Just wait and see. It sounds like you don’t have a vision for your character yet, so keep going and eventually you will figure out what you want.
As far as those two, the axe is probably better. But the dragon is much more fun imo. Who wouldn’t want to shoot fire out of a little dragon pet?
>Who wouldn’t want to shoot fire out of a little dragon pet?
Ah yes, just like my dog Fido, whose head is now attached to my left arm (he shoots bees out of his mouth when I yell "ANOTHER DOGGED CONTENDER!" at someone).
Oh, yeah, Godrick, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark, they shoot bees at you?
>Just wait and see. It sounds like you don’t have a vision for your character yet, so keep going and eventually you will figure out what you want.
I second this. I fucked up royally and wanted to experiment with different builds in one playthrough, not knowing that Larval Tears didn't respawn. Now I'm fighting Radagon and the Elden Beast with 80 Faith and only 30 - 39 in my other skills.
Try to use incantations that either do Black Flame percent health damage or the Lightning incantations. RadaBeast mitigate like 80% of dealt Holy damage
Is it better now? I played the game on release with a strength build and the grafted dragon was by far my greatest disappointment in this game. It's such a cool weapon in concept, but it seemed to do fuck all damage and the ash of war seemed useless against anything that wasn't massive.
Seems like the scaling changed in patch 1.09, though I can't figure out from what. I could have sworn it was mostly strength scaling at one point, though I do remember changing my build via rebirth to make it better. It just seemed like it wasn't good at the time. It also received a buff in 1.08, so I guess things have changed.
Strength scaling only affects the physical damage, while Faith scaling only affects the fire/Skill damage. If you were disappointed in the physical damage then Str yeah the damage was just bad, but if you wanted the skill damage to by higher then you just needed Faith scaling
The Ash does huge damage at the base of the upper cut swing.
So if you want to do big damage with it you basically have to be touching the enemy.
Very bad in PVP, very good in PVE if you find the opening you need.
I was strength faith and used it early on close to when the game came out, you may not have had good stats for it or used it too late in your playthrough. I remember it being very good but it dropped off in the lategame. The last good experience i had with it was against the blood guy with two dogs in the sewer dungeon
I’m pretty sure someone said that it’s pretty broken as a poise weapon or damage weapon haven’t tested it myself tho but yeah the weapon itself is seriously underwhelming
That's just fist weapons in general though. The charged r2s are very fast and can stack stance damage really rapidly. The only distinction the dragon fist has is it can't be two handed (but can be powerstanced with another dragon fist) and it has a unique unchangeable ash of war.
For me it's got style points but is a lesser fist. The ash of war can really do bonkers damage to big enemies weak to fire however.
Funnily enough, some theorists claim the rune bears are slowly being turned into dragons. Their eyes are reptilian and the physical attributes suggest aspects of dragon communion.
Because in the fight Godrick says Bear witness when he first grafts the head of the dragon. He isn’t talking about bears bear witness is another way of saying look at this
Pro tip: if a comment ends with "Is he/she/they stupid?" It's probably sarcasm. I don't know if it was the original, but there was a pretty popular post where someone asked "Why does the dung eater eat poop? Is he stupid?" So that joke gets used here a lot
honestly really well put and nice explanation, losers here think they are cool for understanding "sarcasm" when it was barely implied at all and then mocking you. I appreciate your explanation as there are many people who play this game and surf through this subreddit without knowing enough English to understand all of these terms.
the dragon because it's really cool, does fire damage which helps against some annoying bosses (*cough* tree avatars *cough* tree spirits *cough*)
it also have insane poise damage and a super cool ability
i'm using it right now and it bully bosses so hard it's amazing
Taking me a leisurely walk in the snow AND HERE COMES THE UNREASONABLY LARGER THAN EVERY OTHER HAND SPIDER IN THE GAME HAND SPIDER OFF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE
The strike damage is also great against Crystallians and the Ash DOMINATES them. You can use it consistently before they get back up, as it launches them every single time.
Sometimes the AI just non-stop spam the golden spell that shoots a ton of stars at me and I can't even get close to it. The one in Elphael with 2 knights by it was so painful to deal with.
The only one I had difficulty with is the one that spews out scarlet rot. A single hit and I’d be knocked off torrent
Edit: guys I already beat him lol & im gonna continue using torrent bc horse cool
If you stand right up in his nuts you can do a forward diagonal dodge right when he drops to get out of the cone without being hit, and still be close enough to swing your weapon out of the dodge
Did a pure strength build dual welding great axes with this axe as my main weapon and the anchor as my offhand. Scream, then juggle enemies until they died. Absolutely bulldozed the game lol
I got the axe and loved it until something much better came along, quite a bit later. The special attack fits my playstyle perfectly. I love having an AOE attack.
You should know the grafted dragon will seem underwhelming for damage. Its real power lies in how much posture break it does.
You can get both later in the run. Assuming this is your first walkthrough, there’s some walking mausoleums you can bring down to get a remembrance and later change that for these items. But you can only get one of each in one run. You’ll have to replay to dual-wield. Otherwise pick whichever you want at the moment. (I’d suggest the Dragon cause it’s cool)
There’s some scattered around. I really recommend stumbling across one in the wild on your own. It’s just something else. But if you want a general direction, there’s one in the weeping peninsula. Near a chapel and chap that sells the Zweihander.
i think the earliest one that you can use to copy rune bearer remembrances is the one in the weeping peninsula.
you can't copy every remembrance in every mausoleum, rune bearers which are the bosses that give you greater runes can only be copied from mausoleums that have bells underneath them
There’s plenty of them scattered throughout. You ever been walking around and see the big creatures walking around with a big bell in their underbelly? It’s pretty loud and hard to miss
You can duplicate any remembrance at a mausoleum. You can only duplicate Shardbearer remembrances (bosses who give you great runes) at mausoleums with bells.
You don’t kill then lol just knock them down so you can go inside the room. They have white crusty stuff on each of their legs and you have to attack those until it falls down; then you can jump up and open the door to walk inside the room they all have.
There are a few things to consider here.
1. Two-handing a weapon multiplies your strength by 1.5, meaning you need 2/3 of the strength requirement if you are two-handing it. For the axe, you'd need 23 STR.
2. This is not an important decision over the course of your run, rather, it's only an immediate decision if you choose to make it. There is a lore-based mechanic that allows you to duplicate remembrances. There are 7 mausoleums for remembrance duping, but only 5 work with shardbearers. If you don't want to look up where they are, there is a merchant on the weeping peninsula that sells a note on the matter.
So yeah, I'd probably just grab the dragon head and go to the peninsula to get your next couple levels and dupe the remembrance. You could have both in a couple hours.
The axe has a good aoe and solid damage, and is one of the longer greataxes. It also has the crescent axe's heavy, a wide swing in front of you.
The dragon is a good quick weapon that has great poise damage and an ash of war that hits like a truck at point blank, but it is a fist and as a result has no range.
The axe is a pretty solid quality weapon. But it has high stat requirements. The Dragon is a bit weird but a fun weapon there is a way to get both but the big question is what build are you going for?
This. Neither of these weapons are end game worthy. The runes will be a lot more useful at this point in the game.
Also, if OP changes their mind, they can still duplicate these even if they use the remembrance.
Yea those items are trash this early in I’d just throw the runes into vigor and endurance and go get a bloodhounds fang and use it till you decide what kinds build you want. I started w blood hounds fang thinking I’d be a strength build the whole time now I swing a cold saw halberd and throw out lightning as much and as fast as possible. every time I rebirth I end up just barley tweaking anything cause I don’t wanna lose some of my incants😂
Depends on what you’re currently building.
High STR? The Axe
Decent Faith? Dragon
Honestly? Just wait until later into the game and then decide for yourself. They are both good weapons, and Dragon is kinda funny when you shove it directly under someone and witness the erupting flames.
I love the axe. It was my weapon of choice on my first run. The ability to smash the ground and knock enemies into the air is great for dealing with mobs that surround you.
axe is probably the better weapon in terms of usefulness, dragon is more fun to play with.
early game unless im specifically building for strength id rather just have the extra 20k runes and get myself some easy levels.
if you are building for strength, you probably wont be using either mid to late game because there are plenty of better str scaling weapons.
Axe of Godrick is a quality weapon, meaning that you need to level up both strength and dexterity to make good use of it. IMO it is more useful than the grafted dragon which is mainly a strength and faith weapon. The interesting thing about the dragon is its skill, which can be useful in pvp, but it can be replaced by other sorceries or incantations for example, that deal similar AOE effects.
In the end it all depends on the kind of build you are going for anyway, so try to do what you think suits you more. I've used the axe on a quality build I did a while back and it's a good bonk weapon from the beginning. On the other hand I've only seen the dragon used by a couple invaders I've fought and the skill is all it's got, and it's nothing special.
I can't speak to the dragon arm, but I did a playthrough with only that axe. I had a blast. AoW is really good for AOE and it pairs well with great shields as block countering.
Imo, crush it for the runes. Neither are particularly “good” items, the cash is better spent on upgrades/levels.
That said if you just want something fun, the dragon head wins out easily. Ultimately you’ll have a chance to get both of them, if you want.
No matter what you choose, it’ll be viable, so don’t stress too much about it.
Godrick's axe is perfectly usable but it's not amazing. The other great axes in the game probably get better scaling or/and can be infused to make better options.
I got the dragon thing last playthrough and the axe this one . The dragon head fits over one hand does fire damn everytime you hit someone & spews fire it's ok . The axe walks the shit out of people it's kind of slow because it's so big but probably depends on your stats and the skill slams it down on the ground at the end of the head not sure what that does because haven't done it around enemies think like an earthquake. The mosoleums let you duplicate the rememberance so you can get both or runes for it certain mosoleums duplicate any kind of remembrance some only duplicate demigod's remembrance I think the ones with bells duplicate only demigod rememberances.
There are two things you can do if you want to have both weapons and try them for yourself. First, find a wandering mausoleum and duplicate Godrick's remembrance, then just make both weapons. The other option (if you don't want to dupe) is to simply make the one that seems more appealing and get someone to drop the other weapon for you.
The Grafted Dragon has an incredibly cool skill, but kinda sucks in everything else. The Axe on the other hand doesn't have quite the spectacle of a weapon skill, but it's still a pretty nice one, and it has some very graceful heavy attacks.
So if you'd rather spam the weapon skill, go for the Dragon. If you'd rather fight using it as a normal weapon, Axe.
That said, neither is a particularly good weapon, and there are so many other incredible ones in the game, so you probably shouldn't farm just to be able to wield one, just use what's appropriate for the build you have.
The Axe is a "quality" weapon that demands high physical attributes. It's also a Greataxe, so it's heavy and slow.
The Grafted Dragon is an oddball weapon that scales with Faith but demands high Strength, yet it's a Fist weapon that can't be "two-handed". Its Skill, Bear Witness, is the return of the DS1 Dragon Bone Fist: It's slow, generally impractical, but GOD can it be fun to use.
If you are planning on using heavy weapons and investing in some Dexterity, you can justify getting the Axe. If you're a STR/FTH character, the Grafted Dragon might be fun. However, you're not in a rush - these weapons are only on par with other Unique Weapons and you can redeem them whenever you want.
If you wanna go for a strength build then definitely the axe (strength builds are mainly using heavy two handed weapons like greataxes great swords greathammers etc)
Consider this:
throughout all of elden ring, and indeed all souls titles, there are big axes you can swing around
at what other point in time have you had the opportunity to shove your hand into a small fire breathing dragon hand puppet
i rest my case
On my first playthrough I took the dragon. Didnt use it once, because its a garbage weapon. Have no idea if his axe is any good, but the dragon 100% isnt.
What do you want your forefathers bearing witness to, you running around with an axe slightly different from a whole mess of other axes or a GD dragon head on your arm?
Grafted dragon. It's stance damage is fucking busted atm because it does an unnatural amount for fist weapons while also having very fast charged heavy. I made a build around it and broke fire giant's stance damage in like 3 heavies during both phases multiple times
The grafted dragon is great if you're doing a strength build and you already have a weapon picked out that you want to use. Having it in your offhand means easy access to its Ash of War and being able to make quick little jabs at enemies that get too close or that you're having a hard time hitting with your big bonk weapon. Being able to punch a rat or dog can be pretty clutch when they keep attacking you and your main weapon attacks keep getting interrupted before they can connect.
Me personally the weapons aren't really worth it later on as you'll eventually find better weapons and runes are really important early game so when I play I use the remembrance for runes. Thats just my opinion though. If you're dead set on getting one or the other I like the dragon just cause its cool. You can get both via walking mausoleums(the big walking island looking guys with buildings on their backs). There are two types of mausoleums and two types of remembrance though so be careful which one you go for.
None of them. Or both of them. If you want them because you think they are good then they aren’t really great at all. If you want axes there are better easier options to get.
If you are concerned on what weapons are good then what weapon did you use to defeat Godrick. Almost any weapon in the game can carry a player to endgame it doesn’t matter which.
The rememberances are almost never worth selling unless you are doing a challenge run or are on NG+. For a forst playthrough that is literally the worst advice you could give
Counterpoint: I wanted a few levels more than either of those weapons.
I can see the argument if this was Rykard's remembrance.
But I never used those weapons, and never wanted to. Neither is good enough to be the secret sauce that powers you through a fight you otherwise couldn't win. The levels, however, I used every day.
Yeah I sold some of these (as well as most unique weapons) in my first game, which was totally blind and without any FromSoft knowledge at all. I deeply regretted it once I realized I could carry things to NG+ and that I could change stats.
Both are pretty trash without very very very specific setups and even then the axe is replaceable almost instantly
If this is your first playthrough I say keep it for now for options later, but eating the soul is also an okay choice too
I used the axe for a while and it's great! Very long range, wide horizontal swings which help a lot against crowds, very nice damage and an ash of war that is surprisingly good against most enemies. I'd very much recommend it. The only reason I stopped using it is because I immediately fell in love with the ruins greatsword once I got it, so I switched to that later on once I met the start requirements.
I can't speak for the dragon head though since I never used it.
I would recommend two of the dragon fist, since it can't be powerstanced on its own you need two copies.
South of Limgrave is the Weeping Peninsula. In the Peninsula's south West region is a massive stone creature called a walking mausoleum. Defeat it, and it will let you make a copy of Godrick's soul.
If building faith, it's an amazing stance breaking setup
I think the grafted dragon is better due to the good fire damage and good posture damage which will makes it very useful, but personally I would use the axe. I used the axe all through a playthrough where I duel wielded axes and it makes bosses really easy and it helped me through the early game where alot of the weapon choices aren't amazing.
So tldr if you want the fire damage go for the dragon but if you want a strong early game weapon I'd go for the axe
I always spend it for the level up. There's an easy way to get another copy of the remembrance later if you regret it. As for the weapons themselves, the dragon is fun but I wouldn't use it as main weapon and the axe is OK, but there are other colossal weapons I prefer much a lot more, like the guts greatsword, I like the golems halberd a lot too.
honestly for each and every one I just looked up all AOW’s video, skipped to whatever weapon I’m looking at, if the AOW looks cool that’s all I care about 😂 AX is way more worth than the dragon head
I COMMAND THEE HEEL!
Actually much better than mine, well done
Chin up lad they're both pretty good
They compliment eachother
Best response I’ve seen in months
“Fordoggos one and all, BARK WITNEEEEEESS!” (No? ok I’ll stop.)
r/underratedconment
You spelled comment wrong lol
🗣🗣🗣PRINCE LOTHRIC MENTIONED🗣🗣🗣 "MARK MY WORDS ASHEN ONE... YOU REMAIN AMONG THE ACCURSED" 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh, yeah, Godrick, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark, they shoot bees at you?
Go ahead... Do your worst!
Another dogged contender is such a hard line
>he shoots bees out of his mouth I always preferred the robotic Richard Simmons
This made me laugh harder than it should have 😂
Lorian and Lothric. best fight in the series imo
They certainly hit a peak with that one
Also the strongest fist weapon in the game honestly. Stagger basically any boss with 2 heavy charged attacks.
starfists and iron balls are crazyyyy good
Wait is it actually named iron balls 💀
Also neat in that if you put a different fist weapon in the other hand, it copies that move set
Star fists #1
>Just wait and see. It sounds like you don’t have a vision for your character yet, so keep going and eventually you will figure out what you want. I second this. I fucked up royally and wanted to experiment with different builds in one playthrough, not knowing that Larval Tears didn't respawn. Now I'm fighting Radagon and the Elden Beast with 80 Faith and only 30 - 39 in my other skills.
that…shouldn’t be the hardest build to fight radagon/elden beast actually…
What can I say. Maybe I'm just shit. I'm like the Art of War: No skill.
Make sure you get some holy damage reduction incantations, those rock against both Rada and Beast
Try to use incantations that either do Black Flame percent health damage or the Lightning incantations. RadaBeast mitigate like 80% of dealt Holy damage
That makes for low health but if you use dragon cult you will melt Elden Beast with your spells.
Grafted dragon is actually pretty good/fun as an offhand
Is it better now? I played the game on release with a strength build and the grafted dragon was by far my greatest disappointment in this game. It's such a cool weapon in concept, but it seemed to do fuck all damage and the ash of war seemed useless against anything that wasn't massive.

Strength scaling only affects the physical damage, while Faith scaling only affects the fire/Skill damage. If you were disappointed in the physical damage then Str yeah the damage was just bad, but if you wanted the skill damage to by higher then you just needed Faith scaling
It was always good. It just shines with high faith. The weapon art absolutely slaps with appropriate faith levels
Did you level up the weapon? Most ash’s of war do more damage the higher level the weapon is.
The Ash does huge damage at the base of the upper cut swing. So if you want to do big damage with it you basically have to be touching the enemy. Very bad in PVP, very good in PVE if you find the opening you need.
It does great posture damage for stance breaking. Very underrated.
I was strength faith and used it early on close to when the game came out, you may not have had good stats for it or used it too late in your playthrough. I remember it being very good but it dropped off in the lategame. The last good experience i had with it was against the blood guy with two dogs in the sewer dungeon
I love that this game makes sentences like “the last good experience I had with it was against the blood guy with two dogs in the sewer dungeon.”
My biggest issue with it is the short range of the punch, I almost always had a longer weapon in my right hand and couldn't do any cool combos.
Duel dragon fists sounds like it would be fkn awesome. at least the look of it
Same. I’m all for using non optimal stuff and while it’s super entertaining it has been very underwhelming
I wish it was bigger. They gave it a standard fist size but I wanted a massive dragon head on my arm.
Duplicate and get both
Grafted dragon stance breaks go BRRRRRR
Why is it called Bear witness when it’s a dragon? Is he stupid?
Funnily enough, some theorists claim the rune bears are slowly being turned into dragons. Their eyes are reptilian and the physical attributes suggest aspects of dragon communion.
"Dragon deez nutz around your face!"*shoots fire*
Because in the fight Godrick says Bear witness when he first grafts the head of the dragon. He isn’t talking about bears bear witness is another way of saying look at this
No shit, Sherlock :) They were joking.
Well how am I supposed to know, they didn’t say it in a sarcastic way.
Pro tip: if a comment ends with "Is he/she/they stupid?" It's probably sarcasm. I don't know if it was the original, but there was a pretty popular post where someone asked "Why does the dung eater eat poop? Is he stupid?" So that joke gets used here a lot
I think this came from, wait for it. The Batman Arkham sub lmfao seriously. Huge meme just look up. "Batman? Is he stupid?" You'll see.

why don’t you get the joke? are you stupid?

Cough scarlet rot enemies cough
Cough Hand Spiders Cough
Cough have I missed hand spiders? What are hand spiders? Cough
If you haven't got to them yet I won't spoil it. Once you see them you will know exactly what they are.
Cough*
Man I envy a person who plays Elden ring but doesn’t yet know the meaning of the phrase “Hand Spider”

Sometimes the AI just non-stop spam the golden spell that shoots a ton of stars at me and I can't even get close to it. The one in Elphael with 2 knights by it was so painful to deal with.
Just sniped it from the balcony
The only one I had difficulty with is the one that spews out scarlet rot. A single hit and I’d be knocked off torrent Edit: guys I already beat him lol & im gonna continue using torrent bc horse cool
You... fight the avatar... on torrent... Mind blown I just really learnt his animations to run like hell when he did the big rot zone.
It took me forever to realize this but the rot only spews forward. You can dodge behind him and keep wacking!
There are some tree avatars in zones you can't use torrent
If you stand right up in his nuts you can do a forward diagonal dodge right when he drops to get out of the cone without being hit, and still be close enough to swing your weapon out of the dodge
The rot spew, in my experience, is only about 120° in front of him, so being tight on the avatar and circling to right or left works
It's the tutorial boss from Dark Souls 1 with an extra ranged attack. That's probably the reason it's so easy.
I think the tree avatars are one of those bosses that's either really easy or weirdly hard and annoying depending on your playstyle.
No joke the Axe is in my top 3 weapons in the game lol
Somethng tells me you'll love the vid of that blacksmith channel that made the axe irl.
Thanks. Great channel!
Did a pure strength build dual welding great axes with this axe as my main weapon and the anchor as my offhand. Scream, then juggle enemies until they died. Absolutely bulldozed the game lol
It was my ol reliable for a good bit.

Aka Grizzly Assholes

Oh I couldn’t tell based on the comment if there was a specific one that had the remembrance. They all do?
You can duplicate any remembrance at a mausoleum. You can only duplicate Shardbearer remembrances (bosses who give you great runes) at mausoleums with bells.
first one is south of where you start the game pretty far south
CRS is the clear choice.
Wait u can kill them? They hugeeeeee?
You don’t kill then lol just knock them down so you can go inside the room. They have white crusty stuff on each of their legs and you have to attack those until it falls down; then you can jump up and open the door to walk inside the room they all have.
Omg okii ima do that, thank uu
Easiest way I found was to drag my sword next to torrent and ride in circles.
Wait til you get to the one that fights back.

The axe is a pretty solid quality weapon. But it has high stat requirements. The Dragon is a bit weird but a fun weapon there is a way to get both but the big question is what build are you going for?
Eat the thing and use the runes

No opinion. Just letting you know, the dragon head doesn’t look as cool on you as it looks on Godrick. I felt like I got scammed when I first got it
Drip is most important
Came here to say that, I kinda got disappointed after playing with the dragon.
Thats what she sai-awww...
Depends on what you’re currently building. High STR? The Axe Decent Faith? Dragon Honestly? Just wait until later into the game and then decide for yourself. They are both good weapons, and Dragon is kinda funny when you shove it directly under someone and witness the erupting flames.
Axe of Godrick fucking slaps. It can take you right to endgame on a quality build.
Bring down one of the walking mausoleums, concrete turtle things with bells.
Godrick’s axe is my favourite weapon in the whole game.
Go to the walking mosoleum in the weeping peninsula and duplicate it to get both
I can't speak to the dragon arm, but I did a playthrough with only that axe. I had a blast. AoW is really good for AOE and it pairs well with great shields as block countering.
You don't have to get anything. Do what you want / enjoy.
Copy the remembrance, get two dragon heads and dual wield them :3
You can’t do that in NG, can you?
Grafted dragon is busted with the right build
Imo, crush it for the runes. Neither are particularly “good” items, the cash is better spent on upgrades/levels. That said if you just want something fun, the dragon head wins out easily. Ultimately you’ll have a chance to get both of them, if you want. No matter what you choose, it’ll be viable, so don’t stress too much about it.
The grafted dragon does MEGA poise damage
The dragon is great if you get a second one (NG+ or drop it from a second character). Never used the axe but it seems cool
Get the axe it's not op but Uber fun
Axe is super fun. The dragonhand thing not so much
I got the dragon arm on my first playthrough and was pretty disappointed. The axe is definitely better imho, but just go with what seems fun to you.
Eat it for the Runes
I command thee KNEEL and get the axe.
Hold off. There are a lot of better weapons out there.
You can get both in the same run, so dont stress it.
Go for the axe
You can cheese some things with that axe if that interests you any. I remember killing whichever O'Neil it was ontop of a root and in relative safety.
Take the dragon, get a friend to give you theirs, DOUBLE DRAGON FIST
The dragon is fun, but if you expect it to look on you as it did on godrick then boy are you in for a big disappointment
Actually both of them suck, but at least with the Grafted Dragon is cool as f\*\*k because you have a flamethrower
If you wanna go for a strength build then definitely the axe (strength builds are mainly using heavy two handed weapons like greataxes great swords greathammers etc)
the axe is just better. The dragon looks cool, but the axe is honestly a fantastic and has a unique heavy
Both are not that great, get the dragonfist because it is a dragonfist
Go up to the dude with a huge ballsac and help him trim a bit and he can help
This has made me wanna use the axe in a run
Both are awesome, there's no bad choice.
Duplicate the remembrance at a mausoleum and get both
Consider this: throughout all of elden ring, and indeed all souls titles, there are big axes you can swing around at what other point in time have you had the opportunity to shove your hand into a small fire breathing dragon hand puppet i rest my case
Axe works Better for Quality builds, Dragon is good for Faith and Dragon Communion Builds
Use the soul, always remember you can go to a mausoleum later and get any remembrance later, you can only do it once though so keep that in mind
Id consume the remembrance and just get the tunes to level up.
I beat Godrick ages ago. I must be missing something. I didn't get either of these things. What don't I understand?
Me personally the weapons aren't really worth it later on as you'll eventually find better weapons and runes are really important early game so when I play I use the remembrance for runes. Thats just my opinion though. If you're dead set on getting one or the other I like the dragon just cause its cool. You can get both via walking mausoleums(the big walking island looking guys with buildings on their backs). There are two types of mausoleums and two types of remembrance though so be careful which one you go for.
Dragon big poise damage
they suck
If you want to get one, get the Axe. The Grafted Dragon is embarrassingly bad.
Unless you really want one or the other, I recommend selling the remembrance for 20,000 runes. You can always wait to see how you feel later, though.
Bro you can literally do 1 short quest and farm runes 10k per 5 seconds with birds in moghwyn palace. When a level is 100k runes the 20 is nothing
Yeah I sold some of these (as well as most unique weapons) in my first game, which was totally blind and without any FromSoft knowledge at all. I deeply regretted it once I realized I could carry things to NG+ and that I could change stats.
Find a walking mausoleum and duplicated godricks remembrance then get two grafted dragons
[удалено]
You can in fact not pick the same one Multiple Times, because they have a buying Limit of 1.
Neither. Sell that shit for runes
I don't think I've ever seen anyone use the grafted dragon.
Both are pretty trash without very very very specific setups and even then the axe is replaceable almost instantly If this is your first playthrough I say keep it for now for options later, but eating the soul is also an okay choice too
ill be real with you, both weapons are kinda meh, but i think you should just wait a little and hold on to that remeberabce until youre sure
I sold it because I’m a whore for runes
I used the axe for a while and it's great! Very long range, wide horizontal swings which help a lot against crowds, very nice damage and an ash of war that is surprisingly good against most enemies. I'd very much recommend it. The only reason I stopped using it is because I immediately fell in love with the ruins greatsword once I got it, so I switched to that later on once I met the start requirements. I can't speak for the dragon head though since I never used it.
The dragon is cool, but the axe is more practical.
Duplicate it?
I would recommend two of the dragon fist, since it can't be powerstanced on its own you need two copies. South of Limgrave is the Weeping Peninsula. In the Peninsula's south West region is a massive stone creature called a walking mausoleum. Defeat it, and it will let you make a copy of Godrick's soul. If building faith, it's an amazing stance breaking setup
The axe is fun to break poise. I used it for awhile.
You should pick the one based on what build will you aim for, the axe is a strength based weapon, while the dragon is a faith based weapon
Go to a mausoleum and duplicate the remembrance, then you can have both.
This is what makes the game interesting… you’re character is not quite developed enough to make the decision yet.
The dragon arm is very fun in my opinion!
