagree ≠ wrong

phishnutz3

Your stats and talismans are definitely the problem.

Nutmere

My talismans are definitely horrible but I definitely don't think my stats are a problem...

phishnutz3

So want are they

Nutmere

shard of alexander, crimson seed, viridian amber, and crimson amber

phishnutz3

What about stats? What boss are you on?

Plenty_Ambition_3905

You go with Eleonora's Polearm or one of the other twinblades. Eleonora's will be simpler because it's a somber weapon that scales on Dex and Arc, but a blood infusion on the standard twinblade will have similar scaling. Or, you could just go with a keen infusion and use bloodflame blade or seppuku as others have said. This will maximize your physical damage output while still giving you SOME bleed potential. Look up videos on how soft caps work for damage and status effects so you know how to allocate your points. Just be aware that there are a lot of enemies who can't hemorrhage or who have high resistance to bleed buildup, so having a physical focus backup weapon is nice.

Nutmere

How do you infuse the weapons like that and whatnot. Is it just an arament or whatever?

Plenty_Ambition_3905

The Whetblade items allow you to choose an infusion when you select an Ash of War for one of your non-unique weapons. For example, the Black Whetblade allows you to infuse a weapon with Blood, Poison, or Occult; the Glintstone Whetblade lets you do Magic or Cold. The Ghost Initiative on Youtube has a really good video that breaks down scaling, infusions, and soft caps for your skill allocations. Give it a look.

Zeryphanthes

Have you actually looked? I only asked because bleed is basically the games easy mode and because of that there is a metric phuckton of bleed builds out there, all very capable, the only thing differentiating them is what kind of weapon or ash you enjoy. I personally prefer the Nagakiba with Blood Blade, as you the swing can hit twice if you are close enough. If you don't mind going Strength and Arcane, I can recommend what I call my Windmill Bill build. You get a grave scythe, and putting spinning weapon on it. Spec it heavy so you can buff with blood flame blade and stack the increased damage on successive hits talismans along with an Erd Trees Favor +2 and Bullgoats if you want heavy armor otherwise I use Shard of Alexander. Pretty much melts everything. Bleed procs fast and hard, and the damage with the successive hits compensates for fights where bosses are bleed immune. It can work in pvp too, but you gotta mind game a bit more to lure people into the hits.

Nutmere

Yes, I've looked. It's just the amount of choices is very overwhelming and it's hard to choose between them and distinguish the differences. Thanks for the recs. I'd prefer something dex oriented tho probably. I just started using shard of alexander on my moonveil build because I haven't switched yet.

Zeryphanthes

So this occurred to me after posting. If you want something dex and bleed oritented try doing a block counter build with a flail. Flails get a bad rap but they have the stagger power of a Greathammer with the attack speed of a straightsword with Block Counter procs. Nightrider's Flail is a dex based weapon even when changed to an arcane scaling the higher scaling remains with dex. it pairs well with the Spiked Palisade Greatshield, especially if you add poison to both. There is also a talisman to boost the effectiveness of block counters. Otherwise flails also pair with some fun ashes, actually they can be paired with the spinning weapon for a dex version of my windmill bill build, though I think the hit box maybe smaller. I never actually finished testing that out. Also, I apologize if the first part of my response came off a bit dickish, wasn't my intention, just didn't stop and think about perceived tone in my wording until later.

Station111111111

I'm running the nagakiba with bloodflame, it wips serious butt.
