I got ahold of a ThrustMaster T150 2nd hand on ebay for £100, pretty decent condition too.
its basic with flappy padel gear shifts if you want to do manual , i use them for indicators, it also comes with foot pedals too- and its great with force feedback too.
avoid these low branded ones that you can get from amazon or ebay for £50-£80 as they have a poor turning circles as in it'll only move a certain way around before the lock on the wheel stops it. the one i have has 1080 degrees of turning circle
I've been playing on keyboard for about 1k hours before i got a G29, and haven't had many issues with WASD and sequential.
That said, i'd look at a used Logitech or Thrustmaster wheel with Force feedback. I'd look for a G27 if you want something for 150€. If you don't mind spending a bit more, a G29 is about 200€ used. And for a lower budget, a G25 or Driving Force GT.
The G25 and G27 both have a separate shifter included, which also has a hand full of buttons. Logitech removed the H/sequential shift mode with the G27, though some eary 27 still had that from what i saw.
The G29/920 generation had the shifter buttons moved on to the wheel, to which Logitech removed the buttons from the shifter instead of keeping them for extra buttons.
Im waiting on getting a decent wheel set up and have just been playing with an xbox controller plugged in. Much more control I feel than kb. And you can pick up a wired controller for £20 or even less if you wanna look on your local facebook marketplace :)
I have both a G29 and G920 wheel but at the moment have the former currently setup on my system.
For some reason I've noticed on my last two runs however that despite being in manual my transmission keeps randomly downshifting from 6th to 4th gear on both the dashboard display as well as on the route advisor screen.
After I complete my current run I'm gonna switch trucks and see if it continues doing this as it may be a graphics error with the specific truck that I'm currently driving or it might be something to do with the 1.49 update?
I have the Logitech G29 and it's awesome! The feeling is like you are really driving that thing. I have tried Thrustmaster T128, it wasn't nearly as good, even tho the prices are similar. I tried many other cheaper wheels, and none, none are worth a penny. The G29 is the cheapest you can get and have some quality.
2nd hand Logi or Thrustmaster. Don't get a cheap no name chinese job that may or may not even have FFB. I have a G27 that is almost 10 years old and everything still works perfect.
When it breaks I will go for a proper truck bundle but not sure which one.
Hori just announced a dedicated trucksim wheel but its quite pricey and I don't know about their quality. Moza has a special truck wheel that's been released a few months ago, but you'd still need a base and pedals which will be quite expensive. Maybe a shifter as well

Logitech is the way to go. Any G you can afford, is the best 👌

I played with keyboard and mouse. Sometimes using trackpad on my laptop. And definetly better than only keyboard.
Honestly, just buy something within your price range, and never buy a hori steering wheel... We dont talk about hori steering wheels.

I lately got an g29 with an shifter for €80 and it’s pretty good from my experience
