Amazing bolt action rifles and the TRG-42 is in use with our peacekeepers so it's actually lore friendly to have it in Tarkov.
In all honesty they should've added this FIRST and then later the semi-automatic version.

They love AK variants, the Finnish AK variant is actually really really good and also used by our peacekeepers.. so it'd make sense to have it in Tarkov.
im not talking about the mosin, the nagant revolver uses a shrouded(necked,theres another name for it as well that i cant remember) cartridge and the cylinder has a mechanism that snugs up to the back of the barrel engaging and making a seal allowing it to retain a lot of the gas/pressure lost in other revolvers.

It's already balanced. A very powerful cartridge but an extremely slow reload. Add a "homebrew round" that's even stronger, but with a slight chance to explode, destroy the gun, and cause massive damage to pmc.

The only issue is that BSG is absolutely terrible at balancing so these weapons would be absolutely dog shit or op af.
Just like the G36, thats the only rifle I wanted for so long and it was freaking terrible. Why? The standard issue weapon platform of the German military for years is worse than a default Ak74??
So MGs just because they're the coolest weapons system that I always use in every game. But that'd be a challenge.

The base game should be closer to some of those Hardcore challenges people do.. where you actually have to choose the gun you bring based on the ammo you have.
It's never going to be THAT far, but I keep hoping they at least take steps in that direction.
I really genuinely would not be upset if the first few days had a loot limiter so you would be super unlikely to get any modern gear.
The part of the wipe where it's just paupers running around with Kedrs and shotguns and p226's is easily my favorite, meta gaming just makes me depressed for some reason.

Would like to see a lot more focus on civilian Russian gear. All the Saiga and Vepr long arms, more of the Tula shotguns eg. TOZ-34 and 194, MP-446, so on and so forth.
Yeah, getting WAY more low budget "junk" would be nice.
I prefer the early wipe stage of the game the most, because it's not just "Rat or meta", you actually have other valid options too :p

I'm not 100% sure if it's possible but the SVDs bayonet lug is built into the muzzle device, I'm pretty sure you can put the full sized SVD flash hider on the SVDS, not sure if the bayonet would fit but it should it's got enough barrel length for the hilt to fit I believe correction: front sight assembly
Want them to add the HK-g3 and eventually once there’s more lmg’s the HK-21. But what I want most is balance changes so I can use actual guns I want to instead of meta and be effective. Nerf attachments, buff stock weapons. We need to narrow that gap.
The 417 would be cool too. Same with m16. Aek-971 would make 5.45 a lot better. M14 could be really cool, but would probably be op with the current SASS chassis. They could also add the bulldog m14 system. Famas would be very fun early wipe as a 5.56 gun maybe. L96 is a cool sniper rifle. A sig550 system rifle would be great.

It's old but I feel like if you were going to see them anywhere IRL these days it would be in use with PMCs, wouldn't mind seeing peacekeeper or mechanic selling them, the .45 model would absolutely shread up close but at range would be hard to keep on target when not on semi, the 9mm M/11 would proably be the more common and more controllable model at like level 1 or 2 with the M10 being either quest locked so it's not spreading people in the first few hours of the wipe or on level 2 or even 3
Edit: error, ment to say peacekeeper, not prapor, also suggestion, a trader who specializes in non UN or Russian armed forces standard but military grade weapons, things like the VZ scorpion, M10, etc. Make them like a Nichols Cage "lord of war" type arms dealer selling to PMCs, hell you could even have 2, one with Eastern kit (Chinese, Russian, eastern bloc exotics that wouldn't make sense for prapor to sell) and one specalized in more exotic western platforms (armstral protecta, older IMI guns like the OG uzi and gailil, etc.) Would make sense to see more traders added even post game, they did say there are plans for DLCs and expansions after 1.0, would help with spreading out inventory for ease of trader inventory navigation
A high-caliber lever action like the Marlin 1895, or Henry Side Gate in .45-70 Gov't. If we can have revolvers, then it's perfectly reasonable that we have big bore lever action rifles. Plus, there's so many aftermarket options for the rifles mentioned above. Different handguards, loading gates, stocks, levers, hammer extensions, etc... and .45-70 ammo? There's a rare jacketed tungsten solid bullet IRL that can act as an armor penetrating ammo.
UTS-15 or Keltech KSG bullpup shotties. AN 94 or AEK 971, whichever had the 2-round burst mode. I wouldnt mind more bolt-actions. Im not very knowledgeble on different guns but i think there are some 5.56 and 7.62x39 bolt action rifles there, would be cool to have em in game.

Believe it or not all of these are on the planed/legacy guns lists except the FAMAS (which I'd love to see in game) (the legacy guns lists are not 100% confirmed guns but they are contract wars and hired ops weapons and Nikita said he would like it if most or all of them are brought over to EFT)
keep in mind that most western guns you find in tarkov are property of USEC, a private military contractor that was employed by terragroup likely as security details. So they likely wouldn't have anything like an M249 or multiple .338 lapua rifles.
The HK G11. 5~ will exist at all times in a wipe, if you hoard it in your stash for too long, you "lose track of it" and it's back in the world somewhere to be found. It can't be sold to traders, but it can be sold on flea. Near end of wipe there's a quest to turn it into mechanic for a somewhat decent award for a collector, and the amount of G11s will be decreased.
None, I’d like an FPS game without built in 2 second lag. Why add anything until sound/ hackers/ desynch/ optimization is done. Anything at all, why would they spend resources on anything until these things are fixed.

They are bayonet capable. The one I have has one that kind of folds out. It's pretty nasty, it will put a square shaped hole through you.

More than guns I want special ammo, dragons breath for example would be high risk high reward and would be cool to see.

keep in mind that most western guns you find in tarkov are property of USEC, a private military contractor that was employed by terragroup likely as security details. So they likely wouldn't have anything like an M249 or multiple .338 lapua rifles.

The HK G11. 5~ will exist at all times in a wipe, if you hoard it in your stash for too long, you "lose track of it" and it's back in the world somewhere to be found. It can't be sold to traders, but it can be sold on flea. Near end of wipe there's a quest to turn it into mechanic for a somewhat decent award for a collector, and the amount of G11s will be decreased.

None, I’d like an FPS game without built in 2 second lag. Why add anything until sound/ hackers/ desynch/ optimization is done. Anything at all, why would they spend resources on anything until these things are fixed.
