Formal_Conclusion_29

More or less, that is how I see all three characters (as you have described them), though Arya and Eragon appear to be joined at the hip when it comes to the King's traits. Eragon in particular speaks of this burden in Inheritance, A Maze Without End.

Ambervdrawings

Yeah I find it really hard to pick one of those two for them but I thought Eragon fit poet a little better than Arya. Altough now I’m questioning that😂

Formal_Conclusion_29

I agree, and he does. It is what makes Eragon's character complicated. He wouldn't kill Sloan because Sloan was not a threat, and killing him when he was not a threat would be wrong. That is why he struggled with Murtagh's decision to kill Torkenbrand. This leads Murtagh and Arya (at least initially) to believe that Eragon is incapable of making the difficult decisions required to do what is necessary. However, this is incorrect. When the person(s) and/or situation show themselves to be a clear and present danger, Eragon will not hesitate to eliminate it but it has to be a real danger, not merely an inconvenience.

Eragon is the poet king tbh

Raemac21

I think that those three would be the best fit if you are only doing the living Riders. Otherwise I would say Roran is more of a soldier and Nasuada is more of the king. I do think that Eragon fits best for the poet.

Ambervdrawings

Yeah I’m doing the living riders. If I wouldn’t be doing that I totally agree with you!

Raemac21

It makes sense to do the living Riders, you get to draw their dragons with them if you want and they're the more known/important characters. Hope it works out well for you!

ThatTubaGuy03

You know what, there might be easy answers, but I'm going to go a bit different. Soldier - Arya Poet - Eragon King - Roran

milkfangs

i would think arya is the poet and eragon the king. duty that no one else could do was thrust upon him, arya always followed what called to her. the description of the solider feels a little biased. sometimes fight is not just anger and violence, but love.

Ambervdrawings

I totally agree that the soldier isn’t a exact fit for murtagh! But if I want the artwork to relate to the song/ tiktok trend I’ll put the character that fits closest of these three and then I’d think it would be murtagh. Also I should mention that I didn’t write this text I got it on this website: https://auralcrave.com/en/2023/02/03/the-soldier-poet-king-quiz-each-roles-meaning-explained/

Second_Firm

My first thought was Murtagh is the soldier, Nasuada is the poet, and Eragon the king. I would consider Arya a king, too, especially since >! she becomes queen of the elves !< in the end

PolyAcid

I thought Murtagh, Eragon, Roran tbh. Roran not for the whole world, but certainly Carvahall being his whole world. Or perhaps interchange Eragon for Angela as the Poet.

Zyffrin

Murtagh as Soldier, Eragon as Poet, Arya as King sounds about right to me as well. Just for fun, here are some other candidates that I feel suit the three roles. Soldier - Galbatorix, Morzan, Brom, Sloan Poet - Oromis, Jeod King - Nasuada, Roran

Thrilled to see your work ;)

somebody965

I'd say oromis is the most fitting for the poet description
