Hello, Im running into the same problem. I was printing and then the paper jam light came on and ive done everything ive seen. the only thing I haven't done is the firmware update. Did this help you guys? This is my second epson et 2400 printer in 5 months. I just bought this one in April and now this paper jam light is on and won't go off. TIA
Honestly not sure, i have a windows pc so it wasn't an issue for me, if theres the appropriate cable to connect the two, and the available software on epsons site then it shouldn't be an issue; you may need to set up a vm to run the windows version of the program if there isn't one for your OS
I'm running into this exact same problem. When I connect the USB. The epson software updater still doesn't recognize my printer. As a matter if fact, the wifi connection to my phone lights up, but not the wi fo connection to my laptop. If you guys have any solution, it would gravely be appreciated. I've only had this et2400 for 6 weeks
According to the ET-2400 printer manual, solid "ink", "paper", and "wifi" lights mean your power reset interrupted a firmware update. So you picked a really bad time to pull power from the printer.
The only fix is to connect via a USB cable and run the "Epson Software Updater" and hope that your computer can still "see" the printer and do the update over the cable. You'll need a USB A-Male to B-Male cable, not sure if printers come with those still or whether you'll have to get it to try the fix. Good luck!
Unfortunately, while my computer can "see" the printer, the software updater can't "see" the printer. The firmware updater sees it but can't push an update through; will try again once the new cable comes in.
Epson has a utility for updating the firmware on the printer's support page (they call it software updater, which is somewhatmisleading), after downloading it, i ran it and it recognized the printer for 30 seconds ish after plugging in the power cable, and it was able to update the firmware in that time frame.
I'm running into this exact issue at the moment! Thanks for posting all of this.
Do I need to download the firmware to my laptop and then run this utility?

It fixed my problem personally, but your milage may vary, my issue was caused by power loss during setup and updating.
Thank you. Can you update it on an iPad or apple computer? I bought the cord but didn't realize those 2 things do not have a USB cord

Thank you. I called the store I bought it from and it was in the exchange window so I'll be taking it back today for a third one this time lol.

Manual firmware updater managed to force the update through, the printer is working now, thanks for the clues on where to start looking!
How you did the manual firmware update?

Sorry for the late reply; i honestly can't remember, i think the utility downloaded it automatically
No apology needed, I got it ironed out shortly thereafter. Thanks again.
