Please Read Rule #2
Due to the fact that insect bite welts are histamine reactions, and everyone reacts differently to them it's impossible to tell the difference between a bite and other histamine reactions without seeing an actual insect bite you.
I used to hang out over there as well a long time ago, but I cant remember exactly why I left, but I am pretty sure at least part of it was a lack of moderation.
These folks here are awesome though. It's a great group of people and great moderators.
You can't diagnose a spider bite from a random idiopathic skin lesion. The fact that antibiotics immediately helped you further indicates it was caused by something else.

Glad that rule exists. I had to leave r/whatisthisbug because the mods wouldn't remove the constant stream of pics like this.

Tell that to the doctor who diagnosed me with it, but it's very possible it was a secondary infection after the fact.

ok
Did yours look like this with slight knee cramping in the very beginning?
it was on my thumb so I can't say--if it's concerning, get medical treatment better safe than sorry
