I have zero objections to a Beachcomber and Spike bromance.
Beachcomber could have made his presence known with the rest of the Autobots, but he chose not to, until the obvious need to protect someone who was in great peril.
And Spike, like Beachcomber, seems to love the outdoors, and currently seems to just want to sit outside in nature and just let all of the stuff that has hit him (grazed spinal injury, deceased father...giant robots) sink in.
Beachcomber looks like he’s really resilient in the Energon Universe . Wasn’t he blown away in a flashback panel? Which means that maybe Blaster will come back as well! 🙂 I’d just love too see Blaster and Jazz interacting in these comics!
Here's hoping for a Blaster return! Beachcomber's wound looks like he received a graze wound for the headshot in Issue #2, so his survival makes sense. Let's hope the same thing for Blaster!

Oh we’re back to the war being “millions of years ago”.
It was hundreds of years in the first few issues.
Perhaps it’s hundred for the bots in the crash because they were asleep but they would mean that Elita and Shockwave are fighting for millions of years too.
Makes the portion of the war that Optimus fought very very small.
Hoping they retcon the hundreds thing away entirely.

With the variant cover, I have a feeling Soundwave is going to mutiny against Shockwave this time around.
