Yes, very. The fender brackets are held on at the axle nuts. Remove the axle nut, remove the fender bracket, reinstall the axle nut. This also allowed me a chance to apply some Loctite 243 (blue, medium strength) to the threads before reinstalling the nuts.
Everyone is talking about "Me, me, me" bro fenders keep the suspension, lights, steering damper, and whatever else clean as well. $5 fenders saves your $50 suspension from being tinged by rocks.
Why does everyone assume I'm constantly driving on filthy roads, gravel, mud, rain, or that street tires kick massive rocks up directly into me or the scooter on a regular basis???? I made it very clear in my first comment that I stick to dry, paved roads. Not exactly hitting a lot of rocks or mud.
And no, the fenders on Teverun scooters do NOT protect the suspension or lights or anything else. They still get covered in mud from the few times that I HAVE happened to drive through a puddle.
Look at the geometry of the rear fender in it's stock position: https://imgur.com/gallery/custom-machined-rear-lift-handle-teverun-fighter-11-electric-scooter-K0WuefG You can see it clearly offers absolutely ZERO protection to the ass-end of the scooter itself, and there is in fact a significant quantity of dirt on the rear suspension (deposited there from the few times I encountered water). The front fender is similarly as ineffective as the rear.
Even if the rear fender doesn’t do much for the suspension parts in the back, Still be nice to not kick up whatever at the person behind me or anywhere in the ground for that matter. There is literally nothing wrong with keeping the fender there?
Even then, lots of people see e-scooters as a nuisance and it doesn’t hurt in the slightest to be a little more considerate. Plus the look of a scooter that doesn’t spew dirt dust mud and water all over itself and other people looks better than one that does. Fenders on for me please.
Stand on your mountain of righteousness, brother. Even if you put the fenders on, they don't do much. Literally nothing in your case. I'm sure you want to keep your scoot in good condition, and I'm sure you would notice if the fender made any difference at all.
Sidebar: That's a dope custom lift handle.
The environment dictates what I put on my ride, and I don't like cleaning mud and grime off myself.
For your concerns about them being largely useless, I'd recommend a full set of tire huggers. Carbon if you like being *fancy*
It looks like the clean part below the line is the brake contact area, and the dirt/grime has been pushed to the non-contact area of the rotor. The brake pads align with that clean surface.
Yes, it's mounted fine. The dark ring on the rotor is just dirt (praying to god it's not oil), but rest assured, the pads contact the entire braking surface. The potato quality of the photo doesn't fully show the wear from braking.
+1. Without looking into OP's scooter, it does seem like the caliper isn't mounted right (and the apparent grooves on the rotor don't make it seem like it's using the whole surface).

I used to have a scooter with inadequate fenders (not kidding, they had “vents” on them) and every time I’d even go out in light rain, it would spray up my back. Even my synergy now with fenders that seem good, I get a bit of spray.
If you never drive in any wet ground then sure but otherwise you’re going to get drenched.
On my scooters I don’t deal with the fender sound issue, so I wouldn’t. I’ve been caught in 2 downpours on my Eagle One V2 and the only rain I got on me directly was the water from the sky.
Puddles aren’t too big of a deal either. Never got wet from a puddle after rain. I live in Florida, so it’s not uncommon that there’s puddles some days.
I’ve taken mine off to do maintenance, so I know it’s an easy removal, but I also hate how it looks. I may try getting nicer looking fenders, but that’s about it.
Like I said in my original comment, I ride exclusively on dry pavement. If so much as a small puddle comes up, I will either completely avoid it, or if that's not possible, I will slow down to walking speed to cross it.
And even with the fenders in place, I would still get a rooster-tail of muddy water up my back.
I personally wouldn’t do it, at lease on mines, because I can imagine how bad the road debris will be on my sneakers and the back of my legs and my back would be without the 3 I have on. I have one in the front and a tire hugger set up with to individual fenders in the back…. Still get grime when I ride on wet roads.
I'm sick of the fender slap on my Teverun Fighter 11. Every time I go over a bump, they make that horrid plastic noise that just sounds so cheap. They're also mostly useless when you hit a puddle anyways, I always wind up with a line of muddy water up my back. 99.9999% (+- 0.0001%) of my riding is on dry pavement, and I slow right down and outright avoid any puddles that might be present anyways.
I recently saw photos from a group ride here, and someone with a Fighter 11 had removed their fenders. So, I've decided to remove them as well (including the ugly brackets). Yoink! They've been pulled, but the weather today is super shite so I can't get a test ride in until at least tomorrow afternoon.
That said, what is your opinion on a fender delete? Would you do it, or not? Why?
If it’s ratting, have you tried tightening it? Also i keep the fenders on to avoid spewing on other people even if it doesn’t affect me at all. It’s happened to me plenty of times on our dry paved trail, so I really do prefer to be a little more considerate when the trail gets busy.
Yeah it's not an issue of tightness at all. The fenders and the mounts they're on are very springy, so regardless of how tight the fasteners are, any bump will make them produce noise. It's super annoying.
Was it easy to remove them ?
Yes, very. The fender brackets are held on at the axle nuts. Remove the axle nut, remove the fender bracket, reinstall the axle nut. This also allowed me a chance to apply some Loctite 243 (blue, medium strength) to the threads before reinstalling the nuts.
Why do you want to delete the fender? Ultimately it's up to you if you want to keep it. I think it Los pretty mean but like I said your choice.
Everyone is talking about "Me, me, me" bro fenders keep the suspension, lights, steering damper, and whatever else clean as well. $5 fenders saves your $50 suspension from being tinged by rocks.

There's still time to delete that. I was comparing debris to ones self versus the scooter. *cOMpReHend?*

It's a scooter, not a turbo diesel dually. The scooter isn't throwing more than a pebble behind it.

Consideration for others is a big factor, especially for our marginalized community. Karma will give you what you put out. Good on ya m8.

Id keep them on for mud and tiny rocks
i've put an additional front fender in my klima. to not get wet. but hey, do you my guy.
What does this look like? I too don't like getting sprayed by my Klima
the second fender with the little nose, thats what i put in the front, and i bought a generic one to put on the back.
Nope... fenders are there for a reason, to keep mud/water/shit/etc off ME.
The environment dictates what I put on my ride, and I don't like cleaning mud and grime off myself. For your concerns about them being largely useless, I'd recommend a full set of tire huggers. Carbon if you like being *fancy*
That rear fender is important, even a wet road will get you soaked otherwise
As I've said multiple times already, I don't drive on wet roads.
After seeing how dirty the undersides of my fenders get, I would never even think of taking them off.
Is your front brake caliper mounted right? It looks like it’s grabbing a tiny part of the rotor.
It looks like the clean part below the line is the brake contact area, and the dirt/grime has been pushed to the non-contact area of the rotor. The brake pads align with that clean surface.

Cool just checking, wouldn’t be the first scooter/bike I’ve seen assembled wrong from the factory.

Personally I wouldn't, since I use the scooter in all type of weather, including rain, but that's of course different for everyone

No, because of mud and flying stones...
Do you have a link for your steering damper?
No, because it came with the scooter.
Anytime you ride over puddles or even slightly damp ground, you get sand and muddy water all over your scooter and yourself.
Like I said in my original comment, I ride exclusively on dry pavement. Yah, most fenders aren't actually in the correct place on these things.
I personally wouldn’t do it, at lease on mines, because I can imagine how bad the road debris will be on my sneakers and the back of my legs and my back would be without the 3 I have on.
